booked a family room for myself and teenage son. I booked this 30 minutes before I arrived. We were on the ground floor as I requested. It is not often you place a booking and arrive 30 minutes later and all of your special requests are met! Room had a double bed and a single which was ideal for our needs. It also had a drawer unit to hide the clutter, a full size wardrobe, a flat screen tv, and a desk for me to work at, a separate table to eat at and chairs. Lots of tea and coffee in the room on our arrival. Oh and a safe! This suited our needs perfectly as I was in zoom meetings whilst away. The bathroom had a bath and an overhead shower which was great and the water temperature did not disappoint. The thermostatic shower provided piping hot water day and night. Pristine white good quality towels and toiletries were also provided. The reception was spotlessly clean and spacious and very welcoming with a grand piano as a centrepiece. Nice comfortable sofas and chairs provided a relaxing space away from the room. There is also a front conservatory area equipped with dining tables and chairs. Beautiful tiled floors. The hallways and rooms were carpeted and they were spotless too. The wifi worked exceptionally well ALL OVER the hotel and right to the edge of the car park, having been places where you need to hover in reception for wifi then this was great. The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and cheery at all times and were polite and courteous even when my son was alone. To be fair we were made aware it was new owners and that hotel had been closed since covid to I am delighted the new owners have rescued it! I cannot fault our stay for the money we paid and I would definitely stay here again! I wish good luck to the new owners on their future improvements and look forward to our next visit. Finally there is a tesco express about 250 yards away with a costa express inside it if like me you enjoy a wander of an evening.

I was a little apprehensive because of previous reviews so I actually rang the hotel the week before to ask if they were still open, the guy said yes they were and are looking forward to greeting us, on arrival I parked up and saw there was a load of curtains closed and a door boarded up, therefore feared the worded, walked in to reception which was beautiful, greeted by a young receptionist and given our key card to the room, room was amazing, spotless, lovely clean bedding and towels, could not wish for anything better.

The room was really clean and good. also, the staff was very friendly and they immediately worked on all our requests. Also, they guided us whenever we had any query pertaining to the places to see and restaurants, convenience stores, etc. I would like to give a special shout-out to Kartar and Deep for their 24X7 assistance. Will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Rotherham. Thanks!

Good central location. Very helpful reception. On site parking spaces were plentiful and free. Clean, aired, newly carpeted corridors. Room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and very clean. The en-suite sparkled. Overall, very good value for money and a hotel that I'll be using again. Plenty of places to dine within a short distance.

Some of the exterior of the building needs attention, but it was not off putting.

Lovely large spacious Room, very clean with nice quality bedding and pillows nice big TV on wall lots of wardrobe space and desk for case unpacking lots of tea coffee milk and biscuits. Bathroom nice and spotless clean with soaps shower gel etc nice fluffy clean towels too.

No Bar as just getting back up and running but isn’t really a problem as Brentwood next door is a 2 minute walk

The Location is great central for all my business needs and contacts. Not stayed here before but I am glad I did the staff at check in were friendly and polite nothing too much trouble the room was a good size bed very comfortable (room 120) Internet very good no issues with it. Great value for money if in the area again I will be staying here again.

Interior of the building a vast improvement to the outside. Our room was spotlessly clean & the bed huge & comfy. Bathroom fine with loads of hot water. The chap on the Reception Desk desk was welcoming & helpful. Pity the bar area wasn't opened up as would have been good to have food & drinks before going out.

Missed having drinking glasses in the room.

Staff was friendly the room was nice and cozy. Needed more tea milk and sugar and staff brought it to my room. The bed was so comfortable. Can't wait to come back when the pool is sorted and they start to serve food. The entrance is amazing and luxurious.

Wasn't able to turn the shower temperature down

The staff was very helpful accommodating my queries or if I wanted fresh towels and bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean I stayed an extra night than planned.

there wasn’t a restaurant to be able to eat or have a drink, however Tesco express is a quick walk.

Nice friendly staff, big comfy beds, clean room, big TV, loads of free parking and great location for road network overall excellent value for money.

Shower was a bit dated (bathtub/shower) my personal preference is walk in shower but this is the only negative I can think of 🤣.
