Beautiful in every way, with very attentive staff. Comfy bed, lovely view and very nice extras in the room. Gorgeous well equipped spa, however, the water could have been warmer in the hydro pool and the spa bar had ran out of most drinks. Deep tissue massage was amazing.

There is nothing not to like, it’s just a beautiful place. However, adding a 10% service charge onto our food and drink is absolutely fine for us but this hotel added 10% onto everything including your actual hotel booking, which I have never experienced at a hotel before, and it is simply not OK. That’s not a service in itself and should not be the case. It was discretionary and we did remove it, but it’s uncomfortable to be put in that position in the first place, which I guess is why they do it as most people either won’t notice or won’t want to ask for it to be removed.

Staff in all areas were excellent, they went the extra mile to ensure you had a good stay. Room was large, spacious and well decorated. Food was well prepared and served on time with a smile. The pool and aqua sauna were a pleasure to use.

Not so obvious that reception can be found for unloading cases through a large automated door. Some items were unnecessarily expensive. Wine may well have been excellent, but a few less expensive bottles would be welcome. The charging fee for electric vehicles could have cheaper for overnight charging. The discretionary 10% add on to the bill should be made clearer at the time of booking.

The staff were amazing and so well trained. Hats off to whomever trains the staff. Best customer care we’ve had anywhere in the U.K. So attentive and welcoming. This is also true for waiting staff at The Dining Room. The facilities were lovely and the grounds are stunning. Hoping to be back soon!

Stairs carpet will soon need repair or replacement but that’s nothing really.

The room (21) is/was terrific. So was the spa. Breakfast was generous with very attentive service with an attractive naiveté.

The quality of the dinner was fine in Grey's, but the service was patchy. We received our wine order before the cocktail/ kir order. We sat down at just after 19.30 and the bread arrived at about 19.55 with the wine arriving some 10 minutes later - we placed our food order at about 19.45 and the first course arrived at about 20.15. After that all was well and the staff were charming but maybe not quite 'table alert' at all times. In their defence the neighbouring table was hard work for them with a family choosing to bring their domestic issues into a semi-public arena. It was entertaining in a Gogglebox way but also quite offensive. Tough for the staff (24.07.22).

Free room upgrade for birthday which was an amazing suprise! Staff were amazing, building and ground beautiful. Restaurant and food was amazing! Spa was wonderful

Blinds opened themselves at 7.30am, maybe a programming issue on the lighting control system? Appart from that, perfect

The room overlooking excellent gardens was great, we visited the gardens that when down to the river Avon and very natural. The breakfast was really good with individually prepared buffet selections and a great selection of a quality hot breakfast. The spa was one of the best we have attended.

Nothing not liked, everything either met or exceeded expectations.

The staff are still wearing face coverings, which I appreciated as a guest while COVID infection rates are still high. The staff were exemplary throughout the stay. The intimacy of the entire property: except for the dining & bar areas, the property never seemed crowded and even the number of people in the spa facilities over the weekend seemed reasonable. It's been around 20 years since I first went to Watley Manor, and was pleased to see a number of tech upgrades. The refurbished rooms now have bedside USB charging ports and the TV works with Chromecast. They've also added an infrared sauna to the spa. On arrival, the staff offered to park & charge my electric car (thanks Andrew!). Probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in.

No complaints, although it would've been nice to have a vegetarian Sunday roast option. The food portions were a touch on the small side for the price.

Everything was awesome except just 2-3 points Hats off to the staff who were extremely courteous and helpful

1. The door lock was extremely difficult to open 2. The pillows were too big and uncomfortable 3. Temperature control system in room needs to be updated, as it got too hot at midnight

Food in Brasserie, staff firendiness, comfort of room and bed, location, food, spa facilities

Not being told that they wouldnt service room and having to ask repeatedly for tea coffee cups etc It would be good idea to put sign in room to say it is your current policy that guest should request room replenishment of items Did not expect to wash up our own cups etc in 5 star hotel!

Beautiful and very elegant manor, felt very comfortable and homey, yet still very luxurious. The light antipasti supper offered with wine (on days where the restaurant was not open) was lovely.

Nothing!
