I very much enjoyed staying at the family run Wentworth Guest House. It was a very quiet location, practically in a cul-de-sac, and opposite a park with beautiful views over Torbay and a couple of minutes walk from the beach and boating activities for young people. It was less expensive than many other B&B's in the area, and was within walking distance of the bus and train stations (about 10 mins). In the house there was a lot of local information about places to go or to eat, and TV's in the bedrooms. The family tried very hard to please and were extremely friendly and helpful eg when I forgot to bring my phone charger with me. There were no problems. The breakfast was extremely good and many variations were available including vegetarian options.

The single room I had had a quite small bathroom but there are already plans to improve it.

This was my second stay at the Wentworth guest house and an enjoyable one. The two shining lights about this guest house are the friendly owners and the wonderful location. It really matters to the owners Chris and Amelia that their guests have an enjoyable stay. I love the fact that in the dining room they have a stock of soft drinks and chocolate that you can buy. It saves me walking to the shops! I owe £3.20 on my next visit as i couldnt find the honesty box lol.

The mobile phone signal was poor in the room(not the owners fault) and the internet connection was sometimes very slow. Also due to the saniflo system installed in the bathroom i was unable to wash my t-shirt which had an icecream stain on it. Also you cant do things like wash sandy shoes due to the saniflo. None of these things will stop me from staying at the Wentworth again though. The owners are so friendly and helpful and the location is just brilliant so close to Goodrington sands.

Chris & Amelia very welcoming, felt relaxed immediately. Our room was beautifully decorated, very clean indeed. Bed very comfy & we were provided with lots of tea & coffee. Breakfast was delicious, good portions and lots of choices. Chris & Amelia excellent hosts. Location was great, few steps to goodrington sands and Youngs Park. Without a doubt we recommend Wentworth Guest House, you will not be disappointed Thank you very much Chris & Amelia, best wishes to you and your family.

Room was comfortable with a TV and an arm chair. The room temperature could be controlled by the guest 24/7. The view from the room was over the park and was quiet. The breakfast was good, with a choice. The cooked breakfast was grilled ... not greasy with a variety of foods, plus cereal, fruit juices, coffee and tea and fruit and toast. The position of the accomodation is excellent with just a short 2 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk to Paignton town, bus station and rail station.

Nothing

Everything. Amelia Chris and daughter Isla were amazing, nothing to much trouble. Room was spotless and had everything you could need. Breakfast was lovely, we even had smoked salmon one morning. Two minute walk to the beach and lovely park and only a short walk to numerous restaurants in Paignton.

Nothing not to like

Great quiet location opposite a lovely park and 2 mins walk to the beach. The guesthouse is centrally placed to explore Paignton, Dartmouth and Brixham. The room was comfortable and well presented with drinks facilities and en-suite shower and toilet. The breakfast room was light and the breakfast was delicious with a good choice of menu made to order. Free street parking outside the property. The owner’s were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

Wow, what a lovely guest house owners Amelia and Chris have. They made me feel so welcoming, so friendly as if I had known them longer than I have. Everything was lovely and they couldn’t do enough for me, very well looked after. I’m already look forward to going back to stay. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks so much both 🙂

The Wentworth is definitely a home from home guesthouse, Amelia and Chris go above and beyond for their guests and you can tell nothing is too much trouble for them 😀 but never in your face. The breakfast is definitely the best we have ever had.

B&B owners are incredible friendly and helpful. You can tell how much they love the place and are passionate hosts. The B&B is located in a nice part of Paignton, opposite a pretty park, the beach and harbour with very good restaurants all in walking distance. Also close to the coastal path to Brixham which we enjoyed a lot.

Lovely, friendly owners who obviously enjoy having guests but not intrusive. Tasty breakfast, room was clean, tidy and well equipped. Full, well stocked tea tray. Good shower and toiletries. Peaceful nights sleep.

Although breakfast was very good and I don't mean to be picky, it was a little early (8.30 - 9.15am) and I would have enjoyed the opportunity to have a little longer in bed while on holiday. (my previous B&B allowed a 9.30 - 10am sitting)
