Gerry was absolutely brilliant with communication, and accessing the apartment was very easy using his instructions for the door code and keys. I booked this room for the night before beginning my West Highland Way hike, and the location was superb...just steps from the train station and the trailhead. Location was most important to me as a solo female hiker. What a lovely apartment, decorated simply but beautifully and so comfortable. The full kitchen is wonderful - although I just used the coffee maker as I was just there one night. It was quiet even though it is on the main square in Milngavie. I highly recommend this property to anyone - especially WHW hikers looking for an amazing start to their hike. Thanks Gerry! You have a beautiful property.

Loved all of it!

Fabulous location right on the shopping street, really well placed for the train station and the start of the West Highland Way. Plenty of car parking nearby too. Our apartment was comfortable and warm with a good shower. We slept really well even though it was blowing a gale outside. Kitchen had a hob, oven, microwave, kettle etc. but was lacking a few utensils although we were fine cooking a simple evening meal. We would be more than happy to stay again.

Kitchen could have been better equipped and a little cleaner but not really an issue.

The apartment itself was very clean and tidy. It was a good size and the bathroom and shower room were decent sized and spotless too. The location of the apartment is great, being a mere 3 minute walk from the train station. It is within very easy walking distance of a variety of shops and is excellently located to start the West Highland Way or indeed just have a leisurely stroll around the many trails and paths around Milngavie. All in all we were extremely happy with every aspect of our stay and we are already talking about a return visit.

There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like. We felt that everything was spot on and we genuinely couldn't find fault with anything.

I was visiting family in Milngavie and chose this accommodation because of its central location. The studio was great, spotlessly clean with a view over the countryside. The flat is well-equipped and has a comfortable bed. Accessing the keys was easy. for the price, I thought it was excellent and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Milngavie. It's super close to the start of the West Highland Way, so a great place for hikers. There are cafes, pubs and supermarkets within a few minutes walk.

The owners left us with no dubiety as to how to access the building. Their communication has been outstanding. I've contacted them a fair few times and they always respond promptly. This apartment is clean very well epuipt and THE BEST SPOT for WHW walkers. We flew overnight to Scotland from Toronto. Neither my partner nor I sleep on the flight. So we decided to stay 1!night before starting our hike of the West Highland Way. The room was only a few blocks from the train station and the start of the walk. It was very safe and very quiet. It was a great beginning. Gerry the host was very friendly and helpful.

I thought it was perfect.

Absolutely amazing accommodation which is in a fantastic location and was totally spotless with everything you could possibly need on you doorstep as you are right in the town centre. Also had the pleasure of briefly meeting the owner who was a total Gent and let me drop my bag off whilst I went away for some lunch.

Nothing, totally 100% perfect

Perfect location with excellent facilities! Cosy and comfortable, I never sleep when I'm away, I slept like a baby. Also, it felt very safe for a solo female traveller.

There was nothing I disliked. The only thing I'd say is a mirror by a socket point for us ladies that blow dry their hair 🙈 would be icing on the cake.

We loved the open plan loft space, which was light, airy, spacious and well furnished. We loved the location which was not far from the station carpark (where we were able to leave the car), and only a few metres from the start of The West Highland Way.

We both found the pillows too high and had to improvise something lower. The kitchen was very small but adequate for a 1 night stay.

The facilities, location and contact with the host were all excellent. Great space and has absolutely everything you could need - way beyond what we expected for such a reasonable price.

Unfortunately the bedding didn’t feel the freshest (just a little bit tired/bobbly). We also noticed a stain which looked like bird droppings on one of the pillows, but by this stage it was late at night and we didn’t want to bother the host. This didn’t affect our night’s sleep however and we were still really happy with the room.
