The hosts leanne & Arron was absolutely amazing we really was part of the b&b family home we cannot wait to go back we miss it all and them already! It's clean ,smells beautiful from the front door, rooms are decorated modern and very very clean beds comfy, shower is cosy then there was breakfast which was included by the way which leanne and arron without fail done every morning was wonderful freshly made again very clean also in the eating area and clean cutlery,plates,cups etc we literally can't even express our delight to of spent the best holiday we have had not just in paignton but at leanne & Aaron's b&b . If you haven't been here you need to get booking best place in paignton and location is perfect. Lovely people pleasure to meet and made me and my partner and my children very welcome indeed nothing was to much trouble and there smiles every morning made our holiday even more worth it . If I could of sat in there room for the week and just go for food on the evenings I would of it was that brilliant. 💯 recommended without question. Nothing could of been better it was more than better anyway. Just make sure you both have time for yourselfs and a break you work so so hard.

Clean and spacious room, great breakfast and excellent hosts

The extras in the room were great - like fresh milk for tea/coffee in a mini fridge (along with cold water), the Nespresso machine and the USB plugs. The bed was really comfy and the decor was unfussy (not old school B&B style). Access for after hours was really easy and the owners were really friendly and accommodating with my awkward timings. Good communication beforehand too. Parking a bonus as well, as the road is fairly busy with cars (but I did find a space outside to start with anyway). I wasn't sure about just a continental breakfast to start with but the coffee machine was good (tea on request - and you are asked straight away, so no delay) and plenty of choice with cereals, a bowl of fresh strawberries and blueberries, yoghurts, croissants, waffles, boiled eggs, bacon pastries, toast, crumpets, ham and cheese - definitely didn't need cooked breakfast alongside all of that!

The only thing that I was even slightly aware of as a downside was the size of the room - it was cosy, but I didn't need anything else and it was fine for one person. The bed is really big so that's the compromise and the price reflected that too. I didn't see any other rooms so couldn't comment on those but mine had a high ceiling so it didn't feel small, it's just a fact to note if you need more room for limited mobility (I was in room 2).

The house is very nicely refurbished and I thought it looked better then the photos. The beds were comfortable, linen clean and crispy white, it was really neat and clean everywhere. There were blackout blinds so no child woke up too soon :). Nespresso in the rooms and nice bean to cup coffee for breakfast. We don’t really take breakfast at UK hotels as we can’t stand fry ups but as it was included in price and continental we really enjoyed it - there was a nice variety. We enjoyed the stay as it felt really homely and the owners were the loveliest people so can wholeheartedly recommend.

A lovely guest house with fabulous hosts. Everything was spotlessly clean, A great lounge with leather settees & a large tv. The continental breakfast was great - good choice of cereals, fresh fruit, warm croissants, pain au chocolate, bacon wraps, boiled eggs, white & brown toast, muffins & crumpets, Special dietary requirement catered for (as long as you let them know beforehand) Leanne & Aaron couldn't have been more helpful and were really nice.

A warm welcome from Aaron and Leanne at this well modernised property, in a quite location on the edge of Paignton, but close to all amenities. Good continental style breakfast with plenty of fresh fruit and sweet treats. Excellent base for touring Torbay, the South Hams and Dartmoor.

Breakfast would have benefited from more variety during the week, but lovely and tasty, and set you up for the day.

We did not have breakfast during our stay so cannot comment on that. The location was great, everything was in walking distance, we only used our car once during the week. Our room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The towels and bed linen were extremely good quality. Our hosts were very welcoming on our arrival and very friendly during our stay.

We had a few problems with the plumbing in our bathroom but as the owners had only just taken over the property that week they were unaware and were arranging for a plumber to come out and fix the issues so hopefully would be sorted for the next guests.

The breakfasts were fantastic, so much to choose from all tastes were catered for. I loved that they provided a real coffee machine in the room most do not and it is so important! The guest lounge was such a great space for the whole family and the garden space was lovely too , such a great place , perfect hosts , a perfect room and a perfect stay we couldn't fault it.

The Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of hot and cold breakfast options. The Staff were really friendly and helpful. They gave us a lot of advice and tips about local places to visit. They were very accommodating to our various needs and requests. The location of Sonachan House was very good. It was close to the centre of town i.e 5 mins walk, and close to both beaches:- Goodrington Sands Beach and Paignton Beach. Sonachan House were very aware of our concerns about Covid 19 and they had an AA Covid 19 rating. They ensured social distancing was maintained during breakfast and the venue was very clean in order to reduce the infection risk. There was good off street parking where we were able to leave our car during the week whilst we used public transport most of the time. Sonachan house was also close to a variety of restaurants and pubs for evening meals etc.

There was nothing that we did not like about Sonachan House

Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The price was excellent value for money. The breakfast was tasty with good quality ingredients and well presented.

From an environmental viewpoint I would like to see all B&Bs using refillable dispensers for soap (and any other toiletries they want to offer) in the room rather than individual plastic bottles. Breakfast - individual butter and jam portions are producing tons of discarded packaging everyday. Most B&Bs now offer vegetarian sausage as a breakfast option. My mattress was extra firm and I found this very uncomfortable, but this is a personal preference.
