Such a warm welcome, nothing too much trouble with option to eat - food looks delicious so I think a must on my next stay! Nicely furnished single room which met all my needs, including a desk/dressing table to work at. Excellent choice of breakfast.

My only suggestion that would make my own particular stay better would have been to have a little more light in the room for working. However, as I was offered to work in sitting area downstairs, this would solve this minor problem.

Holly & Jackie were so welcoming to me and my dog! They were friendly and more than happy to give ideas on what to do for the day. Breakfast was lovely - whilst you could get a full breakfast, they also offered other great options (e.g eggs benedict) and everything tasted great and well presented. Whilst it was busy and it wasn't too noisy. The locals were also welcoming and friendly - it was lovely to see them support their local village hotel. I felt like a local by the end of my stay.

They were all very kind, so I cannot think of anything to offer in terms of helpful suggestions.

A very friendly atmosphere in this small but well-ordered hotel in the rural countryside of Wales and conveniently situated for the Ferry Ports for crossings to Ireland. Excellent hospitality from the hosts.

The bathroom in the room that I was in was small and tightly-packed but I could manage perfectly well. A very large person would find it difficult. Nonetheless, an excellent faculty has been added to the original design of the room without compromising the elegance of the room.

This was a last minute booking for us and a great find. I loved the history of the house and the quirky tasteful decor. I had a small double room but it was enough for one evening. Genuinely dog friendly accommodation which is always welcome as you can relax. Good remote location , lots of parking , close enough to road network. The dark haired lady who was front of house on arrival was fabulous so worth a note. Organised an early check in for us as the dogs needed shade in the heat, and was super informative, friendly and helpful. I travel a lot and I think staff really can make a huge difference to the stay. This lady is an asset to the hotel. Menus for restaurant ( evening meal) and breakfast were fabulous and food lovely 👍 Lovely local friendly community who made me feel welcome.

This is not a criticism but more of a personal preference. The room we were allocated was right above the outdoor bar / restaurant. The noise of the dance music and groups of people drinking directly below us did not cease until after midnight. It was too hot to close the window so this wasn’t ideal as I had an early start. I think had I known in advance I would have requested / booked one of the rooms at the back of the hotel for a quieter evening. I don’t want this note to distract from how lovely the hotel is , as it’s a fab place, but an important point nonetheless , it was also a Friday evening so probably busier.

I liked everything about this hotel. I was met on arrival by the owner of the hotel who gave me a warm and very friendly reception. The room was very comfortable and homely (as was the whole hotel.) Although adjacent to a road, the room was exceedingly quiet, just the odd passing vehicle and no sound from the rest of the hotel. The bathroom was very clean and everything in it worked. The wifi worked very well and very quickly. I felt totally at home in the room and able to use my laptop and I-phone without a problem. The hotel is decorated with many brass artefacts of mirrors, exquisite clocks and animal heads adorning lights all of which add to the lovely charm and ambiance within the hotel. It is worth a visit just to look at these! The hotel, although off the main roads, is ideally situated within easy reach of Fishguard and Pembroke Ferry ports as well as the seaside attractions of Tenby and Pendine Sands.

Nothing.

Fabulous rooms- we were upgraded to Room 6 which was beautiful. Everywhere had been really well designed and it was obvious that a lot of thought and care had been devoted to creating a warm and comfortable environment throughout the building. Staff made it feel like a "home from home".

Meal service was rather slow, although meals were delicious and beautifully presented.

Location was good, allowed us to easily explore the numerous nearby coast towns. The room, breakfast and staff were all very good with the range/selection for breakfast being comprehensive and all freshly prepared.

Only thing I would suggest is that better provision for clothes storage/hanging would have made our stay that little bit more comfortable.

Beautiful country estate home which has been developed into a lovely hotel with a restaurant on-site. The room was clean, quiet and well furnished and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Both the evening meal and breakfast were delicious—fresh food cooked to order. We couldn’t have had a nicer stay in Carmarthenshire. Thank you !

It was perfect for us and we’d recommend it to anyone traveling in Wales. It has everything one could want in a Welsh country stay from a comfortable patio and bar to free parking and gourmet food & drink on-site

Breakfast was great, and quick, location perfect

Felt awkward walking in when about to check in, approx 25 people at bar all turn around looking at us, just felt bit awkward, also a problem trying to checkout pay by card, staff member took around 15 mins to try finding how much I owed and failed, a young girl came along and found it in 30 seconds, when booking a dog was said to be £5 extra, had e-mail saying was £10 extra, then finally told it was £15 which is what was charged

Location, room, small hotel feel, breakfast, parking. Food at dinner was delicious.

Unfortunately, due to there only being one chef available we had to wait 80 minutes for our meal which we were not told when we book the table only an hour before.
