Very good place. We had a room at the top of the building. Clean an spacious. Although centrally located (3 tube stations within 5 mins walking distance) there was literally no noise from the streets (Thursday some party folks had some after-work drinks below the room, but soundproofing is very good). I definitely would stay there again, once in London!

Checking in was horrible. Although being asked for the arrival time, there was no one there on the reception. After waiting for quite some time (30 mins plus) some other guests opened the main door for us. In the lobby you find telephone numbers for their main reception (located on a different site). When you call them, they give you a code for a key-safe, where your key card is stored. This process is not satisfactory, as there is no sign, telephone number or whatever on or near the front door, to give information what to do. It's pure luck, that some other guests help you getting in to get the contact information. This definitely must be improved as you might stay in front of the building, if you arrive late evenings and no one is there to let you in :-(

Concierge service was great. The bar was gorgeous with great cocktails and outside area. The room was lovely. Air conditioned and the best blackout curtains with plenty of drinks and a nespresso machine. The bed was comfy the TV was great and we barely heard any people whilst in our room. Well thought out lighting and deal area by the window for natural light. Impressive menus for the bar/lounge. 10 mins walk from some beautiful bars and restaurants which we opted for after reading reviews of the on site restaurant.

The staff were either amazing or not friendly or helpful at all. The room service seemed to be unavailable between 10 and 12. The bar shut at 10 and we called constantly.. we were told by reception it was available from 11 but never had our call answered. The pool and jacuzzi were not clean sadly.

The receptionist dealt with my arrival efficiently, giving clear, simple, quick, easy to understand information without wasting any unnecessary time. The guest room was relaxing, peaceful, and artistic with tactile Victorian-ish wooden paneling, luxurious bedding, charming wall paintings, and a cinematic-like TV screen. The bathroom and facilities were more than welcomed. The buffet breakfast gave a healthy choice of very well prepared dishes.

The location is difficult to find. I did get good guided and directional help from a gentlemanly construction projection manager. However, the city's layout is not the fault of the fine hotel. Street directions are reasonable in the city but they could be improved to aid visitors.

Superior room was quiet with very good light-stop curtains. We slept so well that we were surprised to see from our window that three cruise ships had docked whilst we slept! Our fourth stay here as is convenient with easy parking. Room was clean and bed comfy as usual. A good tea/coffee tray, nespresso machine, bottle of water and mini fridge were all useful. I like their offer to bring to your room extra toiletries from a long list if you’ve forgotten something such as showercaps, toothpaste, sanitary products etc. Short walk to West Quay for shopping, restaurants & to Dancing Man pub.

Receptionist was very good but we had to wait a long time and she did apologise but we felt it wasn’t her fault and that management should have noticed the long queue and assisted at busy times to provide better customer service.

Excellent room and facilities!! The staff in the leisure centre and also the leisure facilities were fab.

We were stood in a long queue for 20 minutes waiting to check in. Only one person on the desk serving. No apology about the waiting time to check in were given and we were not informed of any leisure opening times, dinner times etc… we had to keep asking for information. Later again when visiting reception I was greeted by another receptionist. I requested for some plasters and was told very bluntly the hotel had none. Surely that is standard equipment needed within a first aid box? The reception staff were very blunt and overall let down the feel and excitement of our stay down. Apart from this, the facilities and leisure staff were very accommodating the room was perfect.

Great breakfast, good selection with quality ingredients. Staff were attentive and helpful. Enjoyed a meal at the Marco Pierre White restaurant, again the staff were friendly and offered us a bottle of Prosecco as we were celebrating a birthday and anniversary. Our hotel room was decorated with rose petals, chocolates and Prosecco beautiful. The pool and spa was wonderful. West Quay cinema and shopping centre close by great selection of shops and restaurants. We went to the Pig in The Wall opposite the hotel, had a lovely cocktail and sausage homemade sausage roll.

The room was spacious, the bathroom well set up though the shower alcove was very tiny. The meal in the restaurant downstairs was excellent, stunning even. Staff were lovely and even though there was chaos the morning of departure, they remained calm and helpful.

The hotel was looking a little tired. The cleaning was not quite up to scratch. The location was problematic for us, requiring a vehicle to get to local shops. A real negative was having to walk through clouds of smoke from smokers standing right at the building access points. For those with respiratory issues this was an unwelcome arrival.

Breakfast was delicious. Well presented and a great choice of food. It was also different on the second morning of our stay so we had variety. Good location and easy to find. Everywhere was generally clean and staff were friendly. We had a nice view from our room and the room was spacious with good facilities.

Bathroom was outdated and could do with refreshing- grout mouldy. More staff needed on reception desk- we waited for 20 mins to get our key cards reactivated for our room as they didn’t work at the end of our second day on returning to our room. The family changing room at the swimming pool was freezing as the windows were always open- not ideal when getting a baby dressed after swimming! Housekeeping didn’t top up tea making supplies during our stay- had to ring housekeeping to deliver more.

The room was lovely and spacious. The hotel is in a great location as well just a small walk away from west quay shopping centre. Breakfast was good with lots of variety on food options. The pool was never really too busy so it was nice for a spacious swim. The view was stunning also a lot of people staying there were staying the night so they could catch their cruises in the morning.

Unfortunately I've never had to write a bad review on a place that I can remember however I usually read reviews before I stay places, but I thought it's a Leonardo hotel what could be wrong. Some staff were very lovely. The health club manager I can't remember her name, but I did look on the wall in the health suit so I could later relay these issues. she was very unprofessional and rude I walked past the desk where she was either having an argument with an employee or one of her friends either way very unprofessional and in front of the public as well at the desk. For these reasons like I said as much as I love a Leonardo and hate to complain, but it had to be done in order for these issues to be addressed. Plus the jacuzzi on all the days I was there was not working.

Super hotel, just let down by sealant around windows, mouldy and black, light shades stained, one light didn't work at all. Most staff friendly and helpful, especially concierge and cleaner. Reception guy moaned at how many cruise passengers would be checking in 22.4.23 and out next day?? You are a hotel in Port of Southampton, don't bite the hand that feeds you!!! Hotel better than expected, maintenance of window mould is such an easy thing to remedy and improve overall image. Breakfast was great and location was perfect.
