Has been decorated in a fun and funky way … especially the ‘cow theme’ bedrooms. We booked two rooms and the ‘cow’ one was very spacious and had a lovely big modern bathroom. The staff were incredibly friendly and hard working. Our food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious.
The second room we booked (not cow themed) was cramped and not decorated to the same standard as the more modern rooms. Although the staff all worked very hard there weren’t enough of them. They would have struggled to cope if the pub was full. It was very difficult to book one room for single occupancy and one to be set up as a twin, with the correct number of breakfasts on Booking.com, with the drop-down options provided. I think this is a fault of the system rather than the Bull Inn.

The location Not much else to be honest Stayed in much nicer hotels with better rooms breakfast included comfort and clean Stayed in holiday inn Watford weekend 160 beautiful clean beautiful breakfast Obviously this is a historic building and we appreciate that but come on the overpriced rooms need looking at
The room was basic for £170 small hate a bed that is next to a wall hard to climb in and out I'm 60 and have bad knees Toilet dirty Food was expensive 2 buger and chips a pint and a rum and Coke £45 is very overpriced Morning was busy 1 member of staff to deal.with everything 10 people already down for breakfast at 8 We had to be out for 9.30 no chance for us to have breakfast as too busy would have been a rush Maybe a continental breakfast option included in the very expensive for what you get room should be an option Same room we had £70 in the week doesn't make sense the massive price hike at the weekend

The food was incredible, at first I was like this is fairly pricey for what I thought would be standard microwaved pub grub but it was worth every penny believe me. I had braised beef and it was amazing and had so much flavour, I am in no way a foodie but it was lovely. The room was cute, TV, tea and coffee and a decent bathroom. Beds were clean and comfortable but maybe slightly firmer than I'm used to but I slept well. Breakfast was lovely and good quality products. Atmosphere in the bar area where food was served is warm, home touches which I liked and staff were all so lovely which again doesn't always happen.
The room had a few bits that some would be what I would class snobby about, some of the grout in the bathroom was discoloured but to what I would class as a normal degree but personally for the money I paid I was incredibly happy I literally cannot fault this place

The location was lovely, as was the Gold room.
Upon arrival at reception the reception desk had been chosen as a place to store two plates of steak. They were taken away and blood was left on the desk, No drama a it wasnt mine but not the impression you want to give customers arriving at the premises. We were put in the gold room which was lovely. However, when we came to have a shower in the morning there was no hot water. We went to breaksfast which took an absolute age to get sevreed and was missing items. The staff in the morning seemed very unhappy at being left short staffed and made no apology for the slow service.

What a lovely hotel this is. Right next to A11 but no bother with noise, it's soundproofed. Beautiful old building but bang up to date with all creature comforts, boutique style. They also had something rather novel in this day and age.... a metal key for your room's door, so no card that could get corrupted by your phone, or need 6 attempts to open your door, or to be inserted into a slot to get the lights to work... plain old fashioned common sense. Another thing that was GREAT was the heating. We could actually control the radiator ourselves, and weren't at the mercy of back office people directed by corporate accountants to over-ride the settings. Wonderful!!! They'd even got a second backup radiator stood next to the plumbed in one, as a reserve/additional unit. Room furnishings were tasteful, and upmarket. The bed was comfy, as was the bed linen and duvet. The guy (he was English) who checked us in was an enthusiastic & cheery soul too... just what you need after a long journey! I think he was some kind of manager because he was on duty in the bar & restaurant later. We enjoyed a full evening dinner, food was tasty, portions good size, service was efficient polite and laid back with none of the airs & graces one normally has to endure in UK 'hospitality' these days. (which was one of the reasons we chose The Bull by the way... we normally use chains when we're away on business, but they're charging silly prices, and virtue signaling all the time post 'pandemic' so we're no longer using them)
Nothing really. There were minor cleaning issues, but apparently their regular housekeeper was in hospital, so no worries. The overall stay was superb.

We loved staying here. The decor is funky and appealing. Everyone who works here is wonderful. We asked about walking to Mildenhall and the waitress walked us outside to show us where the path started along the river Lark. We had a delicious dinner in the pub in the evening and a great breakfast. Everyone was willing to chat with us and was very very kind.
Nothing. It was all wonderful.

Décor & Ambience 10/10
We were staying just Friday night wanting breakfast early Saturday and it stated they did Saturday breakfasts @ 8am There were about 10 people as keen as us to get breakfast and get on the road. Sadly breakfast was very slow and we didn't get on the road until closer to 9am I overheard several other couples comment that breakfast was way too slow at being delivered, noting the actual food was great !

The quality of the food and way it was cooked, was exceptional (dinner and breakfast). Beds very comfortable with luxurious bedding, large, comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Character inn at great value.
Although breakfast when it arrived, was exceptionally good (salmon and scrambled eggs on toast and full English), it took around 45 minutes to arrive so we were starving and a bit grumpy. Also, as it's a set price for breakfast (£10.95), I was a bit taken aback to initially be charged on an itemised basis, which came to more than the fixed breakfast charge - until I pointed this out.

The lovely large and very soft bed!!! - great nights sleep - Quiet considering the road nearby (room 4) - Plenty of coffee, tea, milk and biscuits available from reception - the size of room was good - the good sized bathroom (shower only - but very large) - the pub shut down the live music entertainment (10.30pm approx.) early enough for us to get to sleep - good bar and evening meal (seating in/outdoor). Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room - Quirky bedside lamps and metal cabinet - very friendly, polite and helpful staff - Nearby garage for newspaper (5 min walk) Parking on site - Would recommend and definitely stay again.
One or two wobbly steps to bedroom however it is a very old building so perfectly acceptable - TV had no signal but we don't watch much anyway so not a problem for us - Shower door a tad heavy to close - no hooks on bathroom door for hanging clothes

The pub/hotel is a in a beuatiful old building in the village ofg Barton Mill. Staff were very welcoming and the room was high quality with a comfortable bed and lovely modern bathroom. location is next to a busy dua carriageway yet somehow it doesnt seem to notice. the bar area is cosy although we didnt use it.
the breakfast options were limited although this was down to staff sickness and we were still well catered for with a big pot of tea and toast.
