Presentation of the hotel was excellent, its very clean and tidy, all the staff where excellent. We needed a taxi and one was sorted straight away, breakfast was great, sausages in particular were stand out. Anything required met our expectations and even with the below grumbles i would definitely come back
Few niggles with the room, i was in Room 30 i believe, cut my hand on the bathroom mirror, had been knocked so one side was rough which i caught my hand on it. The lower plug socket by the mirrors didn't work, so when i plugged the iron in it didn't work, also the iron was missing the cap that holds the water in so i had cold water on a creasedd top, not a good look

Very comfortable room, good shower & liked the lightened up mirrors added that boutique feeling which was good. I was in Room 5 1st floor. Bar very nice restaurant, gutted I couldn't join the ABBA night in your function room last night haha.
Well kind of both on this one, because I pre checked in paid for room cash, which was fine, nice receptionist, but went up to room and still making up room just after 2:30-3pm. But eventually room sorted and okay. Then, not much that can be done, but some sort of extractor fan kept running all day up to 10pm and couldn't really open windows. It's probably the kitchens which I suppose they need. I used to own a hotel believe me Ive had critesisums galore. This doesn't mean I'll not come again I will but different room next time.

Proximity to local amenities such as cafés, shops and restaurants as well as Waitrose and rail station. Also good for walking routes but trainers with grips needed on muddy paths as well as the OS app to navigate paths writhing and around the village. Close to both Derbyshire for Buxton and Chatsworth as well as going east to Chester and Wales. Also a good venue to meet friends and relatives or for functions. The secret garden out back is a lovely private space where one can sit out and relax with a drink.

From checking in with the friendly staff and heading to our gorgeous boutique room with excellent facilities such as tea/coffee making / light up mirror / flatscreen tv and super comfy bed we were super happy ! The bar and restaurant area is gorgeous and perfect for some afternoon bar snacks.. really close to town also - would say a 5 min walk at best. Breakfast the next day I would highly recommend - made to order items and hot/cold variety with all drinks included too. Cannot fault this hotel at all. Cannot wait to stay here again ! 🤩
Nothing to say that I didn’t like.

Beautiful building. Lovely decor in rooms and extremely tidy.
The walls were SO thin. Trying to get to sleep with someone drying their hair in the room next to us at 11.52pm was not ideal.. Room doors also very heavy so heard a lot of them slamming shut late at night too. Unfortunately there was a very very drunk couple at the bar when we arrived back after dinner who were still being served alcohol by the bar staff. We wanted to enjoy a quiet drink before heading to bed but didn’t enjoy it as they were laughing, joking & playing extremely loud music on their phones with the bar staff!

The receptionist that evening had exceptional hospitality skills. So polite, professional and such as positive attitude!! We arrived very late after the funeral for the overnight stay and flying out from the Manchester airport the next afternoon. We got a beautiful room at the very very end of the corridor. It had beautiful prints on the walls of lemurs, spacious bed, modern coffee machine, bathrobes and the bathtub was massive! Everyone from the restaurant to the housekeeping staff was nothing but welcoming and polite!!! Vegan breakfast, coffee and mimosa were also incredibly nice! 10 out of 10 for everything!!
Absolutely nothing

we had a garden view room, it was on the mall size but ideal apart from that. the staff were outstanding and Jaz who has not long started there even helped my wife curl her hair on sunday as we couldn't book anyone to come to her for us attending a wedding that day. We had a lovely diner in the restaurant on the saturday night, enjoyed the secret garden which is lovely. reception ordered us our taxi, can't speak more highly of all the staff.

The staff at the Alderley Edge are fantastic, every single one of them are down to earth kind and could not do enough for you. Id recommended the stay just on the staff alone. The grounds are beautiful. The restaurant and bar are very pleasant and not overly priced.
The beds are like concrete, I have never had a worse nights sleep on a bed in my life. The room was clean mostly, but the fridge was filthy and parts of the bathroom had not been cleaned properly. The lamp in my room was held together with tape (I mean come on replace the lamp that’s just ridiculous) The room for the price you pay is just okay, it’s nothing to write home about.

The staff were wonderful and very welcoming. The meals were good and well presented. I liked that I was able to take my dog, and although not permitted in the dining room, we were seated in the very comfortable lounge for my meals.
The bedroom furniture was very old and worn, and my bed was particularly uncomfortable. It was badly made up. Sheets were wrinkled and not tucked in at the bottom, so I had to remove the duvet in order to tidy it up, but I was unable to smooth the very lumpy mattress. Refurbishment is in progress, so hopefully, things will be much improved if I stay there again.

The breakfast was excellent and there was lots of continental and hot options. I normally find hotel breakfasts can be dingey but the Alderley Edge Hotel was wonderful. The room was bright and gorgeously decorated also. Hotel room refurbs are lovely and the rooms are a great size. Staff are super helpful. They even accommodated a ‘happy birthday’ request for my mum with a few treats and confetti style pieces on the bed.
You can sometimes hear people in the corridor in the earlier evening but nothing too disruptive and didn’t hear a sound through the night.
