All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful the room was clean and comfortable with a wonderful large double bed! excellent shower and top-notch complimentary toiletries. Free bottled water too. Pricey but excellent buffet breakfast. Nice bar and restaurant. very relaxing with big screen TV's too. Parking on-site was not cheap but the location of the hotel made it worthwhile rather than searching for another car park and the hotel was very central to the city bars and shops to walk.

A few days after returning home I received a parking charge Fine of £100 from Parking eye.! via the post. Currently in the process now of attempting to have this cancelled but pretty infuriating considering I paid in advance to the hotel for the privilege of parking in the hotel car park. This is hassle I do not need and of course totally unnecessary. This has badly stained our stay and I am left with a bitter taste in my mouth!

Room very nice but very poorly lit and hairdryer very difficult to use any where near a lit mirror. Was a little cold so could have done with an extra blanket or bedding,

Dinner was appalling! Sent my Caesar Salad back and did not order anything else, Staff were not informed or knowledgeable about the menu or wine list. They bought me the wrong bottle of wine and would not have mentioned it if I had not noticed it and I would have been charged over £10 more for inferior wine. Breakfast staff and selection was excellent however and the lady running the breakfast service was an absolute delight.

We had an upgrade which was lovely. We were told it was for the first night only however, due to a cancellation we were allowed to stay!

I had booked the room through booking.com and had printed out the booking. When I was paying I was charged a higher rate and luckily I was able to show my booking. The lady had to go away and ask but luckily she came back and said she would honour the rate I had been quoted. This shouldn’t have happened! Also I was asked to pay for the champagne that I had ordered for the birthday of my husband. This was supposed to be a surprise when we got to the room but this was spoilt by her saying “I can see you’ve ordered champagne would you like to pay for it separately” it completely spoiled the surprise!

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past month and will hopefully be returning every time I travel to Manchester. I used to stay at either the Hilton hotels or Premier Inn if I was staying for the whole week due to the price but this hotel just has everything I need, it's nice and clean and the staff are lovely. There's room service (although I haven't used it yet), the location is ideal with sainsburys and tesco just a short walk away as well as other food stores and the room has such lovely character to it.

Breakfast is a bit steep, £17 for egg, toast and a coffee. I think I'll stick to a cafe next time and just pay for what I'm actually eating. There isn't great lighting in the room and there aren't any sockets near the bed. It's a bit touch and go with parking, sometimes there'll be a spot, other times there won't be. Parking tip: just outside the hotel there are three parking spots on the road. There's no signage and no cameras so luckily we could park for free during our stay. Neither issues are a deal breaker for me but just

The bed was large, clean and comfortable The range and quality of breakfast was excellent Staff were helpful and friendly whilst maintaining a professional manner

The room was advertised with a City view which would be hard to achieve with all of the high rise in the area, however our view was of scaffolding directly outside. If we had been staying for more than one night we would have asked to have been moved The blind did not fully close and bright sunlight awoke us streaming onto the bed from dawn and it was not possible to get back to sleep The lighting was very subdued and there was no lighting over or around the dressing table which made it difficult for my wife to apply her make-up and resulted in having to stand awkwardly to apply in the bathroom using the shaving mirror

Breakfast options and service excellent. Great location for going to exhibitions at The Warehouse, Aviva Studios. Spoke Natalie to say we wouldn't be arrive until after midnight and the message was passed on to the night team she was polite friendly and helpful.

Frustrated there on site car park all be it small but not advertised, having to park at the NCP and walk to hotel when checking in at 01:00 because the on site car parking is not advertised was annoying. Rooms are not sound proof so was woken up by noise and people in hallway from 07:30.

Friendly welcome and the Cleaning team attain the highest standards. The location is within easy walking distance of the City center. The room are well fitted and maintained and the Dinning facilities are welcoming for a light lunch or more intimate evening meals. Al round superb hotel that punches above its weight. It is to the credit of the staff that a corporate brand hotel makes the effort to inject an element of intimacy.

The price of the Car park is bordering profiteering if staying at the hotel. £20 for one night is in my opinion not justifiable a

Lots of charm and very quiet in the room - slept really well, which is unusual when I stay away. We tried the bar food - it was excellent - and the staff were friendly and attentive.

I’m 5’ 11” - anyone taller would have felt uncomfortable, especially in the shower, where there was about 2” above my head to the ceiling (no exaggeration). There’s a major building project going on right outside the front of the hotel - this was NOT a problem when inside the hotel, but it did feel like I was walking through a construction zone on a couple of occasions.

Lovely atmosphere at the hotel. We had a room with two double beds which was perfect for our family of 3. Comfortable beds, and the room was quite spacious. Our room was next to the elevator, so there was some noise, but nothing too bothersome. We had dinner at the restaurant, which felt kind of like a cozy pub. The breakfast was also good. Quiet street, and a local grocery store just across the bridge. We can absolutely recommend this place! If/when we return to Manchester, we won't be looking for another hotel. :-)

I wish more hotels had better soundproofing between rooms - including this hotel. However, I guess that's just part of staying at a hotel...

The room was comfortable and had everything we expected, drink making facilities, iron, good quality toiletries. The lounge was very comfortable and the breakfast area had a pleasant outlook over the canal. Breakfast was good with a good variety of items available. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and we felt it was part of their ethos to try and not merely serve their guests, but to add to their experience in a positive way.

We could hear prolonged chatter from another room on the evening we arrived, though thankfully that did not continue into the night and we couldn’t work out where it was coming from. Bed was a standard double which is a bit small compared to what we are used to. There was scaffolding outside our window, though thankfully no workmen using it whilst we were there. The lift service was a bit slow as one of the two, lifts was out of order and the other seemed to progress very slowly.
