The hotel was very convenient located in Central Pembroke so was great immediate access to the Castle. Loved the history of the hotel and its links to the Castle from Medieval times. The room was very pleasant with all the usual good facilities and the bed was very comfortable making for a good night's sleep. Booking a table in the restaurant was simple and straightforward and the food was delicious when it arrived and was reasonably priced. The breakfast was also lovely and served very well. The service at dinner and breakfast was very prompt from staff with little time waiting for food being ordered and it being served. The staff were also pleasant and friendly making you feel welcome at the hotel.

very kind and helpful employeers when you don't have a clue about the surrounding area.Comfy room and space.Interieur look very antique and fits in the historic town of Pembroke. Breakfast was good with a variety of extras. On the way to the hotel i met some very nice Townfolk that gave me some history lesson about the chapels in the area(nice Lady that live in an old victorian house) Next year i would book again in old kings arms

Very rare find a gem anything like the unique "Old Kings Arms" last minute, no research, scanning reviews or price comparisons etc etc... Lucky maybe? 1st visit to Pembroke definitely won't be the last, this hotel 1st choice of stay. Centuries old steeped in history "mod cons" to fullfill needs, inc.. fan, heater [not needed], windows you CAN open.. sash :) plenty of sockets, free WiFi, real glasses (not plastic), welsh tea (and teapot), seperate lobby for your luggage.. the bedroom is through 2 lockable doors. Free secure parking, 24hr access own keys.. no prying security guys lol. Smoking areas, lounge, bar, seperate restaurant.. excellent selection of drinks, attentive friendly staff, laidback atmosphere. Bed like sleeping on a cloud, rooms super clean, airy, bright and spacious. What stood out most for me personally.. THE FOOD!!! Just.. WOW!! Set menu evening meal enough variety to suit, not "cheap".. you get what you pay for and worth every penny. Best "Rare" Rump Steak I've had the pleasure of eating, at age 47.. a heck of a compliment! Sticky toffee pudding to die for.. impeccable service to boot, continued right through to breakfast. Freshly brewed coffee, juice, toast, full cooked option, eggs "all ways" even smoked kippers on offer.. all served at a beautifully set "clothed" table. Rate per night inc parking on site, breakfast, WiFi, chance to stay at what I'd describe as a "renovated mini castle".. Unbelievable! Forget big "chain hotel groups" get some history, you won't be dissapointed. Can't wait to stay again :)

Not a problem for me but if you struggle with stairs, give it a miss. Still worth popping in for a bite to eat though.

The dinner that I chose to have in the bar was very good (from their restaurant menu). The Kings Arms is not your average kind of town centre pub. The food here is excellent and the staff are committed in their role as professional hosts. I've stayed here many times over many years and will come again.

Really there is nothing not to like. I suppose their car park at rear of the hotel could get full at busy times of the year but there are alternative large car parks close by. Drivers need to be aware to take the first right (a very minor road) after passing the castle in the one-way road system to reach the rear of the hotel.

This was one of the best pub stays I've ever had. The room was spacious and quiet with an excellent shower. The building itself was beautiful and there were several nice areas to sit, both in and away from the bar area. I ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent. I had to leave early and was particularly pleased to see breakfast started at 0630, earlier than at most places I've stayed. Oh and the breakfast itself was of a really high quality. Added to this, the friendly welcome from all the staff I met made this a really lovely place to stay.

lovely breakfast and plenty of it. Dinner also good, preferable to book in advance. I had single room but plenty of room for one, wardrobe storage good. Large shower room with complimentary shampoo and shower products.

Parking very tight at busy times, although a space was available it was impossible to park in it because of angle of car park spaces. No room to manoeuvre. However this wasnt the case every day but it was on my mind while returning in evening.

A very good breakfast setting you right for the rest of the day. The inn itself if right outside the castle allowing you to have a pleasant stroll around said castle before a nice pint at the inn later on. Good for those travelling by motorcycle with good off street parking.

The access step to the rooms in the annex could be better for those with dodgy knees.

The hotel staff were brilliant. Arrived for a funeral, 6 of us were booked into this hotel but in the evening 6 more relatives arrived and joined us for dinner. We booked a meal at last minute but The Kings Arms layed up a room for us and the meals we all booked were fantastic. For the price this hotel excelled, we will be recommending this to all our friends. Well done to the kings arms and thank you to all the staff.

We were there for 2 days. And I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like.

Excellent breakfasts, comfortable room, superb evening meals, friendly and helpful staff.

Mistook in-room fridge (which I would like to have used) for a large safe because it had a lock on it: why are people so obsessed with locks on everything - I didn't even lock my room except when going out for the day, and it turned out nobody was going down the corridors trying to get in or to steal stuff (unsurprisingly).

I was able to park my car easily. Check in and out very efficient. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. Everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast was perfect and efficiently serviced with a good choice. I was a solo traveller and I felt safe there.

As it was hot I had the window open and a fan (kitchen?) coming on early morning woke me The carpark is quite small so a late arrival may struggle to park in hotel carpark Plenty of other options though.
