Breakfast was excellent. Good choice of food and fresh fruit.

We were pre warned about the building work going on. But to have a builder sanding a window directly on your window while you are eating breakfast ( ie a foot away ) was pretty uncomfortable. They should have delayed that work until after breakfast we felt.

It's a lovely hotel right in the centre of Tetbury. Full of character and log fires. The staff were professional and excellent. Dinner and breakfast were good.

OK, I booked a cosy double but I should have gone for the standard because it was a bit too cosy and no desk to sit at and do my work. The room was overheated when I walked in and opening the window to cool it down let in traffic noise from the street. Avoid paying for the dinner bed and breakfast because it's no deal at all. You pay £40 at time of booking for the dinner and then they charge you the standard amounts for all the food and drink and deduct £40. It's a sly way of locking you in to dining there rather than somewhere else in town.

Beautiful building and a very large room with a comfy bed. Dinner in the restaurant was superb! Most staff were lovely and accommodating. The location was excellent and the car park secure. Will definitely stay again.

Shower over bathtub wasn’t too private as the blinds didn’t quite cover the windows looking over a common area. Housekeeping cleaned our room despite us hanging out a sign to the contrary. They took a T-shirt in doing so, which had to be recovered. However the management apologised with a note and box of chocolates. One bartender was very rude and short with us and this was mentioned to management.

The staff were friendly, efficient and engaging. A lovely welcome when we arrived and our room was pleasant albeit a little small but it is a 450 year old building. The bar staff were accommodating and efficient and the dinner service was swift with the food well prepared, tasty and (rare in some places) hot when it was served. Breakfast was outstanding and set us up for the day. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to visitors to Tetbury and the surrounding areas.

It rained the entire time so couldn't make use of the lovely garden but I can't hold the hotel responsible for that! Everything else was very good, no complaints.

The location and the gardens are beautiful - the staff are wonderful and very friendly - very handy for the shops in the village too I have to mention Mark at Reception is wonderful and definitely a huge asset to the hotel and Mark & Benjamin in the bar & restaurant were also excellent and the lovely girls who served us put up with our big group

The only thing the lighting isn’t that good on the stairs and lamps were quite dim in the rooms but other than that the place is wonderful 🥰

We had a wonderful two-night stay at this charming hotel. Our room, and the hotel as a whole, was spotlessly clean. Our room was large and quiet and was well stocked with hangers, a fan, an iron, tea facilities etc. Toiletries in the bathroom were excellent. The restaurant was very good and we so enjoyed having breakfast and dinner in the garden. The garden is absolutely gorgeous and really made our stay extra special. We loved the hotel location - right in the heart of the town.

We both felt that the pillows needed looking at - they were very flat and hard. Everything else was excellent.

Stunning decor in nightingale room and the bathroom with double shower and central bath and tv was glorious

We were very disappointed with the food. The breakfast was good as was the château Briand (£75 for 2) but the Caesar salad was terrible as the bacon totally took over the whole flavour, we can’t remember what other dishes we had but we weren’t impressed. Pity as this was the only downer to our visit and we wouldn’t eat there again but there is a fab pub round the corner

I had a room in the Tower. Large very comfy bed, very quiet, nice and warm (at the end of this very cold spring it's good to know that some establishments recognise the need for central heating). Tea and coffee and biscuits available. Good shower room with toiletries. Essentially what one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. Staff were particularly friendly, A really lovely breakfast selection available. Great terrace edging the lawn.. lovely when the weather gets a bit warmer.

I small fridge for the fresh milk would have been useful.

The staff were brilliant, helpful attentive responsive and cared enough to make that extra effort, especially Benjamin and Mark. Facilities were very good and the fact they put out beds and bowls for my dogs was agains reflection of going that extra mile. Garden area was beautiful and relaxing.

A little more attention to detail, my breakfast arrived without poached eggs and the toast was delivered without butter.

Firstly the staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Nicky. The room was amazing, didn’t expect anything as grand. The nspresso machine was a great addition, as was the range of coffees and tea. The bathroom was incredible and the molten brown products. The window seats were my favourite bit and the views over the garden. Was a hot room and the fan was amazing and so quiet. Breakfast was amazing the range on the buffet was first class

Don’t put lemon in pink gin 😂
