Everything was great! The staff were lovely, the room I was given had a great view and was a good size. Everything was clean and hotel was situated in a great area for getting around. Breakfast had a really nice large spread, with many options, and there was even an unexpected record fair that was taking place the day that I left! Glad I made the choice to stay here.

Nothing to complain about really. A possible negative was even turned into a positive – check-in usually isn’t until 4pm on a Fri and Sat, but as I arrived earlier, and they luckily had a room ready, they very kindly allowed me to check in early (which was much appreciated) So all good really! :)

Excellent location. Excellent view of the Tyne and bridges. Really comfortable, large rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect location for Newcastle city centre and its brilliant pubs, bars and restaurants. Parking conveniently above hotel and easy to access.

Parking at £10 per night was absolutely fine - though not made clear before booking. No soap/shower gels - which other hotels such as Premier Inns get right. Most annoying in truth is the almost constant bombardment of emails prior to and after staying. Check in required. Check out required (just why?) and even sending requests for reviews BEFORE even staying!

Booked a twin room at this hotel as my Daughter was having a look at Newcastle Uni. We had a little balcony overlooking the Tyne. The room was spotless and the beds were really comfy. We ran out of teabags as only a couple in the room - but the lovely staff on reception gave us more no probs at all. Plenty of choice at breakfast and a decent menu of an evening as well. We stayed two nights and had a brilliant weekend - although my feet may disagree with me! If my Daughter chooses Newcastle Uni - then we will deffo be staying here again. Staff were lovely & friendly, as were everyone in Newcastle. The food was lovely and the room was excellent. Thank You for a lovely weekend.

There wasn’t anything. My Daughter used the gym, it was small, but sufficient enough for her to use. But there was only her in the gym on two occasions and then another occasion, there were a couple more people in. Plenty of towels etc in there.

Superb location with on-site parking. We had a lovely river view on the 3rd floor a good distance away from the lift area which was most welcome. The room was very comfortable and well appointed, although tired looking in places. The beds were great and we had two wonderful nights sleep. Housekeeping was faultless. Having a small fridge in the room was a a bonus as we were able to keep cool items we'd bought for our trip out the next day

Unfortunately I discovered that the cabinet/table that housed the fridge was a bit too close to the bed. I didn't anticipate this whilst stretching over to pump my pillow which resulted in a nasty gash in the top of my forearm. the cabinet corner was quite pointed. Fortunately I am medical trained and was able to deal with it. The cut is still very sore but healing nicely. I won't include a pic to put potential readers off..

The location was great🥳. Right on the banks of the Tyne with access to multiple bars and restaurants. All the staff that we met were lovely and very helpful.

The hotel is in desperate need of a refit! We had a suite and while the bedroom was huge with a table 2 armchairs and a sofa the bathroom was very compact🤔. The bath was very shallow with an overhead shower that desperately needs updating🤔 The toilet was situated directly behind the door within a very compact alcove. The super king bed was set into an odd piece of furniture which meant there was no headboard, made it very difficult to sit up in bed.

Great location. Room was comfortable and had all expected amenities. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and good quality. Buffet breakfast was convenient and quick. Generally staff were pleasant and helpful.

No view of bridge/river from room 130. Very long wait for 2 burgers on the first night. Guy on reception at check in could have communicated important information better such as breakfast times and special offers such as a deal for evening meal, a runner's menu and discount before 6.30 pm which we would have taken advantage of if we had been made aware of them.

The location was perfect. Close to everything but far enough away for a peaceful night. It was very relaxing beside the river and the amazing large window in the room gave great views and the distant sound of the metro trains lulled us to sleep. Perfect location for the arena if you don't mind a wee dander. Loved having a fridge in the room. Breakfast had a good selection, even for a fussy veggie. The staff are all lovely and so helpful.

Like other reviews said, it could do with a bit of a facelift but this did not affect the quality of our stay. Quite expensive for what you get.

All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and the receptionists were very helpful. The room was a good size and a comfortable temperature. The bed was large and comfortable. We were pleased that our room overlooked the river. Location was good, just a short walk away from pubs and restaurants.

The range of hot drinks in the room could have been more extensive and generous. The bathroom was OK but the bath and shower were a bit tired and in need of an update. At breakfast, some of the hot food fell somewhat short of our expectations.

Our room was spacious. Bed was comfortable and I liked the pillows. Nice view from our room, waterfront location with river view from our bedroom. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good, had plenty of choices. I loved the warm croissants! Location was good, just a short walk away from restaurants, bars and the Tyne bridges.

The bathroom could be refurbished. No charging plugs beside the beds.

Nice warm clean spacious room with lovely view. Staff very friendly, and welcoming. Local to all the nightlife, and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The only downside was the steep hill going into town, especially if you are of impaired health. The breakfast was average, mainly because of the lack of cold buffets selection,.the fried eggs need some work. Stayed for 4days each day the eggs looked dry, stale and moribund. No mushrooms provided, and only a choice of white and brown sliced bread in the bread selection, Having said all that, I would still return because everything else made up for our stay!

Breakfast.
