on arrival, I checked in at the bar, one of the staff then kindly showed me to the accommodation which was a couple of houses down. the property was an old police station. The rooms were beautifully decorated and extremely clean. great shower. They supplied bottled water next to the bed with lovely glasses to drink from. great tea and coffee facilities in the room too. The bed was so comfortable. I went to have dinner in the bar/restaurant and was met by super friendly staff. The menu was fantastic and good amazing. The locals were also very friendly and made my evening as I was there alone for work. Inwoild definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

There wasn’t one single thing

The pub/hotel is located on the left hand side of the A379 going away from Plymouth just before the petrol station. Check in from 15.00hrs. Free parking on site. The room was located in the ex police station building a little farther on. It was comfortable, with free wifi. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food both in the evening and breakfast was excellent. Breakfast is from 07.30am.

Nothing really, other than the room was in a separate building, so had to go out in the rain to get my breakfast. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again, if in the area.

The bar and restaurant staff are the main asset to this hotel. plenty of parking on site. good restaurant. nice room and bathroom.

I stayed in a ground floor room next to to the front door, there was some sort of high pitched mechanical noise maybe from a generator or electrical Transformer, I couldn’t work out where the noice was coming from but it was from inside the building. This would put me off staying again unless I had confirmation from the hotel the this issue was resolved.

nice and clean ,nice pub and great food,big shout out to Ryan for rustling up some food after we arrived slightly late,very helpful and made us feel very welcome,could do with more Ryan’s in the company 👍

not much really,although one slight niggle was lack of fruit at breakfast time,when I say lack of fruit I mean none,not fresh fruit anyway,but in fairness the cooked breakfast was excellent.

Location, vibe, good staff, easy parking. Nice size room in a lovely period building. Nice selection of local ales in the pub, with good food. Friendly and welcoming staff that are obviously trained in hospitality.

Would suit us better if the pub had more ‘pub’ type space than ‘table/eating’ space. But that’s just what we prefer if you just want a drink.

Comfortable clean room and bed. In house separate to pub itself, so reasonably quiet. Useful location for either Plymouth or coast. Helpful and friendly staff. Plenty parking, with some spaces marked for residents only.

The shower was idiosyncratic, to say the least. Needs updating. Had to call manager in order to stop the water! The room was overlooking the busy A379 so noisy early morning especially - needs better window dg./sound insulation for price paid.

Really lovely place. Staff very welcoming, large car park at the back of the property. Room was huge, warm, lovely decor and massive bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower. Brilliant shower pressure with lovely Elemis products. Comfy bed and lovely lined. Ordered food at the bar and they wrapped up in foil so I could take to my room. Very accommodating in every aspect. Absolutely lovely place and outside the badly behaved contractors making enough noise to wake the hounds of hell, I was very pleased with everything.

My only negative (which has nothing to do with the hotel) was other guests staying in the hotel. No consideration to others, the noise was horrendous and constantly going from room to room throughout the night and allowing the door to slam every time, they behaved like children on a school trip which left me sleep deprived. Again, this was out of the control of the hotel and I suppose doesn't warrant a comment, only if you're sensitive to noise bring headphones

Meals were lovely, the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were really helpful, attentive and professional in their approach. Overall excellent quality.

I'd have liked to have been able to use the wifi, as I don't have facebook or twitter I was left with the brewery wifi which wouldn't let me access the terms and conditions before accepting them. As a result I didn't use it at all.

Lovely room, very comfy bed with beautiful high quality linen, thick fluffy towels and a coffee machine. The bathroom was large, good shower, Elemis toiletries and a very nice deep bath. I ate in the hotel for two nights and the food was excellent. All the staff were friendly and very efficient.

The room warm clean & very comfortable, staff excellent, breakfast the best we have had the full english a must, we booked the restaurant for an evening meal also excellent. We had room 6 facing the main road was initially a concern but road after 11pm quiet, we visited local areas Wembury, Noss Mayo both a must see, we ate at the Swan in Noss Mayo overlooking Yealm Estuary, view lovely, food good only minutes (15) away from Rose & Crown, parking at the hotel, a lovely stay.

Nothing really, just the shower needed to be turned fully on to get hot water & the shower only had a over head spray unit.
