The staff and hotel are excellent! Will definitely be our first go-to when next in Southampton. Food in the restaurant was first class as was amazing staff! Breakfast 2 nd to none! There is nothing too much trouble. All staff went that extra mile! Do eat in the restaurant worth it 👌

The room we stayed in was just too hot. There was no way to open the window to allow air flow, whilst it might suit some as it's on the main road, but not us . Staff apologised and gave an explanation and said to request a different room next time when booking.. It did not spoil an otherwise excellent stay.

The room was bright and airy and surprisingly quiet given its location. The manager who greeted us and checked us in was friendly, helpful and professional. The room had nice facilities - selection of toiletries, robes and slippers, nice choice of teas and coffees, water etc. The restaurant looked amazing but we’d already booked dinner and couldn’t face breakfast, having eaten late the night before and a 3 course lunch booked for the day we left.

Not very much. The shower head needs replacing. It had a mind of its own - with some sprays going nearly horizontal!

The staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for us. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The hotel was very clean and well kept, very convenient for the city centre and quays. The food was excellent, the restaurant had a loveky ambience. Parking was not a problem - we did have to book a spot though to be sure of a space.I would definitely recommend it and would certainly return if back in the area.

Earlier breakfast start as my husband needed to be at work for 8am so a 730 start time made it rather a rush.

Fabulous location, very friendly and helpful staff. Parking has always been available for our stay. Beautiful rooms and high quality food.

Service has always been exceptionally slow in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast - this was our 3rd time staying here. Very busy when we've eaten in the evenings and there are not enough staff to provide the level of service that a 5 star establishment should be able to provide. Having said that, the quality of the food is fantastic.

The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble, ate at the restaurant in the evening and it was first class , the food was absolutely delicious, great value for money . We will definitely be coming back . A big thank you to the front of house team who really looked after us.

The Staff! All were brilliant - friendly and helpful. Especially Jo on reception, for whom nothing was to much trouble. Very comfortable bed, great shower and, although adjacent to busy road, quite quiet. The restaurant food really was exceptional. We will book into hotel and restaurant at start of our next cruise out of Southampton.

Short flight of steep stars to accommodation level - but, receptionist, Jo, took our cases to, and from, room.

Good location. across the road from Red Funnel Isle of Wight ferry terminal. 10 minutes walk to P&O cruise terminal and 10 minutes walk from city Center. Hotel staff were welcoming and helpful (as there is no lift they offered to carry bags up to the room)The room was clean and comfortable as was the bed. They have a restaurant which serves breakfast and delicious lunch and evening meals.

I can think of nothing that I did not like about the hotel

the staff were so friendly & accommodating. beautiful hotel , they really pulled out all the stops. the breakfast was up there with the best we’ve ever had. will certainly be back.

if we HAD to say one thing, the room was very warm so we had the air conditioning on & it was a bit noisy , we had earplugs though so it wasn’t too much of a hassle , certainly wouldn’t put me off returning. the hotel, staff & food more than made up for this very slight inconvenience.

Lovely hotel great location very accommodating as my son on the morning of leaving wasn't very well and fir a charge they allowed us to keep the room till the afternoon.

Only downfall us how much they charge for coffee. We had a cappuccino and a americano which came in small cups no biscuit and it came to over £8.00. We queried this and the cappuccino was over £5.00 and the americano over £3.00. Disappointing as this is a great little hotel but need to review coffee prices as well over the top.

It was a lovely boutique hotel. Room was beautiful. We arrived very late so we did not get to try the Italian restaurant. It was a shame as it looked amazing. Staff were very accommodating considering we were even later then we had informed them we would be. Breakfast was really really good. 😋 the smashed avocado was best I've tried. The guy who looked after us at breakfast was great too. We only stayed the one night but would definitely stay again.
