Very clean and newly decorated, staff were very friendly, we ate in the restaurant and the food was all home cooked, hot and very good value, drinks were very cheap by comparison to where we live. In the evening they had a band playing and we enjoyed the whole evening even though we were the only “non-locals” in attendance. Everyone there seemed very friendly and we felt totally at home, even the twenty something village idiot with his girlfriend who took great delight in acting like a prat, was quite funny looking back on it, he obviously doesn’t get out of the village too much

Comfortable Twin room with shower/toilet ensuite. There was plenty of room for luggage, hanging space for clothes, TV on the wall, and there was also a handy desk. Soap, shower gel and towels were also supplied. Parking was in the square opposite the pub. No charge for parking and was relatively easy to get a parking space when we arrived. There is a clock in the square that chimes on the hour, this being said, once we closed our windows at night, you couldn't hear it. We also ate in the pub restaurant the evening we arrived, and the meal was tasty, plentiful, and good value for money. Everyone that worked there, that we had any interaction with, was friendly and courteous. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Woolpack.

The only thing I would change about my visit there, is I do wish they did breakfast.

We stayed there as we were fishing locally. We were welcomed by the team on site who were all great. The room was spotless. Due to our late arrival we missed out on dinner as the kitchen had closed but they said we could get a takeaway and eat it in the pub or in the outside area which was great.

It was a nice friendly pub, where locals come who were happy to chat. The room was clean, nicely decorated, a view over town square (nice for me as an overseas tourist), bed very comfortable. Good hot water and shower pressure. Good tea and coffee facilities in room.

Very friendly, helpful staff and locals. Lovely traditional pub with a great selection of ales and good food. Comfortable en suite room.

Not a huge negative as I knew it when I booked but if they offered breakfast it would make a great stay perfect.

Did not have breakfast but the meal we did have was very good. The location was excellent for our needs. Staff could not have been any more helpful.

The bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. The bathroom was huge but slightly dated. This didn't detract form it use as a bathroom.

Nothing to dislike about this establishment. Good honest basic over night stopover.

The property is an excellent location, but in addition Lynda, Mike and Shantel run an excellent site. Top shelf guest service. a wonderful experience!

Comfortable cosy and spacious room, nice food and helpful staff. Location perfect for visiting local nature reserves.

Thought we could use the private car park but it was small and already full; however the square opposite had ample free parking (we stayed on a Saturday).

Nice looking building. Clean. Comfy beds. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Just a shame that breakfast isn't available as there is no where in the area where you can get breakfast.
