Lovely room, Comfy bed, Lovely decorated room. Plenty of plugs Lovely breakfast Friendly staff, especially reception and bar staff. Out door seating area Plenty of road parking. Would stay again.

Just a few things which when i booked i need at this stay and a bit disappointed that they weren't there or broken. One of the blinds didn't go up on the window, ironing board cover was broken off the ironing board, no wine glasses in the room, which it said they had them in the room. Floor was a bit dusty in places by the legs of furniture Would of been nice to have a welcome pack in room, with WiFi code, bar opening times, breakfast times, etc

Situated in a quiet location but close to both beaches and several visitor attractions the hotel has an interesting history. The staff were very helpful and presented a good welcome in all respects.

Although beyond their control, parking was quite difficult, especially when arriving late in the evening. The bedroom was clean and well prepared but but, as a result of warm and fairly humid conditions, sleep was difficult. A lighter duvet or flat sheet option may have helped.

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were really great. Good range of choices with both meals. There didn't seem to be that many staff on duty but they clearly worked hard and provided excellent service considering how many people were in the bar and restaurant

Only a minor gripe but the bar was too busy to find a seat though its good to see somewhere with plenty of custom these days. Wasn't a big deal as we were able to sit in the restaurant instead and were served drinks there

The reception staff and food were lovely. Breakfast waitresses were miserable. Beautiful hotel

The room was incredibly hot. The rooms could do with a table top fan or Air con. We slept on top the bed all night and I think had we not had been drinking the night away at our party we would of had difficulty sleeping. Also there was a dressing table and no mirror. Luckily my hair straighteners are cordless as I had to use the bathroom mirror to do my hair, the only mirror available

I liked the friendly atmosphere. All the Staff were smiling and seemed happy working there it makes all the difference. They were all very helpful. The evening meal and breakfast was delicious. I used tge Hotel for one night prior to my cruise to Doain and Portugal which I boarded at Portsmouth on the 10th December 22.

The single room had a great view and the facilities were Adequate for a one night stay for single person. However as it was -7 during that night, it was a little cool in the room. Perhaps they didn't perceive such a drop in temperature.

Extremely friendly staff. Very comfortable beds and spacious room. Bathroom had a bath which was a real bonus for us as we were travelling with two small children. Lots of storage in the room for popping away all of pur belongings. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. Lots of choice too. Staff were great with the children and everyone was thought of. Excellent location too, plenty of parking and just a short walk to the beach with the children loved!

A friendly welcome by staff, especially towards my grandson, aged seven. A beautiful location, opposite the park with its rare species of plants and good trees for climbing, and within a very short walk from the beach (Stokes Bay). The breakfast was delicious. Details, such as the tasty granary toasted bread, fresh fruit on offer at breakfast, as well as the cooked breakfast prepared to order, were much appreciated.

Nice hotel, in good location, free on street parking if your lucky enough to get close by. Room was a bit shoddy in places (marks on the wall etc) but perfectly adequate and I had all I needed. I actually enjoyed walking down the big spiral staircase, from third floor you can get up quite a momentum! Good breakfast

I booked this accommodation months before arrival and by the time it came around I was a man down! unfortunately I was unable to get a reduction in cost as prices has since increased and I had it at special rate. Had I booked for single occupancy at the time I know I would have paid less. I accept that nothing could be done by this point, but it does mean that it is rather unfair for a lone traveler. Upshot is, it is good value for money if two of you are sharing but really expensive for one! I would stay again if I had company to share the cost.

The customer service was above and beyond. As we were working we were leaving too early for the breakfast hours so they made us up a little bag of breakfast for the morning. The only staff member we really interacted with was the young lady on reception but she was super helpful and friendly. Bed was comfy and the room was clean enough (although hadnt been hoovered, at least down the side of the bed as there were bits on the floor - but everything else was clean and fresh).

Not the hotel's fault but parking was a bit rubbish (but we knew that the hotel didn't have parking so it was a risk we took) - other than that, all good.

Great room, exceptionally attentive and helpful staff, comfy bed. Bathroom with whirlpool bath and shower. Walking distance to Stokes Bay. Breakfast good. Room service same price as eating in restaurant! Booked B&B but ended up having a few meals at the hotel. Good sized portions, tasty food, prompt delivery. Chips were really good! Hotel has a lift!

Hotel does not have own parking but plenty of free parking in roads nearby. Ended up parking quite a way away though which is difficult managing luggage and a small child. Could do with a drop off bay in front of hotel. Similarly, entrance has steps up, so difficult with pram. Would be impossible for someone in wheelchair. On arrival, room lock did not work. Staff immediately attended to work out problem but decided not safe so moved us promptly to a new room. Stayed during particularly hot weekend. Fan helpful but could do with air con. These observations are very picky as overall we were quite impressed with the hotel, staff, food, and location, and will definitely stay there again!
