great location and plenty of parking on site which was important for us. The main shopping areas started just around the corner, a very short walk away. the bar/ eating area was lovely, big open fire, lots of different seating. breakfasts were more than adequate with most ingredients sourced locally, really tasty fresh eggs. The bedroom was warm (we had to turn down the radiator) and there was no annoying air con, you can actually open the windows.

the bathrooms were small. but that's not something that could be changed. It's an old building, not a characterless new build!

Lovely staff. Good room, clean. Comfortable bed. Good tea, coffee supplies, nice biscuits, water etc. Good hot shower. Manager went the extra mile to help make sure I had extra fruit at breakfast to keep on track with Slimming World. Food in the restaurant is excellent, we have eaten here several times and this is why we decided to stay.

Shower design meant it was very hard to avoid flooding the bathroom. We had to use a towel and the bath mat to build a dam. At the back of the building the noise of glass bottles being binned was quite loud after closing time.

It's the 2nd time for us to stay at the Priory Inn and it was just as good as our previous stay. The hotel is situated in Tetbury and it's a great base to explore the Cotswolds. The National Arboretum is about 3 miles away and Highgrove is about a ten minute drive. On arrival at the hotel, reception may not be manned but just go through the bar there's always someone to help. The staff are really great here, nothing is too much trouble and they'll give you great ideas of where to visit. The bedrooms are clean, comfortable with ample towels and toiletries and a lovely selection of tea/coffee and biscuits. There is also an iron ironing board and hairdryer in the room. The food at this hotel is simply fabulous. We had Sunday lunch on this visit and it was just delicious. We both had the 2 meat selection, lamb and roast belly pork (the crackling was done to perfection), roast potatoes, roast carrots and beetroot and a huge Yorkshire filled with crispy kale and a little jug of gravy. It was all well seasoned,and piping hot. Breakfast is another delight with an excellent choice of hot meals and cereals and toast. We had the Full English, with perfectly poached eggs on sourdough bread, sausage, bacon, beans, tomato, mushroom and a hash brown. It's the quality of the produce that they use coupled with a great chef that makes this food so good All in all I would highly recommend the Priory Inn as a lovely place to stay with excellent food we'll certainly be returning

Everything went well with my stay. I arrived early and they did their best to get me into my room as soon as they could. I was able to sit and enjoy a coffee while I waited. Personal service! They called me by my name through my stay and made me feel welcome. The food was amazing. ALL staff on point. Thanks Nat and team for the attention to detail. This place was spotless!

I had no hot water the day of my check out. I ran it for some time to no avail. I suggest a booster heater on their hot water boiler as you need hot water for all guests not just the ones that get up first

Friendly, helpful staff all very polite. Bedroom and bathroom a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast offered a good range of options from cereals, fresh fruit, toast and jams/marmalades. Several hot options all well cooked. Good range of teas and coffees. The evening meals were delicious, hot and well presented, with a good menu to choose from. Waiting staff attentive and polite.

Overall an excellent up market pub with very comfortable rooms. adequate parking and excellent ’quiet’ areas. The staff from Natalie down wee always keen to help.

Two suggestions not negatives. 1) A nightlight would be really useful. Old people frequently need to use the loo in the night and a nightlight means they don’t disturb their partner en-route. We had to leave the bathroom lights on all night. 2) Every hotel we have visited in the last 5 years served yogurt as part of the breakfast offer. The Priory should join the crowd.

We were suppose to stay in a cottage in Bibury. The owner cancelled my booking last minute saying they didn't take reservation less than three night. We changed our plan and stay in Tetbury instead. It was the best decision I had ever made. Rooms in Priory Inn are spacious. I really like their in-room tea and coffee selections. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious food. One thing I like the most is the lounge where we could have a glass of wine and played card game with my friends.

The toliet is a bit small. But doesn't really bother me.

This is one of the most friendly and warm hotels that I have stayed in. The staff are just so happy and accommodating, they constantly want to ensure your stay is a good one. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained for a hotel that appears to be busy all the time. If you stay, you must make sure you book a table at the restaurant and ensure that you add the breakfast to your bill, just amazing quality and value for money. Big shout out to Rob that sorted out my room key. Thank you all at the Priory Inn :-)

The weather :-) it rained

Beautiful rooms and pub/restaurant. Staff were so friendly and you could tell they actually cared about their customers.

I thought £150 was expensive for a Friday stay with breakfast not included. Breakfast was an extra £15 per person but saying that it was a decent breakfast just seems expensive. We had the facilities to make coffee/tea in the morning but unfortunately we didn’t have any mugs in our room. Easy thing to be missed definitely wouldn’t put us off returning.

The bedrooms are tastefully simple and well laid out. Ensuite small but efficient and spotless. The double bed was extremely comfortable. The central heating was on all night and allowed me to control the room temperature. The restaurant cum bar in the Priory Inn is outstanding. The dishes on the varied dinner menu were well executed. The chef clearly has a refined palate and served delicious food. Breakfast was also delicious.
