When we arrived the staff were so friendly and very helpful , nothing was too much trouble . The room was lovely everything we needed was on tap, beds lovely and comfortable and spotless. The manager Jonny was such a friendly guy we sat later in the bar enjoying the chillness of it all and had great conversation with him , we felt like we had known him for years. Breakfast was absolutely 10/10 😋 we wouldn't hesitate to go back and would definitely recommend 👌Thankyou all for looking after us 😊

We never disliked anything

the whole place was recently done up, so it was all clean and aesthetically pleasing, the bedroom was a really good size same with the bathroom. and the breakfast was really good too would definitely come again

only little things, like a shelf or something like that in the bathroom, so that one can put the products somewhere, and maybe a hook at the back of the door. PS: Next time I would use a different bedroom, not the one facing the road.

Booked night-before when hiking the Coast to Coast to get out of the rain. Spacious clean room, comfy bed, and good noise levels despite the road outside (I always bring earplugs anyway). Also were able to provide a complete cooked vegan breakfast, which was well enjoyed

Breakfast was lovely, Evening meal was great and lots of variety. Staff really friendly.

Room was advertised at a superior triple room, 1 bed was a fold away low bed, not as advertised. Not really big enough for 3 people, bathroom on the small size for a family.

The location was great to explore parts of the lake district. The food was fabulous, we had a main meal on 1st night and breakfast on 2 mornings, all tasted great and cooked to perfection. Room was comfortable The staff couldn't be more helpful, very friendly and would definitely go again.

It's not that we didn't like it but our room could do with a slight freshen up. Black marks above window and crack on wall near headboard. Nothing major.

Lovely clean comfortable rooms. Fabulous food. Good atmosphere. Nice location.

A little disorganised. We had 2 double rooms booked Rooms and payments were mixed up but this was resolved on returning home and contacting the hotel. Friends arrived first and did not feel welcomed by staff who seemed very young and very busy. However, once settled in staff were later friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

The breakfast was plentiful and cooked to order. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location for the wsetern Lakes. Evening meal available on request and good range of food

in the late evening there was some traffic noise at the from of the hotel and noise from the kitchen fans to the rear of the hotel, but the fans were turned off when cooking had finished and the traffic noise was not great

Staff here were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts and evening meals we had were excellent. We booked for two nights and stayed for three.

Cosy little hotel with good access and free parking. Staff were great and extremely helpful throughout the stay. Room and facilities were clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and had breakfast the following morning, which was good quality and generous portions (our 18 month old was in her element with her giant kids meal!).

Only quibble would be that the curtains were very thin, so room got quite light early in the morning. Some blackouts would be helpful.

the breakfast was great the location s optimal and the hotelier Andrew couldnt do enough for me , he went out of his way to help me . Outstanding value and very much impressed with the whole experiance of useing this hotel while walking coast to coast . thank you Andy Merrick

there was nothing i didnt like was a fantastic experiance , very clean the bed was very comfortable best sleep ive had in ages
