Comfy room (bed a little bit soft for me but very comfy). Room was excellent and clean, as was bathroom. All in all, excellent value for money. The staff, including the owner, went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after and had a good stay. Breakfast was also yummy!

The duvet was a bit heavy and warm so I had to keep kicking it off to get cool then putting it back on to heat up again. Not the hotel's fault but shame it wasn't a lighter tog quilt.

Fantastic food in the restaurant and a cosy, traditional bar area filled with character which was very popular with locals. Beautifully maintained gardens. Supremely comfortable room with jacuzzi bath, Sky TV and probably the most comfortable bed we had ever slept in! The staff were really friendly and professional.

Some areas could have done with a bit of maintenance/ redecoration, but for the price point we felt it was very good value for money.

We were visiting family nearby for Christmas and we had our dog with us so the Glazert was perfect for us. All the staff were very welcoming, the room turn around service was excellent and, despite us giving no advance notice, we were treated to substantial veggie breakfasts each morning of our stay. We would be happy to return to the Glazert and can recommend to anyone visiting the Campsie Hills, especially if you have a dog with you.

One of the showers was a little temperamental.

Really nice surroundings, plenty of walks for the doggies, room location was fab, straight out into the car park for the dogs, staff were super friendly and helpful, we took our dogs into the bar for our breakfast which was great, had an evening meal there and it didn't disappoint, all in all a lovely little stopover with a fab little beer garden in the sun.

Lovely country house set in beautiful gardens. Food was excellent, good choice of menu for dinner and plentiful breakfast at very reasonable prices. The room was large and the bed comfortable. Full selection of TV channels helped get through a wet evening. Staff friendly and helpful and surroundings very comfortable. A very pleasant stay.

Friendly staff Excellent breakfast. Good meals served in restaurant. Room clean and refreshed daily Good location. Interesting that the hotel had a separate entrance from the main building, but it helped having the room key open the main entrance, so no need for late reception desk.

A hidden 5 star gem, such a great hotel Such a warm welcome by Paul and his team. The room was spotless and such comfy beds and pillows guaranteed a great nights sleep. The food was just simply outstanding. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in through the UK.

If there was one minor it was the shower could of been more powerful, however that said it was still good enough.

The hotel was lovely, the room was lovely. The location was perfect, especially if you have a dog, ane the hotel is pet friendly so ideal if can't be parted from your furry friend. The food was amazing, absolutely delicious and it does take out if just fancy a quiet night in your room. It's a very friendly relaxing hotel and the staff can't do enough for you . And the price for food and beverages won't spoil your stay. Very reasonable.

Fresh cooked breakfast. When "madame" did it, the presentation was exceptional. All food was presented in big portions. The restaurant's wild mushroom risotto was superb. The cream tea with cakes was absolutely delightful. All the staff were very customer orientated. You only had to ask............! The room was a good size and very comfortable. The hot water was very hot. Easy to find - on a main road but set back in its garden grounds. Handy bus stop with link to Glasgow airport etc.

The tea and coffee were on the weak side. I am sure we could have asked for different, but didnt bother. The accommodation is accessed from a different side of the building from the reception and restaurant. You need a coat to go down to breakfast in winter!

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Both attentive and understanding. Nothing was too much. Could not fault the service. All food, the breakfasts and the dinner we had were cooked to perfection. The dinner was very good value. That the hotel serves lunches to seniors was obviously a very welcome gesture to locals. The bar was filled on both days of our stay. The room we stayed in was large and had a tv over the bath. Dog friendly in an area of Scotland with numerous walks right from the door.

Our room was a little 'tired' It can be extremely difficult and enormously expensive to redecorate an older property like this. We do understand as we have been renovating our own older house for years. Perhaps one room at a time is the way to go and is the only improvement we might suggest.
