The hosts were incredible, they were super friendly and welcoming and the breakfast we got was delicious and filling :) The room was small but comfortable, I really liked the bed, the bathroom was definetly big enough for us. The dining room was full of lovely people, we had breakfast together and everything felt really peaceful and comfortable. We also appreciated that the location was so close to the sea and some supermarkets. All in all it was wonderful, big thanks to our hosts.

Only two things come to mind, the first one being thag we always had to leave the bathroom door as well as the window in our room open after taking a shower because it would get really humid otherwise. Second thing, there were 4 spiders in our room (not a big fan ourselves, haha), we just coexisted with them but it is something one could check once in a while and maxbe remove them. To be fair, we did not tell our hosts, I am sure they would have helped us if we did, so they did not do enything wrong. We had a terrific time and would book again if we ever wanted to travel Portsmouth again.

Daily breakfast was exceptional. Location was walking distance to everything. Clean room! Gary made our stay (part of our honeymoon in the UK) a very memorable experience! He was extremely funny, friendly, and very approachable. We could have chatted with you all day!! Kudos on a job well done!

Stairs and no air conditioning but it is a Victorian house so that it expected. Bedding could have been better (duvet was a little heavy and scratchy) and maybe some toiletries (shampoo, etc.). A fan would have been nice as it was HOT weather when we arrived. OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!

The Waverley Park B&B. It did not match our expectations it EXCEEDED them, we thought at first the cost was to low and said to each other we'll its only for a week-end we'll go for it. From the off it looked form the outside a very well maintained property, good 1st impression straight away, inside very clean, the room was again clean and tidy with plenty of fresh Tea and Coffee. We would also like to say that the member of staff that dealt with breakfast etc. could not be more helpful and was a credit to the Waverley. We would recommend the B&B Clean and very good value for money

We are finding it hard to come up with something and its nothing to do with the Waverley B&B the parking ticket for parking between 4-30 and 6-30 bit of a fag

Great value for the family room. Attention paid on the important things - renovated and sparkling clean shower, clean sheets and towels. Great breakfast in a lovely dining room. Great for our overnight stay while we explored Portsmouth. Really close to a great strip of restaurants - the Turkish place around the corner was fantastic.

Nitpicking, but all the pillows were really thick firm and wasn't anyone onsite in the evening to ask for a thinner one. Made for an uncomfortable night sleep. Bunk bet needed some screws tightening.

The host was very friendly. He gave us recommendations for restaurants nearby. We loved the location because it was a 10 minute walk to the coast. It was in a very quiet neighborhood. It was so nice to have enough beds to sleep our whole family. No one had to sleep on a sofa bed. The house was very quiet and clean. We had to leave early in the morning to catch a ferry leaving from Portsmouth and the location was ideal for this because it was a 10 minute uber drive from the port for Brittany ferries. I highly recommend this place!

Location is excellent. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and the breakfast service was very good. The choice was also very good.

We were kept waiting to check in when we arrived as there was no-one at the property. The member of staff that was on the way was delayed by terrible traffic in the local area. There was a bit of confusion over which room we were going to stay in. It was on the third attempt that we were given a room that had been made up. To be fair to the owner of the property he did contact us by phone and apologised and also refunded the parking permit costs as a gesture of good will which we were grateful for. The shower head in our room could do with descaling as Portsmouth is a very hard water area and shower heads do need a regular descale to keep the flow rate up.

Garry is a fantastic host and owner and nothing was too much trouble for him. He runs a brilliantly located accommodation and everything was really top notch. How others can steal remote controls and other things is a joke so we had to manually turn our TV on and off but that wasn't a problem as didn't spend a lot of time in our room, however Garry has said that room will be closing in October for refurbishment (not that it needs any) and the TV will be replaced with a new remote control. Please don't disrespect his hospitality and steal things but if you take it error contact Garry and send items back for future guests like us honest people! We will be back in the summer to visit relatives and also a spot of sightseeing as we didn't get chance this time due to our circumstances. See you again soon

Get a little bin for us chimney smokers for outside to throw butts in rather than the road... Could be placed out of sight behind the front wall! Also maybe an iron would have been useful but not desperate or we would have asked!

Well located bed and breakfast lodge to spend time in Portsmouth. Very close to Southsea seafront and tucked away from the busy roads. Room was a good size with private clean bathroom. Room also had a kettle, teas and coffees which was a lovely add on for our stay. Breakfast was really good, with a choice between a full English or eggs - all prepared by the lovely staff. Staff was amazing and super accommodating, greeted us on check in and explained everything. Definitely recommend as a stay for a young couple or families visiting Portsmouth.

We stayed during quite a warm weekend and it would have been nice to have a lighter bed linen to keep cooler during the night or a fan in the room would have served the same purpose. In the end, this really is nit-picking as this would not have been an issue on most other weekends.

Gary was an exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble. I asked for information he gave me what he knew and the following day gave me more from what he had found out after. The house was very clean & tastefully decorated. My room had everything needed and was topped up daily. The breakfast smelt gorgeous but unfortunately I can't eat until after 10am by which time I was at work 😌. Very well situated for local transport, between beach and a high street with almost every choice of food and budget. Very good place to stay.

I had to leave at the end of my training 😂😂 Not able to try the breakfast. 😌

The location was perfect for what we needed. The people we dealt with were so nice, friendly and helpful. We had my baby granddaughter with us and they catered for her needs too. We had a lovely full english breakfast, included in the price, which was lovely.

There was only street parking, and the streets were packed, but luckily I managed to get a space very close. Could have been a problem if the space had not become vacant.
