The receptionist staff were very helpful. we had a plumbing issue night two of our stay and they managed to give us another room for the night, it was a bigger room and a slight upgrade to the one we had originally- free of charge.

The issues we found in the hotel were only minor, shower curtain had mould, some of the bedding had a few stains/ marks on them, showers not that great at all: either freezing cold or luke warm. Another issue which isn't the hotels fault at all is the seagulls keeping you up at night squawking all throughout the night - even when the window was closed you could hear them loudly.

Bed was really comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location. My dog was very welcome too.

Light above bed did not work but I was given a lamp which was excellent for reading. Could not turn the radiator off as thermostat did not seem to work in any direction so the window was open to adjust the temperature. Luckily the w/e was good weather wise. Both reported to reception. Real down side was there was no evening meals as the kitchen was being revamped. Would have liked to have known in advance !! Well over a miles walk to the nearest restaurant unless you booked in advance somewhere near and the only restaurant was an Italian and fully booked on both nights. Plenty of Takeaways which was of no real use to me as I wanted a sit down meal. Other hotels in the area had also to be booked in advance if you were a non resident.

First time I went in , check in very quickly and room was aired and clean , they is little space due to the way Scarborough buildings are so if u are wanting disabled access this isn't the building but it's ok if not. Coffee tea was filled every day. Fresh towels. They is a little step yes so be careful with that getting in and out the bathroom. Do be careful. The sea gulls are noisy yes but that's something u can't avoid, north Yorkshire coast the sea gulls are noisy. Staff was lovely. .u could order breakfast in a lovely room. Upto 11 am. They is extra for buffet yoghurt fruit juice but the veggie meals was lovely and the bar staff too always chatty and sociable. Yeh I deffo stay here again. Yes. I didn't pick this place at first as I saw grand till I saw reviews and then I changed to this place thank goodness. The lift is there too , if u need it is small but not great for disability access but ok for suit cases. Lots to do away from the hotel. Places to eat drink bars nearby , coast line , boats , the pirate boat is only 7 pounds and I saw dolphins. Lots of buses and taxis numbers. Sea life too was there , weather was warm , wonderful clean beach sand. You will love it here. It's not in city centre but only a short journey in taxi.

Bar areas closed especially the lord Nelson 8 pm each day but other places near the other side. Not much I didn't like really. Can't complain really. Sea gulls noisy but that' Normal for north Yorkshire coast , u can't really go without the sea gulls , would it north Yorkshire no ?

The location was fantastic, rooms were amazing and staff were so friendly and helpful. Do not be put off by it being pet friendly, the hotel was so quiet and it was full of dogs and their owners

The things that could have been better was a fan in the room as it was very hot and just a little bit more attention to detail such as hand soap potentially provided. The decoration needed a bit of a spruce up, and although their was a lift in the hotel, I don't believe there was a disabled entrance which would expand their audience if one was provided.

The hotel was reasonable on price and being honest we didn't expect much but it by far exceeded our expectations. The room was a decent size, very clean and the staff were polite and very helpful. The meals on the menu were very well priced and excellent value as they were really good. Highly recommended.

Parking a bit of a nightmare on the weekend we went but that was due to a recent fire at another property so some of the road was closed off so parking facilities were reduced.

a budget friendly hotel . in a great location . friendly and a nice welcome on arrival . for the money you won't be disappointed . it served a purpose for our needs all but for one night . we will book again on our next visit .

entrance to reception from main road up a few steps to check in cigaretts ends and a good sweep /clean needed no semi skimmed milk in room. no drinking glasses in room . we went and asked for these . sorted . no waste bin at breakfast . no toaster on buffet . all staff seam to wear what they want not in a smart attire .bit of a uniform needed . and who was who saw 3 different male members .

Our room was on the 2nd floor but there was an elevator and our room was clean and tidy. All the staff were polite and helpful, check in was quick and easy, and although there was no on site parking there was cheep parking very close to the Hotel. Breakfasts were very good and value for money. the paint work around the window in our room was starting to crack and peel, and the complementary milk, tea and coffee wasn't refreshed during in stay. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.

Only that we didn't get a refresh of milk for our room.

the room was very tidy the bed excellant and the staff couldnt do enough for you the breakfast and bar bites was really good and very tasty

mostly the hills but i have a prostetic and the warm water going through the taps i had a bath to fill but the staff fixed it asp also maybe the parking as there was a lot of building around so it was dog eat dog when it comes too parking

Location to main seafront was a little walk 0.8 miles. If not good on feet taxi is essential. The rooms were of very adequate quality for the price paid and facilities good and clean. The breakfast choices was very well balanced and good value for money depending on which option you took. And incredibly filling. You could easily skip dinner based on that. Tea time menu was also good if a little limited. Could do with a good overhaul to bring up to a more modern day level of eating. Excellent staff and very friendly to talk to.

The location was great for walking around Scarborough. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of different options for breakfast in a lovely big setting and evening snacks. Had a lovely time.

Bringing our dog you don't always get the best room, so the carpet was a bit mucky. However the bedding was very clean and towels and for the money we paid it was very good value.
