welcoming, nice breakfast, good choice of evening meals
There was nowhere to escape the dreadful and over loud music in the bar area, we could even hear it coming through the floor in our room! Our room needed the bathroom door lock fixing, the sash window repairing/replacing and there was no toilet brush and no anti slip mat for inside the shower.

The location was just right for us. We needed to travel up to Whitehaven and the hotel is literally 500 yards up the road from the train station. The hotel has it's own car park which is a bonus. All the staff were fantastic and very friendly couldn't ask for more & the food served in the hotel was exceptional.
The only fault I could find was the mattress on the bed it wasn't very comfy. I do prefer a firmer mattress so this could be me being a little picky.

The property was just a short walk from the train station, however for drivers there is a large car park. We entered the bar area and welcomed in and taken to our room, had the usual complementary stuff, but the teas and coffees were fairly local, and nice, large shower. We had an evening meal excellent and breakfast also excellent, we enjoyed an evening walk around St Bees really enjoyed
Nothing it met all our needs clean and pleasant great staff.

Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff who would do anything to help. Nothing seemed too much for them. Beds were really comfortable. Unlike other places I have stayed the tea making facilities in the room were good and didnt taste as if the tea bags and coffee had been sitting for months.
The only thing I didnt like was the early closing where we were forced to walk all they way around the building to enter by the back door. Although this access is ok for folk driving and parking it is not so good for folk with mobility issues with most of the access being uphill.

The breakfast was just the right size and well cooked. Our room was small and there wasn’t much room to open up our suitcase but it was clean and there was a good range of teas and coffees and lovely biscuits. It was a bit noisy from the bar and restaurant but quickly quietened down at closing time. It was an also little too warm. Overall though a great place to stay and we had a good meal and a drink in the garden - what could be better!

Generally good standard, despite cooked breakfast order missing black pudding. Restaurant food on a par with most pub style menus, however, some brewery chains offer discount on dining to residents.
Nicola didn't reply to my query via the app requesting further clarity about parking, since the Booking.com description indicated reservation not possible and a quick view on Google maps indicated double yellow lines either side of this busy B route. Also the property has been refurbished to a high standard, but in the process Room 9, and quite possibly other rooms have received an annoyingly green Emergency Light in the process. Glowing green in early hours may add some excitement during Halloween, but buildings regs don't require this level of cover to be compliant.

A lovely friendly atmosphere, staff could not be more helpful. The breakfast was to die for, set you up for the day. Evening meals were excellent, good choice and very reasonably priced. As this was a pub and a hotel there was always a very friendly crowd of people. To sum up, if you want somewhere to stay near Whitehaven this is it.

The Manor Inn is a lovely busy pub in a nice area, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention for Nicola who served breakfast who was very sociable and couldn't do enough to help, she really made the atmosphere at breakfast all the better. The breakfast had plenty of choice with top quality items and the cooked breakfast was definitely a 10/10.

The bathroom in our room was a little dated but the facilities were clean and comfortable.

Breakfast really nice, location was ok, nice walk to the beach, only 2 pubs in the village.
we had 4 bikes, there was an outhouse we stored them in but the door did not close and there was no lock. not an intentional complaint but maybe think about catering for customers who maybe doing the c2c cycle route nearby.
