The location is excellent for proximity from the train station and to the beach. It is also very central within the town near lots of restaurants. The room was very spacious with a large clean bathroom. Breakfast is nice, place your order in advance to have your choice of English breakfast items with toast. There’s also cereal, yogurt and fruit salad available. Everything is freshly prepared as soon as you sit down in the spacious dining room. Served by the friendly hosts. We had a sea view from our room, which given it was a relatively short notice booking and it happened to be during Whitby Goth Festival (very busy there) we were very pleased to get. The fine weather really highlighted the local beach and harbour too, just minutes away by foot.

The room decor is a little dated but it’s well kept.

Everything was spot on for a brilliant weekend away. The room was lovely and spacious with everything we needed, extra toiletries and refreshments available if needed. Breakfast was really good and it was so nice to be able to choose what you wanted by filling in the menu cards. The hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, they were also very knowledgeable so if you need help with anything local you can just ask. As the property is so close to both the sea front (approx 100m) and the town centre its the perfect location for days on the beach and nights out in town. Nothing, we were happy with everything

The hosts were warm and inviting, my partner had a poor knee and they offered to move us to a lower floor to help with the stairs. We caught the train and arrived earlier than the check in time, but this wasn't a problem. The owners took our payment, and offered to hold on to our luggage until the room was ready. The room was made up to our preferences. We were given a breakfast menu with a comprehensive choice of items to suit all dietary requirements (We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast A+). The room was attractive, and comfortable, clean towels and bathing facilities including ironing nearby in the hallway. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room, including a HD television with a wide selection of channels. The hosts will even help with meals consumed within the room (outside of breakfast time), and have a designated dining room downstairs if you wish to eat on tables and chairs. Upon checkout, they offered to hold out luggage as we were departing after 4pm, so we didn't have to lug around our backpack during the final hours of our trip when we shopped for souvenirs. If you are going to visit Scarborough, Blands Cliffe B&B is by far, the best place to stay, 100 out of 10! see you soon. Graham & Michael.

Nothing, exceeds all expectations.

Excellent hosts. Great value for money. It felt really personal but with an excellent level of service, unlike a chain hotel or an airbnb. My room was lovely. I loved the decoration, the bed was comfortable and I had a little table I could sit it. They're were facilities in the room to make tea and coffee and everything else you might need. Breakfast was delicious and the owners were very present and happy to help. You're about half way down the hill so convenient for both the town and the beach. Lovely stay, I'd go again.

Had a lovely 1 night stay here. The hosts were both lovely and very friendly. We arrived slightly early and our room was ready and we were advised where to park. Very close to the beach, shops, pubs etc, location was great! The room was a great size, clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was gorgeous, fresh and lots of choice for both me and my son! Would definitely stay again.

The owners are brilliant. Very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spacious and the bed was the comfiest I've slept in in all the places I have stayed. The breakfast is brilliant, you pre order at night and this meant you had a great choice and it was ready for when you came down. The cold selection was great, fresh fruit salad each morning. Nothing was a let down, bathroom recently renovated and modern. The b and b is in a great location just 100 yards from the sea front, down a steep hill but if you have mobility issues there is a longer way around that isn't as stepp. Just fantastic.

There wasn't anything negative about our stay.

The property has a lovely view and very lovely and friendly owners. It is also Nice, clean and comfortable. you get breakfast in with your stay and there is lots of choice- Croissants, fresh fruit and yoghurts, cereal or a cooked breakfast. The breakfast was lovely and it was cooked to an excellent standard and service was also excellent. All the food offered was also fresh. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble for the owners if we needed anything. It is a great location as it is only minute or two walk from the beach and front strip but quietly tucked away so no noise and disturbance.

There was a slight odour of the dogs in the restaurant but I do like that it is dog friendly just not a big fan of smells when I’m eating but I never saw a single hair and dogs weren’t present when eating. The restaurant and everything in it was very clean.

Kevin and Carys are so helpful and friendly, they helped us with parking as we arrived. The room was as described and we could see the sea. Location is good, with a short walk to all that Scarborough has to offer. Breakfast is pre order and fresh with quality ingredients.

The room was lovely and bright so bring an eye mask if light wakes you up.

The blands cliff was an ideal location to take our grandson for a long weekend stay. Everything you needed was close by. The couple who own it are lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was on the top floor. After lots of steps, the view was amazing down onto the bay and castle. Large airy room had comfy beds. The breakfasts were fantastic and set you up for the day! Great value for money.

The breakfast was first rate with a lovely buffet to choose from followed by a delicious cooked breakfast that you used a tick for for to make sure you got just what you wanted. The location could not have been better, though for those with mobility problems, there is a steep almost vertical walk to get to the beach front, which felt gave it the feel of an adventure.

My mobile phone simply could not be accessed in the hotel. No signal at all during my stay. No idea why it worked fine outside. Not really the owners fault.
