The hotel is in the centre of town with very convenient parking. The food was excellent, the staff very attentive and the bar boasts, who must be, amongst the most efficient and hardworking barman in the UK. Thanks Adam!

The room could do with a little attention. The blinds didn’t really work and could readily be removed without any loss. There were binoculars on the window sill, but they were broken. They could also be removed. No binoculars are better than broken ones. I think hotel managers/owners should spend a night in the rooms to see shortcomings that otherwise may pass them by…

The room was very clean and comfortable and well equipped. The staff were very helpful and friendly. In the temporary absence of a chef we were welcome to bring food in to eat in the bar.

As the room was on the front of the property, we were disturbed relatively early by traffic.

Lovely village pub, in the process of refurbishment. Our room was fresh clean and comfortable. The innkeepers and their staff were extremely pleasant. Good beer!

The restaurant was not open on the evening of our stay. The next day when we checked out there was no-one around at all - so no breakfast! The inn has just come under new management, so maybe these are just settling-in problems.

Staff very friendly and helpful as were the locals in the pub ..a nice homely atmosphere. Bed very comfortable. Very flexible when a meal was requested at the immediate start of kitchen hours for me to attend a meeting and arrived very promptly for which I was grateful. Good location for Dartington Totnes and A38 Will certainly go back again.

Nothing to speak of

I was welcomed and shown to my room, which was a good size, with a sofa and fridge as well. The bed was comfy and the building was quiet. There's a nice view of hills from the window.

I guess the bathroom needed a little updating but all worked well.

It was very clean, comfortable, everything we needed for relaxing after visiting Pennywell Farm

The narrow entrance to the car park, but that is out of the owners control, there was a little noise that disturbed us when other guests were leaving when the pub closed, again not down to the owners.

South Brent is a lovely village, not on the tourist trail though I think it should be. We didn't expect real ale as there was no picture on the pub description and that was a real bonus for us. You are missing a trick there.

Location. Room is big. Tea and coffee facilities. Shampoo and Conditioner provided. New bathrooms.

Incredible value for money. Very helpful staff. Helped me get my bags from car when I had a 6 week old baby with me.

We've stay here before, and loved it, and we really enjoyed it this time too, different people running it but they were very nice
