The property is in an amazing location. You could be in a foreign country looking out of your balcony window. Comfortable beds and really good quality kitchen. Peaceful. Free hire of kayaks, rowing boat and paddle boards which I didn’t know about until we got there, also cupboard spaces for each cabin underneath the apartments! Ample Parking for two cars with designated spaces. Any kitchen utensil you might need is there. We had the end property no 9 and one of the bedrooms has a sea view which was amazing.

The curtain rail was hanging off the wall. Hopefully someone will fix it before the next people come in as I was worried about closing the curtains when it was too sunny! No other way of getting into property then up and down stairs. Not enough food cupboard space, quite a lot of stored glasses and mugs for a two bedroom apartment!

Loved the apartment. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped with a great view.

A minor point but would be nice to have some form of low lighting in the lounge for evening.

We stayed in this apartment for two nights. The apartment was easily accessible and we loved the parking spot for our car. The views from our living room was superb and you just want to sit there all the time watching the little harbor (although the living room gets quite hot in summer). Everything was clean. The bedroom was a bit small (the bed slept extremely nice though!), but manageable. This is a typical holiday flat with just the basics, but good value for money and well maintained. Gladly recommend it for anyone interested to stay here. You will adore the view.

The apartments are quite new as shown in the pics, and very clean well presented and secure. We especially appreciated the balcony as we visited on a very hot weekend. The views from the apartment are over the harbour and are charming.

Castletown is beginning regenerated following the exit of the MOD from the port - it is a mixture of some derelict properties, some brilliant historic buildings including the English Heritage run castle and some new developments. Don't expect super charming Dorset fishing village, but it is really interesting and worth exploring.

It's a modern, spacious apartment, the facilities are of a high standard, and it's very well organised: the instructions & information for guests were very thorough. Parking was easy (there were two allocated spaces for the apartment) and there's a balcony, too.

Cleanliness was generally very good...so I was surprised to see black mould on the bathroom ceiling (I think because the extractor fan wasn't working properly). I tried to report this but I couldn't find anyone to speak to.

Stayed here before and had a great time; we were so glad to be able to return as they are usually booked up. It’s perfectly located for us, who come for sailing events and sports training. Love the balcony with the view and the sunsets. The practicality of everything. Love to be able to swim in the sea from the pontoon ever morning.

Needed a bit of care and better cleaning, in comparison to when we stayed before the pandemic.

Location in terms of being on the water. Nice and modern and spacious.

One sink had plug stuck down, one shower seemed stuck on very hot. It’s also very noisy as neighbours are close when on the balcony, and it’s noisy with people going to the tourist office underneath. It was very hot and stuffy. Could do with bet curtains in the bedroom so that you can sleep with curtains and door open in hot weather.

Was already prepared for the boat yard location because of previous reviews, but actually found it more intriguing than disruptive. Fascinating to see a couple of big ships come in further up for repair or whatever and then leave. Property was very clean and well-equipped. Nice balcony over-looking the bay. Excellent Wi-Fi and parking. Added bonuses were the little Weymouth ferry pick up point right at the property and the brilliant beach close by for launching paddleboards or swimming etc. Portland in my opinion is not really beautiful but it's interesting and atmospheric, and very convenient for Weymouth and the surrounding tourist spots. Would definitely stay again.

It was all fine.

View from the balcony, friendly staff, great sunsets. Lots going on in the harbour from paddle borders to snorkelers . Ferry service from doorstep to Weymouth harbour,(about an hour but worth it as it doubles as a harbour tour, we were lucky enough to see dolphins and the skipper detoured to take us close to them!) Some good attractions in easy walking distance, we loved the D Day centre which was only about 50 metres away. Also the Cove Inn, Portland castle and the Boat that Rocks are all an easy stroll away.

The location might disappoint some people as there’s not much in the way of a beach, apart from Chesil beach, and the area is not exactly upmarket. The apartments are next to a working boatyard and there are occasional helicopters landing nearby, we found that added to the interest, but some might not. However we felt none of this detracted from our stay.

The accommodation was very clean and well decorated, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well kitted out for cooking in the apartment. The on suite bathroom in each of the bedrooms are ideal for couples by not having to share these facilities with others. The showers were lovely and powerful and one bedroom had a bath, which was good for those that prefer baths. The views were spectacular and well worth the visit, we would definitely return in the future.

Helicopters came and went regularly a couple of times a day, which can be a little noisy at times, but we enjoyed the spectacle of it and it didn’t affect the enjoyment of our stay one bit.
