The rooms and hotel itself was lovely, clean and tidy too . Beds were very comfortable and the linens and towels spotless .. the soaps and shampoos in the room were great quality and we even had a bath in the room. The pool and all leisure facilities were great and again very clean and tidy. The staff were amazing, gentleman at checkin was very accommodating as we asked for a ground floor room at the last min and were still provided one even though the hotel was very busy and booked up. When we asked for a hairdryer it was delivered to the room within minutes of request. The bar staff were super friendly and lovely and I must applaud the red headed barmaid who had to deal with a very rude Custer and she did so with the upmost professionalism and manners , fair play to her. The grounds of the hotel were well kept and lovely to walk around. We will most certainly be back !!!! I think a lot of the negative reviews of the hotel are harsh.

Could do with a plug socket beside the bed but other than that I can’t say there was a bad thing we saw or experienced. Lovely place to stay, and for the price it was a total bargain.

Beautiful setting, really close to the attractions we visited and to a little town with supermarkets, take aways etc, nicely decorated and furnished, lovely room, comfy bed, very clean and tidy, nice shower. Food was really tasty, both the evening meal and breakfast. Ample choices for cooked breakfast, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice etc. swimming pool was nice and warm, clean changing rooms with lockers. Every member of staff we met was polite, friendly, helpful and definitely enhanced our stay. Would highly recommend and would love to stay there again ourselves.

N/A, it was all lovely!

Ground floor twin as I have mobility issues. Location. Swimming pool.

Extra unexpected charge for swimming pool. Poor lockers in changing rooms. Paintwork generally in hotel needed a good scrub, I.e dado rails dining room and general paintwork in hotel. It made the place look unnecessarily grubby in areas. The set £20 meal is a good deal but I felt people choosing this option would want a very simple choice. There was only 1 item on it I would choose but maybe that’s just me. It’s a beautiful hotel in fantastic grounds and easiky accessible local areas.

Clean and spacious room Able to accommodate dog Dog friendly dining area Food available

Had to pay for food after ordering and before eating whereas restaurant occupants did not. Long wait for food and had to remind about coffee ordered which I wanted to have while waiting Disabled access via ramp but heavy doors at top of ramp I couldn’t manage on my own. Disabled parking not close enough to main entrance. Taxi pull in priority it seems. No sockets by bed so could not charge phone and use it at same time. People in bar were served before me despite coming after me .

Location lovely, staff lovely, breakfast lovely. Very accomodating when i wanted to switch my room type a few days before arriving. Very reasonably priced drinks at the party. Good location for a party lots of space inside and outside. Accomodated pets well.

The checkin process took ages i was queueing to check in for half an hour. The staff were lovely but only 1 person at the desk even when it was busy. My bed was hard which was not what i like personally. Room was ok level of clean not superb level of clean- my dog found rubbish under the bed.

Room clean and comfortable bed. The original part of the Manor is beautiful. There was only one member of staff that was friendly, most of the others looked like they didn't wNt to be there. I would stay again as room was lovely.

The extensions to the Manor looked more like a school. Garden could have been stunning but it just needs to be tidied up everywhere. It's very tired looking. Such a shame. It lacked any atmosphere and seemed a bit flat. Staff weren't the friendliest. Breakfast not included in price.

staff were really helpful and friendly as soon as I had made my booking I put a request in for a nice room if possible as we were celebrating my Husbands Birthday and I got an immediate response saying I had been allocated a lovely room over looking the Gardens which is exactly what we had.The view was beautiful when we woke up the next morning. we did eat in the Restaurant on the evening we were the only people bar another family in there the food was adequate but a little bit pricey I felt but breakfast the next morning was great a really good selection. the staff were all really friendly and helpful in every area the leisure facilities were also good. the hotel is a little worn and does need a little TLC but it is clean and very comfortable I would stay here again especially if we had the same room again.

The restaurant staff didn't clear plates away at breakfast and on our evening meal which was a shame as it let the service down and I think bathrobes and slippers would have made it better as it was 4 star it's the little things that make a big difference.

The breakfast was delicious 😋 especially the sausages and the bacon, oh and the button mushrooms and the grilled tomatoes. There was fresh fruit and yoghurt all displayed temptingly. The chef Rahuul has done excellent improvement, we have stayed here with in the past with a different chef. Thank you Rahuul for delicious breakfast. The room was spacious, very comfortable king size bed, clean and nice size bath to have a relaxing soak. We heard no noise whatsoever.

The man on reception was not very interactive. No welcome enjoy your stay etc. Just said, " no you don't have to register your car anymore and you are room number one down the corridor on right hand side." Later on my husband asked for extra milk and he grabbed handful out of box and shoved them on the counter, quite rude! Did the same later on when we asked for more coffee. Plus side, we didn't have to ask again, we had enough for a few days! There used to be some lovely staff on reception, perhaps their weekend off.

Staff very helpful, from reception to restaurant and leisure centre. The room was clean and well furnished. I had requested a room in a quite corner of the hotel as we are both light sleepers and that is exactly what we got! So had a good nights sleep. The leisure facilities were excellent. I had read some very negative reviews about the staff and hotel, but we had no problems or issues. We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

Maybe just vary the menu for dinner. We felt there wasn't enough choice of dishes. If this can be done and the menu is made available online then there is a good chance they will get guests staying in the hotel for dinner rather than go elsewhere.

Size of the room were great. Breakfast was very nice, a good range. Didn’t have dinner there any of the nights we stayed. The staff in general were very helpful and polite. Good morning and evening etc.

I think the grounds could do with some attention. Flower beds needed weeding and boarders cutting in. Litter pick around the boundaries. Cigarette bin! Was alway full and had a big rusty whole inside of it. Didn’t have any outside bins on site.
