Pleasant staff, nice room, no complaints. No noise from the nightclub across the road as alluded to by one previous reviewer, but I was at the back of the hotel. Would stay there again without hesitation! Communal areas clean. Choice of breakfasts, Full English or cereal and toast, or bacon/sausage sandwiches, and you pay on the day, or you can choose to go elsewhere, the choice is yours. Half mile from the railway station. I was on the train, but there appeared to be plenty of parking room.

A gremlin with the Tv on the final morning, could only access the radio stations not the Tv channels.. The following are observations not criticisms. The hotel might want to consider leaving a glasses in the rooms in addition to the cups provided! As an alternative to the usual bacon/sausage etc, would kippers be a possibility. No small corner shops in the immediate vicinity for newspapers etc, or pubs for a 'quiet pint'.

The hotel was lovely, the rooms are beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Location is great, Just a little walk outside and you can go sit on a bench overlooking the sea and it’s absolutely stunning. It’s not that far to walk to the south pier and a 20 min walk to get the bus to the open air theatre.

For me the bed wasn’t that comfortable, my partner didn’t seem to mind and be wary of the seagulls they were the only thing that kept me up at night, even with earplugs. Was to be expected at a seaside town. So just a pre warning as there’s thousands of them and they will steal your chips haha.

The receptionist staff were very helpful. we had a plumbing issue night two of our stay and they managed to give us another room for the night, it was a bigger room and a slight upgrade to the one we had originally- free of charge.

The issues we found in the hotel were only minor, shower curtain had mould, some of the bedding had a few stains/ marks on them, showers not that great at all: either freezing cold or luke warm. Another issue which isn't the hotels fault at all is the seagulls keeping you up at night squawking all throughout the night - even when the window was closed you could hear them loudly.

Finding it in the dark was tricky. The room was compact but more than adequate. Hairdryer, tea, coffee, TV- breezy which I loved and a fan! Location of room was great not over looked. Parking great and shops we could walk to.

Door handle needs screwing on, i tried but it worked loose again. . Shower was boiling and couldn't turn it down....strangely as it was a lovely bathroom. The bar area could do with livening up a bit...music? Entertainment of an evening? The drinks are reasonable and the room is pleasant..just no atmosphere which is a shame....

A beautifully appointed hotel, extremely clean and the staff couldn't do enough to help. I managed to get an incredible deal too. £31 a night for three nights in a single room with a bathroom. I would have been happy to pay double that amount. I will most definitely return.

The mattress was not very comfortable and listed to the right, I felt like I was going to roll out of bed! After wrestling it 180°, I managed to get a better night's sleep. My travelling companion struggled with the late night noise from the bar across the street.

Staff friendly.. good choice of breakfast items and nice stocked bar. Nice to see working lift to upper floors too. Location a little far from beach if walking aided (walking stick) but kids had no issues with walking to town centre or beach. Surprised to find a fan in wardrobe (bonus). Have recommended it to friends and family. Rooms were spacious and tidy

Big place to keep clean. Some debris under bed. Flies in one room due to windows left wide open..staff sorted that straight away. No chef on first night so couldn't sample the food.

The room was clean and tidy upon arrival had nice sturdy furniture that was comfortable, only had a little bit of trouble with the TV but after a few minutes I managed to solve the issue and fix the loose cable. Honestly can’t complain it’s a very comfortable and homie setting and served me exceptionally well during my stay in Scarborough. :D

The only thing that I personally dislike was the location as it was a bit difficult to find the entrance at first, but once I found it everything was fine from there on out :D

The hotel entrance was a bit run down but as soon as you entered it was very nice .The hotel was stunning well looked after spotlessly clean lovely staff and very reasonable food prices food was very good too and freshly cooked.

The entrance was poor and run down so almost worried the inside would be bad but this was not the case at all. Parking was a nightmare though couldn't always park near hotel and I have difficulty walking.

Very short notice booking (same day) due to an unexpected change of plans, and was given a lovely room. Great to have a lift to the upper floors. Staff very friendly. Good shower with quality shampoo/gel provided. Comfortable bed, good quality bedding and towels.

A chair in the bedroom would have been welcome, rather than having to sit on the bed to watch the TV.

loved everything about the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble for them. my room was very clean and tidy and my bed was super comfy. Nice atmosphere in the bar at night. Best breakfast I think in any hotel I'd ever stayed in. I will definitely be going back next year.

Having to leave early.
