The Swan Hotel is an old qwirky hotel in the very beautiful village of Whalley. The hotel is central to the shops, bars and coffee shops in the village. The staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them. Brekfast was huge, freshly cooked to order and delicious 😋

There was nothing that I didn't like, however, the stairs were steep. Our room, The Pendle Suite, was chilly. It has huge windows which are lovely but allowed a lot of heat to escape. The radiator in the bathroom didn't work. Neither of these caused us to enjoy our stay any less. It's an old building, it's gonna be draughty

Extremely comfortable and stylish rooms, great location and the full English breakfast was excellent!

For the price paid we cannot complain - really good value for money considering the location, parking available free of charge and a very large full English breakfast, tea and fresh juice available. If I had to be critical, my only gripe would be the showers not being very powerful. Not a big deal but anyone with long hair needs to just allow more time really and the main thing however is the constant supply of hot water.

Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and very generous too! In a great location with a pizza place across the way, surrounded by pubs and entertainment at the swan excellent.

Although the room was clean it was very dated with wall paper peeling from the wall and shower doors falling off. Location fantastic but very loud until early hours (incase anyone goes with children who don't sleep well with noise).

We had a brilliant time. The staff were lovely and the food was good. The room was cosy and clean. It wasn't overpriced either. There was a band on, on New year's eve and they were excellent. The atmosphere was great too. We were taken outside to sing Auld Lang Syne at midnight with the locals. All in all we had a blast.

Only a couple of moans. There was a bright light above our bedroom window and the room was too light for me. I would advise you to take a sleep mask. There was a lot of traffic noise and noise from people leaving the pubs..

The staff were lovely, very friendly. We had 3 rooms, all were large and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at a B&B

The only problem for us were the stairs up to the rooms, my daughter has walking difficulties, the stairs were a bit of an issue for us. This is a lovely old building, I should have enquired if the hotel was suitable for people with mobility issues. I would recommend the hotel to anybody else.

Once we got to The Swan, it was easy to check in and the room was exceptionally large and very comfortable. Breakfast was good, a small selection of cereals, 3 juices to choose from, fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast, coffee/tea was made specifically for you. Good service from the staff. Our room was directly over the bar so it was quite noisy until it was closing time (would expect this anyway but thought I’d mention it) but once the doors closed it was really quiet considering it’s on a pretty main road through Whalley.

We phoned the hotel to confirm our stay and say that we may be late as we were attending a wedding nearby but the hotel has changed its phone number and it hasn’t been changed on the website etc. it is also no longer part of the Vixen Group who we kept being put through to.

All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, Nothing too much trouble. We ate in the pub and our evening meal was delicious. Breakfast too was excellent. Our room was spacious, well equipped, and a very comfortable bed.

Our room was over the bar area, where the Tyson Fury fight was being shown, so it was noisy till after midnight, meaning we didn't get a great night's sleep.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were adequate and it was very clean. I was very satisfied with my short stay and would recommend the hotel without hesitation.

The only thing l can say is, that you would be better to make it very clear that the hotel is Whalley Clitheroe. I was taken to the wrong hotel and so was the person who l was booked in the hotel with, but separately, had the same problem. There is also a Kings street in Clitheroe.

Service was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable room and spacious and user friendly bathroom. Very clean. Good food. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there and have no hesitation in recommending The Swan Hotel or returning.

The on line breakfast menu was not available. Breakfast was tasty and well cooked but not enough variety if you didn't want a cooked breakfast.

Very well kept and spacious room and bathroom. Spotlessly clean and uncluttered, and a big, comfortable bed. Surprisingly big bathroom as well.

My only comment here is about communication. We had to ask our taxi driver how to get back into the hotel when we returned late - it wasn't clear if we should be using the front door or one of the rear doors. Not a huge issue (it didn't take long to work out) but it would have been useful to know rather than having to see which doors actually had a keyhole to try. When we did find the right door, it did have a "residents' entrance" sign, but this wasn't visible in the dark.
