For me & my family the location was ideal. The Brentwood Hotel was extremely clean in all areas. We used the bar & restaurant quite a lot which was very nice. I had 1 bad meal while we were there & the member of staff offered to give me something else straight away. All the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The rooms were very comfortable.

The restaurant/bar area was quite cold at times which made us uncomfortable especially when eating hot meals. However the main hotel where the bar restaurant is, is almost 200 years old with many of it's old features still there. Also if you like to watch TV many of the channels are unavailable.

I recently stayed at The Brentwood Inn Hotel in Rotherham and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel had a charming and welcoming atmosphere, and I especially appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff were throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a perfect base for both relaxing and exploring the area. The hotel is located in a quiet, residential area, which provided a peaceful night's sleep, yet it's still conveniently close to local attractions and Rotherham town centre. The on-site restaurant was another highlight, serving delicious food with a great variety of options for breakfast and dinner. The bar area had a cozy vibe, perfect for winding down in the evening. Overall, The Brentwood Inn offered excellent value for money, combining comfort, good service, and a great location. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rotherham.

While my stay at The Brentwood Inn Hotel was mostly positive, there were a few minor areas for improvement. The Wi-Fi connection in my room was somewhat inconsistent, which made it difficult to work or stream without interruptions. Additionally, although the room was clean and comfortable, the decor felt a little dated and could benefit from a modern refresh. However, I must note that parking was ample, which was a big plus and made arriving and departing hassle-free. Despite the small issue with the Wi-Fi, these factors didn't significantly affect an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Room was a good size. Very clean .kettle. large t.v. good powerful shower plenty of hot water. Slept well comfortable bed..easy free parking. Quite considering was on main road but hotel was set back. Attached to the hotel was the bar serving food ect...food was good resealable priced..staff in bar and food area was great very friendly and helpful with directions into town ect ..jo..the lady on the reception was very friendly and such a happy person very helpful. Over all a very nice experience..will be visiting again

Nothing really to dislike

The rooms were clean, tastefully decorated & well set up with what you’d need ….. but most of all the beds were amazingly comfortable!! 😴 We were staying whilst visiting family & the hotel is situated in one of the nicer, leafier areas of Rotherham & was quiet. It’s also close enough to the town centre for cheap taxi rides after a night out! 🥂 The facilities/housekeeping staff & night-porter were lovely, friendly & very helpful. I would definitely stay again & would recommended to family & friends.

Initially more tea/coffee etc in our room would have been good, but the housekeeping staff sorted that the following morning. The only thing that let the room down was a broken closure on the bathroom door, so it couldn’t be shut, an old rusted roller blind that didn’t work in the bathroom & the bedroom windows were old & had condensate in them, making the hard to see through.

We stayed for the Magna Science Museum Ale Festival which only cost £4 in an Uber from the hotel. The room was warm on arrival, spacious & everything was clean. The shower was powerful and hot! The property in my opinion should have 3 stars not 2 as it does on booking.com. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Breakfast ends at 9am and the pub reopens at 11.30 so consider this if like us, you were considering having a late breakfast. We went to The Yard 10 minutes down the road which was fantastic - they serve breakfast till 12. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived; after thinking we were going to be staying above the pub, the hotel rooms have their own separate reception and building next to the pub! All in all this was a great stay & great value for money.

I’ve worked on reception in a couple of hotels; I would say the staff could be a little more cheery & ask how your stay was upon checkout. We weren’t informed the window cleaners would be doing their job at 9.30 so that was a bit of a shock! I’d say either book them in after check out time or inform your customers. Additionally the window lock in room 22 is broken and I’d suggest putting some WD40 on bedroom doors as they’re all squeaking and waking people up (quick & cheap fix)

The welcome we received on check in was friendly and professional. The room was clean and tidy with tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was comfortable with nice clean linen and towels provided. The pub / restaurant was very bust foe a Friday night but we manage to get a table, the price of both drinks and food were extremely reasonable. The menu choice was extensive and the quality of food was excellent. We will definitely return to the Brentwood Inn in the future.

The bathroom was a little dated and could really do with new sealant around the bath edges has this had signs of mould and some of the fittings were rusty. There was a lock missing on one of the ground floor windows which left it insecure.

We love the old part of the building. Some really gorgeous original features - the door handle in the breakfast room is unbelievable …. you have to see it to appreciate it! great that the pub/ restaurant is down stairs. great evening meal and the breakfast is great. really friendly and helpful staff. it’s a great place to stop over whilst visiting family with a large car park

our room was up some VERY steep stairs which was fine for us but might be an issue for others. the floors were unbelievably creaky all through the room and bathroom . I know it’s an old building but it was almost comical ! apart fro those quirks it’s great!

Room was very comfortable, very comfy bed and huge TV! My room also had an accessible bathroom which was massive. Staff are absolutely lovely, and the location is fantastic too for where I needed to be. Overall a nice stay for the weekend

- Bathroom floor(s) VERY slippy! There are signs everywhere warning you but I did still fall. Please be very careful - Other guests aren't very considerate of the fire alarm warnings regarding shower moisture. Alarm went off multiple times, late at night and early morning

The breakfast was good and also the evening meal in the pub.

We should have reported it at the time but the sink in the bathroom had a big crack in it. The bathroom door didn't close properly as the mechanism on the handle that keeps the door closed was missing. The room didn't smell very fresh when we first entered the room and the window was very difficult to open. In order to keep the window open a few inches so as to get some air into the room it took one of us to hold it open whilst the other placed the folded bath mat under the window to keep it open a few inches. There was a shaving light over the mirror in the bathroom that doesn't work. For what we paid it was good value, just the bathroom that's in need of some TLC.

Large and clean room that included a fan for the very hot weather, good wifi that's free, great parking space, good location, exceptionally friendly staff. Very pretty hotel with lovely decor and furniture. The room that I had was on the top floor and although it was a bit of a trek it was well worth it for the room and view.

Bed was a little uncomfortable and the heating was on full blast when we went in but it was easily fixed by turning down the radiators. There was no bin which was a little difficult. The room had no hairdryer but we went to ask for one at the reception and were given one so not really a negative overall!
