Nice hotel, staff we met while on our stay were very friendly. breakfast was ok, not very warm. Room was nice. View was beautiful.

We had a £100 parking fine through the door about a week after our stay, we put our number plate in the machine on arrival as requested and wrote it on our arrival form and still received a fine which was very distressing as I then had to contact the hotel to get them to sort it, the woman on the phone the 1st time I rang wasn't very helpful and was quite rude, i spoke to a different woman later that day and she was very helpful, the hotel did then sort the fine but had to be prompted to confirm it had been cancelled and left us worrying as it would go up if it wasn't sorted ASAP. And no apology or anything offered for the inconvenience. Very poor. Get them to confirm your parking before you leave.

Staff are great, they're welcoming and polite. Location is excellent. Clean throughout. We had a large corner room with fabulous sea views this time. Stayed here a few times now just for short breaks because the price is fair, location is perfect, right on sea front and the staff are great. Free hotel parking is fab too and just a few minutes walk into town.

This hotel mostly caters for coaching holidays so mostly older adults. The restaurant is brilliantly run with food being served without delay but as its mostly coaching holidays it makes sense for the hotel to keep the set 3 course menu to be efficient and cost effective with that many meals to serve but it's not really for us, we'd prefer something a little more tasty and to not have to pay for 3 courses when we just want a main. Rooms we've stayed in haven't been updated in years but still presentable and clean.

Lovely staff, fabulous location, great parking. Breakfast was delicious and the evening meal was very reasonably priced! Just needed to get away from life for a weekend and soak up some of that sea air. This is not my first visit to Seabank Hotel and know they wont disappoint. Had an amazing sea view from my room and they generously let me park my car there for the remainder of the day after I booked out. Everything I wanted from my weekend break and left feeling fully refreshed.

If I had to take a mark off for anything it would be the fact that even though I had an amazing sea view the room was very very warm, even though the heater was off - although I do appreciate that this is a personal preference

It was the perfect place for a couple of nights, for an old style hotel, rooms have been updated and we're in good condition aswell as the original fittings still in tacked, which was lovely to see. We were surprised to find evening entertainment as well as nightly Bingo. There was also a small lounge/ snug, where they were showing the Euro's England Game. Hotel was in a perfect location and great to watch the world go by, from the bar windows and outdoor benches. Also parking was on the premises and was included in the price.

Not alot of choice of larger in the bar. Breakfast was quite small , would have rather paid alittle more for a bigger breakfast.

I grew up with my family residing between Nottage Porthcawl and France. The Seabank has pride of place on our Esplanade, built in the Art Deco style its lends a touch of faded opulence. My former friends family used to manage the Seabank in the 1970s.At one time my dear grand-dad who had a title and knew all the late Royals was a chef there.I like the spacious lounges+the wooden staircase with paintings. Also a special mirror underneath a canopy ceiling.I shall move back to Porthcawl.

I noticed the lobby entrance has been altered. The design team should of kept the old ambiance instead of a makeshift stark lobby too modern for the building. It wouldn*t cost much to reinstall a finer wood reception desk and a better French door, instead of white they may choose cream. It would be nice if an ornate antique round table with fresh flowers be somewhere for good luck the same as in the Georges Cinq Hotel in Paris where i was lucky enough to stay with my family and beautiful titled mummy Patricia Ann who was directly related to French and British Prince Philip. It is important old style ambiances are retained as they lend the grace and charm so missing in the modern world.Lovely old Sea bank+former lovely old Esplanade stay as you are in our memories.x Lavina Morticia.x

We like the location and the size of our room. We were in room 112. Great view. Comfortable bed although not quite big enough for us. Helpful staff Relaxed feel We would come back for that room. The photo is of the view from our window

We had a lovely time but since you ask, The size of our double bed seemed small. . We are used to a 6' in other hotels. The quality of painting and decorating on floor 1 landing was very poor. The TV was too low, although it looked like they were in the process of fitting a TV shelf so it might be ok soon. We were lucky to have hot weather so it would have been nice to be able to open more than one window. All sealed shut.

What can I say....the sea view from our room was stunning! We definitely were not expecting that. We booked a small double but the room was far from small. it was HUGE! Lovely comfy sofa to sit to watch the sea. The bathroom was great with a fantastic shower. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Would highly recommend.

Only thing I can think of is the WIFI was very sketchy but what do you expect staying by the sea! We had a lovely experience. 10 out of 10 in our opinion!

The location was superb. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking facilties were excellent. Downstairs was good, and as you went to the third floor it was all clean and tidy, but a bit tired looking. Our room was on the third floor which wasn't a problem, but for example, the interior of the lift had llots of tatty notices stuck on with sellotape. It would make such a difference if notices were presented better. In our room, some of the fixtures were a bit past their best, for example the bathroom door was very clunky and has been altered but not finished very well, with bare wood patches filling previous holes in the door frame. The light fitting above the bed was badly torn and presented an uncared for look. The curtains had definitely seen better days and the ceiling needed some attention. None of these things spoiled our stay, but if I was looking after this hotel, I would tend to these things as they look a bit tatty. The shower needed some bleach applied to the black mould which was attached to the plastic around the base, inside and outside. We enjoyed our stay and found the restaurant very convenient. Porthcawl is a lovely place.

Attention to detail would add to the experience, as listed above.

Location ideal as was the breakfast and evening meal. However, the overriding plus is the quality of the staff on the reception desk . On arrival on 20 September 2024 at 3 pm , the lady on duty could not have been more helpful . I think she was either the Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and give us all the information we needed. Ten out of ten !!

Lovely staff, who were very polite and caring. Room was better than expected for the price we paid. Amazing location, we had a sea view, the breakfast was great and served by polite staff and in super quick time considering they had a couple of coach parties in as well - faultless!

Staff - Amazing Accommodation - value for money and very clean, reception newly refurbished immaculate Location - right on the sea front, couldnt wish for better considering we just wanted to stay in a seaside town There was even entertainment in the evening which we didnt expect for the price we paid
