Comfort, rooms are clean and tidy, no issues at all. The lady kept the kitchen open late so that we could eat in the hotel, food was lovely. The staff kindly gave us a breakfast to take away on the Sat morning as we needed to leave sharpish.

Only issue I could really criticise is that we couldn't access our bikes until 8am the following morning as staff were not present to unlock room where the bikes were kept. We were due to leave at 6am but had to change plans. The hotel previously had a bike lock up so I didn't give it a thought to ask the question beforehand (my fault) This is something I feel people need to be aware of. Groups cycling c2c etc who may want to leave the hotel early morning should look to plan this around their travel.

Only stayed one night en route to Scotland. Nice clean hotel, family room was huge! Bed was comfy, plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Bar prices were very reasonable. Breakfast was fantastic, especially since I didn't realise it was included in the price. Bathroom was way above my expectations for a hotel. The toilets in reception were impeccable! (I judge a lot on an establishment by the cleanliness of toilets, and these were fantastically clean) The staff were friendly and approachable. If we come this way again we'd definitely look to book here first.

A minor concern initially was we could hear people in rooms when in the corridors, although when in our room we didn't hear others. Only 1 window in our room had the ability to open. We thought that we'd get too warm, but fortunately we didn't.

Room was spacious and airy, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and served promptly with a exceptional choice.

Evening meal in the restaraunt was pricey and very bland. Steak was ordered well done, but was pink in the middle. Onion rings could have done with a bit longer in the frier they were pale and not particularly crispy. Seabass in Dill Sauce with veg, this was a little confusing as we were offered chips or rice ? opted for chips and was confused by the choice of veg served with a fish dish, carrots and cauliflower ? neither of which was seasoned or particularly well cooked.

First time stating here although I stay in the area a few times a month for work. Overall I’m impressed, I’ve stayed in many hotels for work and most of the larger independents like this one are tired, this one was not, all areas I saw were modern and clean, the grounds and garden were immaculate, ample parking, bed comfortable, etc As I was leaving before breakfast started the receptionist arranged a pack lunch for me for the filling day. Really good service.

Honestly, nothing really, the room was hot but that’s not a fault of the hotel, it was 19c outside when I left at 7am.

The staff were great, really friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic and very tasty. Rooms were smallish but you're only sleeping in them so nothing to complain about with everything you need. Tea, coffee and biscuits topped up every day, you don't get that everywhere. Would we return? Yes we would

I can't say I disliked anything about the hotel. There are parts that are a bit tired but it's a constant turn around so where do you find the time to keep the place fully maintained

Lovely night away staying at the chase with my family, staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and tidy. The breakfast was nice and tasty and the bar was also very good. Would definitely come back

The rooms we had felt a bit old fashioned and the light kept turning off in the bathroom after about 30 seconds, not a big deal just a bit annoying when trying to shower, I think the have a newer section of the hotel so would have liked to stay in that part to see what it was like,( I might be wrong )

Has the standard of a Premier Inn with extra touches like breakfast included, daily room clean, friendly local staff, really well stocked room refreshments. Very good cooked breakfast. Excellent evening meals. I had the roast, so welcome after walking in the mountains nearby. Very pretty, well maintained garden too. Chase Hotel reminds me of a proudly well-run family hotel from years ago combined with all the modern standards we have become accustomed to with good holiday chain brands.

Shower pressure bit weak. Nothing else!

I really like the great customer service, when arrived 9pm at night we were greeted by a lovely lady at the front desk she was very friendly and welcoming and helpful. The next day when we went for breakfast we were greeted by Emma she served our breakfast with a very friendly attitude. When we were going out for the day we told her we are going on the boats she even called the boat company to get information for us. We pleased with the service.

Beautiful terrace on a sunny May day, ideal seating out area with bar on hand. Very good meeting place. Walking distance of town centre, plenty of parking. Big breakfast, rooms comfy, clean and a bath big enough to lie down in. Friendly staff

What felt like very early in the morning a party of cyclists decided to spend a lot of time chattering before they eventually set off, so if room overlooks car park you will probably be disturbed by others.

Lovely hotel, room sizes are good. Breakfast is nice, cooked or cereal.

The bar staff like to put a music channel on the television in the bar and then go and sit in reception. Most of the guests are over 50 and just want a quiet drink, not music videos featuring under 20’s making out etc. Also, the bar closes at 11pm, even for guests, apparently for licensing reasons. This cannot be true. The hot water in the hotel was scalding, other guests said this as well.
