I quckly relised I was in a quality hotel hotel with staff who worked to a high standard. The public rooms were exceptional and a plesaure to be in. Good choice at breakfast which was nicely served. Dinner was very good and I liked being able to order in the bar and remian there until I was called to my table. I am a single diner I have always hated sitting alone waiting for a meal to be served. I was very content sitting in the bar having a drink. Promote this - it is a boon for guests travelling alone. I suspect most single guests find it awkward sitting alone in a dining room amongst couples.

Nothing really, My only issue with Scarborough is parking. It is expensive in town. I parked on a pay and display to drop off my luggage and then moved the car onto the Espalande and left it there without further charge until the end of my holiday.

My experience at the Crescent Hotel was delightful. My first week there, I stayed in a superior room. Last week in Scarborough, I stayed in a more modern room. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable. I adore the beauty of the first room and the entire hotel. Breakfast was included with your stay. They had a modest breakfast bar. They serve delicious food that their chefs prepared every day until 9 p.m. The pub always offers daily specials, which begin at 12 p.m.   The dinner menu provides a wide variety of options. There is a bar on the ground floor for guests to sit and unwind. They also have a pub attached to the hotel, which is reached by passing past the receptionist and down a flight of stairs.  You should come stop by and check out what the Crescent Hotel has on the weekends. You won't be disappointed. On Thursdays, they have SwingDance. Friday, they have Open Mic Night. On Saturday, they have the Eastside Soul Club. The music is always popping off in there.  They are not far from the seafront or local attractions. You can either walk or take the bus.  The staff makes your stay warm and welcoming. I can't thank them enough for making my stay feel right at home. Once again, thank you to Nadine, Denise, Leanne, Moe, Marina, Estelle, Paul, Vic, Jess, Jake, Richard, Ashley, and Thank you also to the chefs. I apologize if I forgot anyone.

We stayed for 2 nights in a lovely room with ensuite. As well as having an iron board and hair drier, there was biscuits with the tea and coffee in the room, and best bit, cartons of full cream milk as well as semi skimmed. The shower was at a perfect temperature, with plenty of towels. Breakfast was cooked well with plenty of it. Sunday dinner was a choice of 3course meals. My wife and I didn't want a 3 courser and asked if we could just have the main course, to which the chef obliged. The hotel is perfectly situated for the tram down to the south shore, or the shopping precinct just behind the hotel.

Here is what we enjoyed about staying at the hotel: - the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly - the room and bathroom are a nice size and were exceptionally clean - as it got down to freezing temperatures outside at night, the room stayed warm from the radiators - the breakfast and the dinner steaks were delicious - nice selection of libations at both bar areas - excellent location and easy to walk to the shops or to the beachside - the daily parking tariff is very cheap price when purchased from the hotel - easy to find a parking spot near the hotel

The only minor complaint we had was the noises from our ceiling due to the creaking floors from the room above us. I blame the noise mainly on the persons who were staying in the room. It sounded like they had a 1-on-1 rugby match going on all day and night in their room. lol

What a kind, friendly welcome :) we were greeted in such a wonderful way ! My 94 year old father was offered a cup of tea as soon as he stepped through the door so we knew we were in the right hotel ! We loved where the hotel was in a very pretty crescent overlooking a beautiful garden and just a few minute walk from the shops and the promenade. We had a delicious evening meal at the hotel and for comfort and ease it was the best choice for my father . Breakfast was delicious too . Our rooms were so clean and had the most lovely view overlooking the park . The lounge and bars downstairs were so comfortable and welcoming especially the front bar , so sunny and bright just perfect for relaxing after a busy day with a drink and time to play dominoes :) Thank you Nadine, Denise and Richard and all the staff you made our stay so perfect , we would definitely come back :)

Parking around the crescent gets busy , but we had arrived on a beautiful sunny August holiday weekend . That said we were lucky and found a space near to the hotel and bought a full dayparking permit. There is a NCP car park very close by if no parking spaces in the crescent.

Superb location for visiting the Scarborough Spa Theatre. Hotel modern whilst keeping the old features intact. Staff very helpful. Breakfast good but having visited many times over the years we believe their is not as much variety as previously (fresh fruit etc)

The room (superior double) needs a little tlc. Bedding fraying, curtains lost hooks so don’t close properly. New carpet needed. Room very hot with radiator stuck on and only 1 opening sash window. Noise from the new outside seating can be heard in the room late into the night. Would stay again but not in this room. Would have liked menu for sandwiches although the tapas was very nice

Great hotel who looked after us very well to make a big birthday celebration special. Richard was an amazing team member who couldn't do enough the quality if the food and drinks were exceptional.

The Scottish lady who worked some shifts was rude and Mardy and not customer focused at all. Whilst it didn't spoil the party, it did jar and she was the total opposite to every other member of staff which is a really shame. As the hotel and rest of the staff are really assets but just maybe ita the wrong career choice for her.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. The breakfast is excellent and we had the small plates in the bar which I highly recommend. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and it has a small lift for those of us who don't like the stairs. If you don't want a chain hotel and want to feel you're welcome then this is the place.

The only thing we had a problem with was operating the shower as we struggled to turn it off but the lady on reception said it was on their list to sort out.

We have no faults whatsoever. We only booked 1 night as we attended the open-air theatre. Had we not needed to return home, we would have definitely asked the question to stay a second night. From start to finish, we were very happy. The room was spot on, and breakfast was amazing and hot. The staff were very helpful and happy to take care of us. Due to us arriving late we decided to eat in the bar, the food was excellent and well priced. We would definitely stay there again.
