Breakfast was good but could have offered warm porridge as they were offering cooked breakfast. All range of people staying there the hotel was trendy and the furniture and layout was not old fashion.

The bedding sheets and pillow cases could have been 100% cotton and not a mix of polyester which I know was minimum but at that price for the room you expect 100% cotton plus the duvet should was very warm hence it should have been of a lower tog. Facing the room to the back of building was not great and a choice should be offered. Found the towels and the bath mat had marks which I should have complained and next time check everything prior to settling in the room

Absolutely stunning hotel room with fantastic service

The ask of a £50 deposit despite paying in advance and having arrived at 01:00 to check in with a check out of 11:00am that morning. Didn’t see the need really.

The stylish interior and the location was perfect! The staff member on arrival was rather cold and seemed uninterested, but the other staff were very helpful. He explained we needed to pay a £50 deposit and we will get it back at the end of our stay but we never received it.

The cold member of staff who first greeted us, he seemed uninterested and dismissive. He told us they needed a £50 deposit which I’ll receive back at the end of our stay, we never got the money back…? The room was extremely small The windows didn’t open even a little bit, the air con was incredible as it was a boiling weekend, but abit if fresh air would of been appreciated. This was our second time staying at this hotel i would go again, just hopefully get a bigger room.

For a hotel chain, it felt like an independent and really quirky. Decor was cool and contemporary, and the room was lovely! Although not a huge amount of interaction with staff, when we did they were helpful and friendly. Location was great too!

Nothing significant of note - Our only ‘grumble’ was that the hotel bar (which is supposed to be open ‘until late’) closed just before midnight on the Saturday when we returned for a little night cap before retiring to our room. There were other people in the bar lounge and about 6 or 7 others at the bar when the barman just said ‘sorry guys we’re now closed’. If it was a Sunday or weekday night we could understand, but for a Saturday night it was a bit disappointing.

Really like the vibe of the hotel on entry. The decor is cool and quirky, the staff were super friendly and took our luggage for safe storage while we explored Manchester before our room was ready. We hadn't planned to, but we ended up having dinner and breakfast here. Dinner was excellent, the cocktails outstanding, the bar staff amazing. Breakfast was also good, I did feel that it could have offered a bit more than a standard full english and continental, as I was hoping for an eggs bennedict! The location of the hotel is also pretty good as it's just off the really busy areas so you don't get disturbed by the excessive noise of drunken revelers on their night out. Also well placed for the Northern Quarter and Peter Street.

We had a room with balcony/ terrace. Prior to going to the hotel I was worried about the size of the room as it looks small in the pictures online. In reality the room was fine, definitely one of the smaller rooms I've stayed in but it didn't feel claustrophobic.

My wife and I stayed in a club room number 308, which looked out to the rear of the hotel on the third floor, the room was imacculate, with the usual tea coffee making facilities, a very very comfortable bed, large flat screen tv and bedside radio. The en-suite was a good size with a walk-in shower, heated towel rails, and again, immaculately clean. There are 3 lifts all next to each other, so we had no delays what so ever when moving between the ground floor where the restaurant, bar and reception are located and our 3rd floor. The lifts only operate via your room security key/card. With my wife having mobility issues, it came as a great relief to find easy access to all areas. (No steps). The staff were amazing throughout the hotel, we indulged in the self-service breakfast each morning. The food was hot and well prepared. The hotel itself is in a great location with easy access to public transport, or the reception will arrange a taxi from the hotel entrance in no time at all. We would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Personally, we could not fault the hotel. However, having read many reviews for hotels in general, I would point out that the views from room 308 are not overly inspiring. As I previously mentioned, the room looks out to the rear of the hotel into a narrow alley. This had zero effect on our stay as we were looking for a safe, comfortable, quiet, and relaxing break.. And we certainly had that.

I booked a highline room on the 8th floor for a 2 night stay in Manchester with my daughter. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome by reception and bar staff. The lovely bar staff made my daughter a surprise cocktail which she says was wonderful. Our room was large and very comfortable with all the facilities we could ask for. Loved having robes and a coffee machine - that was a really nice touch. The decor was really tasteful and we had a nice view over the city. We slept so well as the beds were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too with lovely toiletries available. The room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was also wonderful - Hotel Brooklyn is the first hotel I have stayed in that offered oatmilk as an alternative to cow's milk (as well as soya, almond etc) and there was a really good choice of food and drink available. We also loved the decor in the hotel lobby - especially the stoop and the "suit" chair. There were charging points everywhere and numerous comfy couches and seats. Throughout our stay, the staff were fantastic and a real credit to Hotel Brooklyn. My daughter described the hotel as having what a lot of hotels of a similar standing wished they had but just don't, and I totally agree. I would highly recommend and am planning a return visit later in the year as I enjoyed my stay so much.

Only negative - I wish I could have turned down the heat for the towel rail in the bathroom as it was very warm in there !!

I came for a lovely weekend with a friend. We wanted to see the area around Canal Street. Having been here before I excepted a very high standard, and was not disappointed. The room was immaculate and comfortable. The staf responds to every little request.

The place is great ... My one niggle is the price of beverages at the bar. I get it this is an upper class hotel .. but 32 quid for 2 Hendricks G&T. Yes the service is exceptional, and this is the only niggle about a hotel I stay at when I am in Manchester. So that should be high praise

I've stayed this hotel a few times and one of the reasons is that its not a homogenised hotel experience. The decor, design and ethos is modern and progressive, which I enjoy. The room, and the bathroom in particular, is spacious and well equipped.

As per the question above, a combination of mood lighting and dark furnishings and flooring lead to the rooms being quite dark. I'd also like to see USB ports in the power sockets, especially next to the beds. The staff at the front counter could be more welcoming. Not even a glimpse in my direction each time I entered the property on the way to my room from being outside of the hotel. Parking at the closest Q-Park is crazy expensive, even with the generous discount provided by the hotel.
