Great place to stay. Room had pretty much everything you might need - from tea and coffee to toiletries to a dishwasher. The bed was big and comfy. The bathroom clean and well appointed. The kitchen was better equipped than any holiday home I've stayed in with pans, plates, cutlery, fridge, combi microwave, and soap, dishcloths etc. The room was clean and nicely laid out. Felt spacious and luxurious. Lifts were quick. Staff friendly and helpful. There's a small convenience shop in the hotel (perfect for a late night tub of icecream). And a big lounge area. Breakfasts were all you could eat and all you could want. On Wednesday night there was a free social - wine, beer and cheese for an hour (with no real need to socialise if you just wanted the cheese). City centre was an easy 10min walk away, or around the corner is a bus stop for a 3 min ride. The location is out with much student accommodation, and although the area is a bit scruffy in places it felt safe. Absolutely would recommend and will certainly go back myself.

Absolutely the only issue I had was the TV set up is naff. Unfortunately it's very basic freeview but with no guide avaliable so you have to flick through and hope you land on something you like. Annoying.

Very well equipped room. Excellent design, neutral decor very appealing. Very comfortable bed. Excellent, friendly responsive staff. Convenient parking.Unusual for most UK hotels, there was actually a space in the bathroom to rest bathroom items e.g comb, toothbrush but of course by law like all UK bathrooms no electric outlet except shaver socket in bathroom.

No window in bathroom, windows in room do not open so only central air to breathe. No view and location is among student housing and council flats yet close to downtown- about a mile and a half walk.Breakfast which was included in room rate was not good - scrambled eggs from powder, highly processed breads, precut fruit well past its prime, oatmeal was rolled not cut oats for soupy porridge.Pork rashers and beans were available and suitable for British tastes. Hotel pantry from which to purchase items lacked sparkling water and only wine, sugary or salty drinks and snacks for sale.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was pretty clean! It exceeded my expectations, and the inclusion of a mini kitchen was a delightful surprise. Despite not utilizing it, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything one might need. The shower experience was noteworthy, as the water temperature and pressure were consistently optimal. The AC was working well! The generously-sized bed added to the comfort of the stay. Very good location and just a few minutes away from city center. The complimentary breakfast was a fantastic bonus, and the availability of free drinks throughout the day was a remarkable touch. Overall, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of amazing.

It was very clean and fresh on arrival, the bed was so comfortable and even the pillows, the TV had normal Freeview channels, breakfast was simple but plenty to choose from and tasted great the breakfast staff made sure their was plenty of plates/cups ect available and clean they cleaned up very quickly after people aswell.. And loved that you had unlimited refills of tea/coffee/latte/expressos ect; throughout your stay in the lobby. It was only 10mins from the city witch was great. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and made you feel so at ease 10/10

I didn't like that we had no windows to open to bring fresh air in, but the air con was amazing, but even if they had small windows at the top it would be great, they didn't have a toilet brush in the bathroom which I didn't like as if u have IBS you know... I also wished they had blinds as curtains didn't block out the whole light even at 1am the lights from the street and parking area was brought in .

I arrived here at about 11:30, so pretty earlier than the check-in time. There was a nice tall lady (Natalie?) who assisted me. She invited me to wait in the lounge. After about an hour, she remembered me despite the fact that lots of people came in and told me my room was ready. When I got in I found this was stunning. Also, my request of having a quiet room as I'm a light sleeper was accommodated as I got one on the 6th floor. The breakfast was awesome. Lots of healthy choices, including berries, fresh fruits and porridge Also, on my last day, I reported a little issue to reception. Jenni was absolutely brilliant. She took the matter very seriously and was super helpful. Really went above and beyond.

Overall, it was a good stay. I believe the hotel deserves its 4 stars. The room was spacious, and the location is relatively nice. Private parking is available for £12 per night (you could leave your car till the evening on your checkout day, which is great). WiFi was ok.

The breakfast could have been better. While there were some options to choose from, the choice was limited. For example, it was possible to have a "full English" breakfast, but eggs were only available in the form of scrambled. There were two juices available and two types of pastries. (This is not an exhausive list) I think the hotel seems a bit expensive in terms of value for money.

The comfort bed. The kitchenette. Having a fridge was brilliant and reduced food wastage considerably.The bathroom and toiletries were lovely. The gorgeous variety for breakfast. The parking facilities made life so easy with luggage etc. The lawn just outside for the dogs was so convenient. Sitting on the covered terrace was very pleasant in the rain

I visited with my daughter and her dogs. I asked if the king size bed could be divided into two beds and was told that it was not possible in the pet rooms. However we did find the bed very comfortable but restrictive. There is not enough crockery or cutlery to be able to use the dishwasher so a draining board would be useful

Fantastic, comfortable suite with excellent facilities. The kitchen was better equipped than most rental apartments, with all the pans, crockery, cutlery, etc. two people could need (I mean, cheese grater, chopping board, potato peeler - SO well equipped!) including a dishwasher! The bathroom was modern, clean and also well-equipped. Bed and sofa were comfy and the TV worked well. On top of that, free coffee was available at all times in the dining area and the free breakfast choices were exceptional. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. 10/10 in all things - score reduced to 9/10 only because of the cancellation policy and car park charges.

The cancellation policy sucks - no refund at all at any time. If I had had to cancel a month before, I would have been mightily annoyed not to get any of my money back. Also, paying £12/night extra for parking felt unnecessarily ungenerous.

The suites are wonderful. Well equipped with some lovely extras such as cafetiere coffee, luxury toileteries Bed really comfortable. Home from home - an ideal base whether you're visiting Newcastle for a weekend of leisure or for daily visiting to the hospitals (just 5 minute drive to the RVI) The reception staff are amazing! Nothing is too much trouble. They go out of their way to help with anything which is invaluable if you have a loved one in hospital. Free laundry use with just 30p charge for a washing tablet (or you can bring your own) Free 24 hour tea/coffee Mini shop available 24/7 for simple snacks and drinks As much as I would like to think I would never again have to visit under such circumstances (a daughter in hospital), if I were to return to Newcastle for any reason, I would not hesitate in staying here again. I cannot recommend it more highly

Nothing - everything was perfect for me

Easy going staff, no issues. Dog friendly, there's seating space near the reception to have breakfast if you can't leave your pet in the room. However, you can just as easily take breakfast back to the room. Some people used the plastic food storage boxes from the room kitchenette. There's also social on in the hotel in the evenings, Mon-Wed there were complimentary wine, beer, soft drinks, cheese, crackers, bread etc between 6:30-7:30. Complimentary hot drinks 24/7 from the machine in the dining area.

I can't think of anything specifically, at a push, it would perhaps be the parking is a chargeable extra.
