My booking was for a single room, with a TV that was not mounted too high on the wall, so I was given a room on the first floor, which had an older flat screen tv on a bracket(not connected at all, but sadly not removed from the room) and a large Freeview Tv on the desk on its feet, which gave full channels including Dave and Quest. The hotel provides fresh towels and top's up the coffee, tea and little pots of milk daily, plus there is a kettle in the room. Breakfast is now been served, on the ground floor, in the dining room, which doubles as the Indian Restaurant in the evening.

The room was quite compact, and had a traditional window which opened for ventilation and cooling (and a fan which was essential, in the hot 2022 summer), but some rooms in the hotel have air conditioning. The shower in the en-suite shower room, seemed to date from the 1970's and the control was difficult to turn, see photo. There is no lift in the hotel! At Breakfast, some guests in some rooms commented that the TVs in their room had reception issues and some channels were missing.

The properties location was great for city centre and Reading Festival (a 5 minute walk to the festival buses). The room was clean and well presented. The bed was comfy, having AC was a fantastic bonus and the bathroom was huge. The car parking facilities were great, although somewhat expensive. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they could not do enough for you!

We had to change rooms as ours was not turned over nearly two hours after check in time, this was resolved really quickly though! Our second room although great, did have quite a sizeable hole in the bathroom floor that was quite dangerous, we had to cover it to avoid getting a foot stuck, but we’d read past reviews and expected this. The bath drain was also clogged, but we didn’t report this, just something that could be done after we’re gone. The last thing, we were staying directly above reception and the music they play from early and throughout the day is just a touch too loud.

The room was a decent size though rather oddly shaped. The bed as stated is a queen so some will find small. The bathroom was huge. And had a bath with a shower.the water pressure was amazing. Not all rooms have ac so if this is important make sure you ask for aroom that hass it. The breakfast was fine. Croissants and choices of bread. Coffee from a macine and fruit juice.

Windy corridors and no lift would have made it very difficult iifwe had had more luggage.

Great location. Useful daily cleaning room service with fresh towels. Pretty quiet at night.

Execrable pre-paid breakfast. Booked the room with what they call breakfast included, and received every single day for my 4 day stay, cereals, yoghurt and muffin (all valued at 1-2 pounds). Nothing else. Not even a bottle of water. Miserable. I used the early morning breakfast tavern next to Starbucks, 2 minutes walk from hotel. If it wasn’t for location I would not recommend. If you don’t mind walking 2-3 minutes additional, book another hotel. It smells of food all over due to the poor ventilation from the kitchen below. I would have liked my money back for the breakfast joke, but there is no hotel manager around.

The location is very central, very good, excellent bed, satisfactory cleanliness, welcoming staff.

I didn't like that the breakfast was takeaway, even though all the covid restrictions were removed a long time ago. Then I didn't like the smell in the room, a strong and strange smell of spices, it smelled like a kitchen. A hair dryer would be needed.

The location is ideal, everything is at a walking distance. Bus station is just outside the hotel and train station 5 minutes walking. There are various types of restaurants, any kind of food around the hotel. The staff is doing its best to keep you satisfied. They are all so kind and willing to help.

The quality of breakfast needs improvement, the client should be asked in advance about his tastes. A fruit must be added. The rooms need rennovation, new floors and surely the heaters need to be changed, they are so old and dirty, there were pigeon feathers inside.

Location is great and there is Indian restaurant just below the hotel. coffee machine is great and my kid had fun going and getting his own hot chocolate by himself.

Break fast, could have been better . Almost same every day . Could have let the guest select their own breakfast from the given set of items worth 10 pounds. Could have included Gregg's sandwich in the selection.

Friendly and helpful staff - provided me with a bigger room which was pretty and cosy. The hotel has character and nice theme with some beautiful decor. Excellent location.

Expected more choice at breakfast. Vegan options, cooked food. No plant based milk in the room. Couple old little stains on the duvet cover - like burns or something like that.

They were easy to find, and both effective and efficient in their help. They are in a very central and good location as well. They are actively working with Covid precautions and provide a solid breakfast package which can be taken to the room.

The only thing I noticed is that the room could have been aired out but this was only a minor thing that was quickly resolved by opening the windows.

It was a great stay! Nissrine, I really appreciated for her huge help to us. We missed the breakfast time because nobody informed us but when we told them that we missed, whole hotel team and their super kind manager Nissrine helped us to get breakfast. Room was extremely clean, price was excellent, short walk away from the centre!
