The breakfast was very good and the waitress asked the chef to cook veggi sausages for me. She also brought vegan butter and although I’m not vegan I thought it was very thoughtful. The room was lovely, large and very comfortable.

When I arrived I couldn’t find anyone to check in. I eventually found the receptionist sorting out a query for someone in the evening bar which was a couple of rooms away. It wasn’t her fault in any way and she was most apologetic but maybe there needs to be a member of staff available on the reception desk at all times. Also, a mirror on a stand in the bathroom window recess would be useful to put on makeup in daylight as the bathroom was quite dark!

The staff were super lovely, helpful and really wanted to help with every detail. We arrived late after a 10 hour cycle ride. It was quiet and we had a peaceful peaceful.night's sleep. The surrounding countryside inland is stunning for cyclists. And the cycle path alongside the canal is stunning. It's also lovely to see so many local people coming for coffee / coffee/ meetings in the morning. Lovely having the bath too.

No complaints at all. It was great value for money especially with the lovely welcome.

A good breakfast was included in the price and represented excellent value for money. The room was quite spacious and very nice that the en-suite included a bath. Staff very helpful when asked about local amenities. Central location very convenient for shops, pubs and restaurants.

Our stay was at the weekend and, although not a problem for us, there was live music at a couple of locations close to the hotel. But as this was of quite a decent standard and didn't continue too late could also be considered a plus point!

Staff at the castell were very friendly and helpful. Bed was unusually comfortable for a hotel bed. For the price the room was a good size. Located for a centre stay is perfect.

The room could have had more attention when previously cleaned as there had been a number of things missed and the cleaning products had been left in a mop bucket in the bathroom. The bathroom it self was a large size but poorly finished hole at back of the toilet and miss matched grouting throughout

The room was bigger than I expected and the bed very comfortable. There were a bath and a shower and i love the shower as it was very powerful with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included in the price and was very good with plenty of choice. The restaurant had good prices for meals and the staff was friendly and helpful.

My room faced the main street so it was a bit noisy now and again but nothing too bad to affect my sleep.

Location superb in town center. Cleanliness of hotel exceptional. Pub annex to hotel wonderful with a terrace ! Staff friendly. And value is unbelievable. Price of room fabulous. I really had no expectations at all coming in.Was in Neath to visit with an old friend. Hotel far exceeded my expectations.

We arrived for the arctic monkeys at Swansea stadium, having travelled 4.5 hours from Liverpool. Upon arrival, we were promptly checked in by a very friendly receptionist; who gave us information on local transport. Shower was superb, and kitted out with some lovely travel shampoos and fresh towels. We needed an iron, and within 10 minutes of the call to reception - they arrived with the iron. Superb

On checking in we went to our room to find the toilet broken & not flushing- lady on reception swapped rooms immediately. This room was lovely & comfortable, quiet & very clean. Breakfast had good choices & a buffet style so could have what you wanted. Staff were all very welcoming, friendly & helpful. Lovely decor throughout, will definitely be back 👍

Literally couldn’t find fault with anything

Very kind and welcoming receptionist. Room was quiet and clean. Shower was good. Water temp easy to adjust. Well situated and sensible pricing.

Room was very clean, but had I think been last checked quickly. The hotel’s large tea pack was left in my room and the tv remote was missing. I would have liked to have had a hairdryer. Electrical sockets not in the most useful places.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, doing whatever they could to make us happy. Central location of the hotel is its blessing and a curse. Surrounded by clubs and restaurants, it provides an easy access to entertainment if you are seeking nightlife. However, consider the possibility of noisy neighbourhood if you like peace and quiet. Good, traditional breakfast and comfy, hard mattress made my stay in the hotel enjoyable.

Even though the rooms are clean, they would benefit from refurbishment. Well, you get what you pay for, so it's unfair to complain about the standard, I guess.
