Warwick Conferences - Scarman

Comfortable room. TV had a good choice of channels. Nice large shower area. Loved access to the coffee and biscuits in bar lounge area. It was nice to be able to sit there and chat over couple of coffees. All staff were helpful and friendly. Noisy conference group having evening meal so allowed us to move to lounge to eat pudding so we could hear ourselves talking. Breakfast had good range of choice for both hot and cold options.

Had evening meal, food was ok but not fabulous. Deserts were nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the lift to 1st floor broke late on Saturday and a friend had visual impairment and found stairs difficult for Sunday and Monday.

The room was very clean and it looks to be recently refurbished from the older out-dated design from when I had stayed last year. The bathroom was very clean and well furbished, there is a lot of desk space and you can screen mirror to the TV from your laptop/phone to watch stuff on a big screen. There are also a decent amount of plugs to charge devices and a lot of cupboard space.

I had used the spoon to eat with since I hadn't been given utensils from the restaurant I had ordered from and it was obivous the spoon wasn't cleaned the next day but it had just been tried to wipe down, but there was still food left over on it. The gym access was for the warwick uni gym which is quite small and exceptionally busy and a 10 min walk away.

The room was better than many hotel rooms I have stayed in. Everything was really clean with lots of thought to detail. We came to Warwick campus to see a band at the Warwick arts centre and it was an easy walk back to the accommodation. We had a bit of a late night and played ping-pong till two in the morning. We tried to be quiet at the same time as having fun. Not only did your staff not tell us off but they provided us with a couple more ping pong balls. Very grateful and I hope we didn't disturb anyone. The next morning we were amazed to find the coffee and pastry facilities, it was so welcome and such a lovely place to relax in the morning to say goodbye to friends before driving home.

We chose this hotel for its locality to the university our son attends. I must say, having apprehensions about a place we hadn't visited before, we obviously didn't know what to expect. This soon changed as we walked through the door. We immediately felt welcome, the staff were very obliging and very professional, I like that. The room was compact but very well presented and very clean. My only concern was that, as a large complex, it was quite a walk with baggage to get to our room even using lifts to get to the second floor. The room also has a very up to date TV / entertainment system with many available channels and would accommodate most common devices if needed for streaming. Comfortable bar area with a very relaxed atmosphere. Quality food readily available, but limited menu options. Room service available until 10pm. Great breakfast options, spoiled for choice. Overall, a fantastic venue and would highly recommend.

Nothing, apart from a family who were clearly lost at 8am outside our room having a domestic argument as their child only wanted was a drink of water, whilst being very vocal about the issue.

Our visit was exceptional. I phoned before arrival with a question and was impressed by the friendly helpful receptionist. We were very warmly welcomed on arrival and all staff including housekeeping and breakfast room were professional, smiley and positive. The room was really comfortable, clean and well fitted out with great smart TV, power and USB sockets (including USB-C), heating control and tea making facilities. The bar and breakfast room were modern and airy with extensive delicious choices with outdoor seating areas for warmer days. Excellent value for money in a super beautifully landscaped and laid out campus location. We very much look forward to returning when the opportunity arises.

The staff were very nice and efficient and was glad to be put in a room not too far from the main door as we had a lot of luggage.

As a twin room, there really should be two luggage racks. It would have also been good if there was somewhere on the right as you walk through the door to hang your coat/handbags. There's a huge space that just needs a few hooks. The room would also benefit from some USB plugs for chargers or at the very least a plug socket next to the bed. There was one but it was set so close to the floor that the plug with the cable wouldn't fit.

The rooms were really nice and the bar was nice and cosy with good selection of drinks.

The breakfast was appalling. The worst hot self service breakfast we've ever had. Sausages weren't meaty, scrambled eggs tasted like milk and mushy boiled egg. The bacon had no flavour. The pastries were hard on the bottom as if they'd been in a microwave. There were floating bits in the coffee, no idea what it was, but not drinkable. Good selection of fruits though and the coffee from the coffee machines were good. Staff were really good.

The room was amazing. Super comfortable, clean and useful for what I needed to (prepare for a Conference). The fact that it is inside Warwick University is great because it is just more easy and comfortable when travelling for work. Overall, highly recommend for work travels!

The only thing that I thought it was going to be better was breakfast. Though it was good, I was hoping for a continental breakfast and on display there was only some muffins and fruits. Again, I was on a rush so maybe I was just in the wrong spot and did not get to experience the real breakfast, because reviews of it had been great from what I previously read.

What an amazing surprise! I had expected just a simple convenient hotel as I had business at Warwick University just across the road. However, I was incredibly surprised at the overall experience - the value, comfort, and super well fitted out room. In fact I was offered an upgrade and the room with a balcony, bath, king bed and Nespresso machine was fantastic! Add to that a pillow menu and a delicious and varied breakfast included for the price and honestly it’s the best value I’ve had in a hotel for longer than I can remember!

There was construction work going on upstairs and the builders were supposed to start at 10 but they started a couple of hours earlier. However a huge shout out to the wonderful duty manager (I’m so sorry I didn’t get her name but my stay was the night of the 2nd) as she handled it immediately and efficiently and resolved any possible negative repercussions! But in the context of my overall stay this was a small negative.

The room was a good size, with a lovely, large and comfortable bed. There was a pillow menu if we required it. The room was well stocked having the basics like tea/coffee etc and ironing board but also extras like a fan which was a bonus. The bathroom was clean, the shower good. The room was quiet. The facilities downstairs in the lounge area were great - unlimited tea/coffee and THE BEST hot chocolate I've ever had out of a machine, plus pastries and fruit.
