The whole experience from start to finish was wonderful. We had to visit Scotland for a sad occasion and the hosts could not have been more accommodating, they allowed us to check in early and even remembered the reason why we needed to and wished us well. The rooms were very cosy with everything you could need (including amazing views, especially when it snowed!) Comfy bed, TV, tea and coffee, hair dryer and a great shower! Breakfast was cooked to perfection and the little added touch of oat milk (I advised I had a milk intolerance when choosing breakfast) meant I could enjoy a nice hot drink on a very cold Scottish morning. All of the staff/owners were so friendly as are their dogs and horses 😍 Would 100% recommend and are already talking about using them for another trip we are planning next year. Thank you so much for a brilliant stay.

This was a great place to base ourselves for a few days, being half way between Edinburgh and Glasgow, and not far South of Falkirk, with a 5-10 minute drive to trains and buses.Our room and unsuite well set up, and the attached kitchen/ TV room was great with everything we could need for meals, etc. The cooked breakfast prepared by Wayne and Heather, our wonderful hosts, was fantastic, with my partner especially liking the syrup porridge. Would recommend.

Lovely location, near the main road which I thought at first was noisy but as soon as I shut the window and the night came in it was very quiet. Liked the room and option of using the communal kitchen/dining area. Very comfortable pillows and duvet. Enough space on floor for my dogs' bed. Only stayed the one night but would stay again.

Just a suggestion but a mattress topper would be a great addition as the mattress was a little uncomfortable.

Room was comfortable, breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Nothing we could complain about really. Location is a bit unusual and if you're following GPS to the location do not miss the little slip off on the bend!!

Perhaps a clearer sign showing guest house is to the left coming in. Perhaps a small lower table in the room for older folk to pour their tea etc.

We had a great 2 night stay in 2 rooms. The hosts were great, lovely breakfast, even at 7am on the first day. Even though it's close to the M8 in the room there was no noise at all. There's a nice communal area if you want to relax or eat a takeaway. Plenty of parking and it's well out of the way so very secure. Great information book and recommendations for local eateries and taxis. All in all excellent and great value.

Just off the motorway with easy access. Hosts were super, so friendly and welcoming. Had to extend my stay by one night - wasn't a bother for them. Nothing was ever too much to ask. Breakfast was lovely and had quite a few options. I was offered a packed lunch instead of breakfast as I was leaving early which I thought was a nice gesture. Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and loved how dog friendly it was! The bed was super comfy. I would definitely stay here again (just with a car next time!)

Could hear the other guests in opposite room get up very early in the mornings unlocking and locking the door due to the fact the doors had older style lock and key it was quite loud them fumbling about with it!

Was going to be checking in late, after 11pm - host was happy to accommodate. Very welcoming host, very comfortable bed and silent location - slept very soundly. Full cooked breakfast was excellent and served immediately as was prearranged night before. Very nice farm-type location that you wouldn't think was just off the M8 (and it is literally JUST off it)

Wayne and Heather were the perfect host, gave good advice and recommendations on places to see and how to get there. Breakfast was lovely. Location was great as in the middle of Glasgow and Edinburgh. We took the 900 bus from Harthill Services to both places. Had a great takeaway from Spicy Nights!

Booked a room at the Blairmains Guest House for my parents coming to visit me from oversees. I didn’t know what to expect and they had a great stay. Great location, friendly people, very peaceful. Highly recommend!

Everything about Blairmains Guest House was excellent, very welcoming and homely,Breakfast was lovely,a hearty breakfast sets me up for the day ,will definitely return and stay here again
