It was absolutely superb! from the minute we stepped our feet over the threshold, Sharon and her team were very welcoming and had a good chat and laugh with us, which is just was what we needed after over a 6 hour drive. Such a homely feeling, and when they discovered my dad could not manage stairs very well, they immediately located him to another room when checking in. I had a single room on the top floor (three flights, but was fine for me) and my Dad had a double room on first floor (no ground floor rooms) and he was fine. The rooms were compact, but lovely, and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable (extra pillows in wardrobe), and the shower was lovely with complimentary toilets. The breakfast was amazing, we chose the full english both days (choice of how you would like your eggs cooked) with toast and marmalade etc. Orange juice and either tea, coffee etc. Also a choice of cereals and fruit. The staff were really polite, with a welcoming smile each morning and stopping for a chat if they knew you would welcome this. They take a genuine interest in their guests and that's lovely. We were staying for a family funeral, but the team helped keep our spirits high. In easy driving reach of Newcastle sights where we visited both evenings. Would definitely stay again and hope to return next year. Keep up the excellent work.

The Staff were all really friendly and helpful. My room was immaculate, roomy and bright. The breakfast room was very nice and the breakfast was plentiful. The location was perfect as I was visiting my daughter in the area, and Jesmond has a great urban village feel to it with bars and cafe's and a fantastic bakery. It's also an easy walk into Newcastle or a short step to the metro, and within walking distance of various parks. I went running in the local area early morning and felt safe as a woman. Also walked back after dark and felt safe with lots of people about and a friendly vibe to the area.

I enjoyed my stay at the Osborne Hotel. Although it is a 2-star hotel, it offers high level of comfort. The cooked breakfast was fabulous, it was served in a nice dining room by friendly staff. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I believe it is people that make or break businesses, and in case of this hotel, its best value is the personnel. My special thanks to the lady who helped me to catch the bus to the Quayside (the Google maps don't show this route, and it saved me a lot of time and some walking under the rain).

There's nothing in particular that I disliked. If you have trouble walking the stairs, you should mind that there's no elevator. But overall, everything was fine.

We stop at the Osbourne to attend The Hoppings FunFair, me my wife and my son.The room was a very good size, the staff was friendly loved the friendly banter with Sharon no matter what time of the day she was always happy funny and cheerful. The breakfast was really good well cooked and plenty of it! Beds were lovely and,comfortable room was clean on arrival, staff would only enter your room if you needed anything changing or replenishing. Overall a fabulous stay and would stop again perfect location to where we needed to go and to the City Centre, a lovely family hotel.

From we went in till we left the staff were exceptional,Sharon was fantastic from making you feel really welcome at reception,also when serving breakfast was full of fun and banter.We have stayed twice before and cannot find fault.A real bonus is the shop right opposite the hotel 😁so handy and open till after 11pm. Looking for spotless rooms powerful shower great breakfast menu and fun and charm from staff,not to mention value for money and ten minutes stroll to metro station, this is the hotel for you.

Staff were probably the friendliest I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Kiran checked us in and was very helpful and informative. We had some drinks in the hotel bar on the night of arrival and we were served by Suzie who was also amazing, even putting the football on for me to watch downstairs in the lobby. The next night Sharon was on duty and she was very helpful, telling us of local bars etc and where to visit. Scott was on night shift the both nights and was very friendly and works right through the night and served us breakfast in the morning. Beds were comfortable and rooms had all we needed for a short stay. I had a room looking down onto the Main Street and never heard a thing the both nights I was there. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices available.

This was a very nice hotel. Tania the receptionist gave us a great welcome and was helpful about parking round the back. The room was comfortable (notwithstanding two flights of stairs) and had good lighting . The Osborne is in a very good part of the city, Jesmond, and is only a short walk from a whole row of restaurants and bars of all kinds. It's also within walking distance of a lovely park, Jesmond Dene. Regular buses to the city centre stop directly outside. As they are electric, they are very quiet!

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Main rooms and especially breakfast room excellent. Breakfast was excellent. We arrived early so we were able to benefit from on site parking. The location is good. Bus service into city centre very good and reliable.

Our bedroom was a very awkward shape and not conducive to a comfortable stay. There was only one chair and unfortunately you were unable to watch the tv from it. We both had to sit on one of the beds to watch the tv. There weren’t any bedside tables. The bathroom was on the small side. There was quite a lot of traffic noise as we had to have the windows open as the room was very warm.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty, and served hot to the table. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was easy to find and as I did not travel by car, there were no issues with parking.

It would have been nice to have a buffet selection for breakfast in addition to the hot food. The single room was limited, toilet was so tightly packed with the shower unit that you had to have the shower door open or you would hit your head on it whilst sitting on the loo! It seemed a bit jaded, but was functional and clean and served the purpose of a brief visit.

Excellent location close to the heart of Jesmond and walking distance from Metro and bus links. Less than 10min drive from Central Station. Beds are comfy, installations clean, coffee and tea service in each room. For £5 extra, you can get a full-English breakfast in the morning, which is an absolute banger. The staff is lovely, with Sharon and Susy being extra-helpful and friendly. I had to stay at the hotel for over a week while flat-hunting; the staff mad me feel well-received and the accommodation was comfortable and convenient. Would 100% recommend.

My first room was facing Osborne Rd, so could get a little loud. Not having an elevator is a little impractical if bringing heavy bags.
