Great building with bags of character. My room was cosy with good facilities. Unfortunately the drains in my bathroom were smelling so I informed reception who came straight up with the maintenance man. They were very apologetic and upgraded me immediately to an even better room! Fantastic service and response, why can't all hotels treat their guests like this. Absolutely brilliant. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. 5 stars!

Over an 1 hour 30 to be served our evening meal at restaurant. Servers should have checked in with us to explain wait or even offer comp glass of wine for exceedingly long wait

The room was lovely and the whole building. The breakfast was great. It was very central.

We should have been told on checking in that we needed to register our car, as we will now be receiving a £100 parking fine which we will have to contest, as we didn't see the notice in the car park. A large notice at reception would be useful.

If you want out of the ordinary...quirky...unique...beautiful setting...great food...pleasant room in lovely village then the Priory is for you. This is matched with unique staff who seem genuinely interested in ensuring your stay is exceeding your expectations. Louis was a true gentleman his care was evident. The restaurant managers were on the ball and very friendly...the catering staff were skilled, watching them fillet a full fish from a salt cooking was fantastic.

Service as in all hotels these days was a little spotty...it feels everywhere I stay theses days the staff are thin on the ground so you can actually see their frustration....but in all honesty there was always curtosey and some very genuine smiles.

The hotel completely exceeded our expectations. Given the price I paid, I was only expecting a clean room, but I was blown away by much more. Having stayed in disappointing accommodations in the past, I didn't expect to be wowed—but this hotel was stunning. The restaurant and bar created a perfect atmosphere, and the cocktails were fantastic. When I entered our room, I was absolutely amazed. The furnishings were elegant, and the decor was tasteful and stylish. To top it off, there was a gorgeous bath positioned at the end of the bed. The view from our room was also breathtaking. I can't recommend this hotel enough, and I've already shared the details with everyone I know. I'll definitely be returning for another stay!

WOAW!!!! What an exceptional place to stay for one night!!! Everything top notch and exactly as described. Staff went above and beyond to make a guest feel welcomed from check-in until check-out. Continental Breakfast was available as well as a variety of „À la carte“ full cooked breakfasts as well. Being mobility impaired, I highly appreciated the support of the staff helping me with my luggage upon arrival and departure. The room was very spacious, clean, with lots of nice amenities and touches. Loved staying here and if I ever come back near Cardiff, I will definitely stay at „The Priory“ again!!! Highly recommended!!!

The welcome with a glass of cava was delightful. Our room was in the Stables, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The choice of coffees and teas for the machine and a delightful Spanish chocolate were wonderful. There were even sachets of oat milk as well as dairy. The comfortable chairs with reading lights were super. There was a small garden leading from the French doors which the biblical rain meant we couldn’t use. The bathroom had the most delightful toiletries which were also on sale in the bodega next to reception. The bed was very comfortable with good quality linens. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and had a fabulous breakfast with superb quality produce. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was well decorated and a good mix of traditional Priory and tasteful Spanish decor. We loved it.

The floors were terrifyingly slippery. I use crutches to walk and risked falling. The member of staff I mentioned it to said they often slipped on the floors too so the problem is known about. I think the beautiful floor board type surfaces were dressed with something unsuitable. Other than that there was nothing to dislike. 😊

Nice spacious recently refurbished rooms with comfortable seating for 2 with good quality furnishings. Dining is always an experience here and the staff are super. Breakfast excellent with something for everyone I would think.

We stayed inside the main building this time and I am not very good at stairs these days. There is no lift. The staircase is very nice though. We have stayed previously but in a ground floor outside room if this is a problem. Whilst the room was excellent the bed was not the most comfortable rather too firm for my taste and with springs which could be both felt and heard.

We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade on check-in so ended up in one of the cottages which was really lovely. Very comfortable and stylish room with a little garden. I wish we’d had more than one night to enjoy it! Really relaxing setting, beautiful old building. Loved the bar area and breakfast was brilliant.

I was particularly looking forward to dinner having followed on social media for some time, but we were unfortunately a little disappointed with the quality of the food. Some good flavours and ideas, but the basque cheesecake was split and some ingredients needed more love considering the price tag.

Possibly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at! The entire experience was nothing short of incredible. All 3 of our rooms were upgraded free of charge, the receptionist served us with a lovely glass of champagne each on arrival and overall the whole team could not be more helpful! The grounds are stunning, with a lovely outdoor area where you can enjoy food and drinks. The allocated rooms were also lovely, very spacious and comfortable. The staff organised multiple taxi rides for us (party of 5), arranged restaurant bookings and done it all with a genuine smile and the most welcoming attitude. The absolute highlight of our stay was the onsite restaurant, the menu selection is impressive, the food is fresh and delicious! We would definitely recommend it for both relaxed dining as well as celebration dinners. Thank you so much all for your hospitality!
