Embassy Suites Huntsville

Embassy Suites brand is always a good choice. The location was great for going to a theater performance at the Von Braun Center. Excellent breakfast.

Check in was a pain! Apparently, if you prepay through Booking.com the hotel doesn’t get paid directly or immediately. They had our room reservations, but could not issue a room key until the hotel gets some kind of verification code. It took several minutes to get the situation resolved. I will never prepay for a room through Booking again; which means I cannot take advantage of the savings offered.

The place was nice, clean and inviting. Great location for downtown access.

Transparency in cost. I booked at $176 but was charged $225 at arrival... When I asked the guest service agent at check-in I was told there was a $50 incident fee refundable with no damages. When checking my bank, I have no refund for the $50 fee and it is 2 parts payment of $207 and a $17 charge. I've been in the hotel industry, this is not right. The room fee of $176 should have been charged and a separate hold for $50 should have been made. I feel like I have been scammed of $50. I definitely will not go back.

What can I say! The staff at this hotel hark from an era that I thought was long gone - with excellent customer service from start to finish. It's as simple as a smile, not getting flustered when I asked to move rooms, letting us have a late checkout last min with no issues, along with many many more little details that make such a huge difference. Nothing seemed to be an issue and the staff seem to take pride in their work and enjoy it. The main lobby area is really lovely. There's a nice looking restaurant (which we didn't try because, well, kids), and the main breakfast area. I loved the general layout of the whole hotel. It reminded me a little of Vegas, in a good way. The kids loved riding up and down the glass elevator. They loved the pool which we had entirely to ourselves both times we used it. The breakfast was impeccable - lots to choose from and the made to order omelettes were top notch according to my husband, who had two every morning! The staff there will clean your table and help you with anything you need without being too imposing. There was a lady working there one morning that came and gave my kids some free cookies (after asking me if that was okay) which was a lovely gesture. I think this is the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. I think this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in! Then there's the evening drinks and snacks - the snacks included fresh fruit and veggies as well as pretzels, chips and dips, etc and even though it's meant to be one free drink, the bar guy said it was a slow night so let us have a couple more! It's obvious to me that whoever is managing this place looks after their staff and in turn, staff morale seems high and they pass this feeling onto the customers. As I said earlier, it doesn't feel like there are many places like this any more which made it all the more amazing.

If I had to find anything, and I'm really nitpicking here, then I would say the rooms could do with a little bit of updating but I thought it was fantastic and will definitely stay again.

The proximity to the Von Braun Center is perfect. We took a girls trip to see the Huntsville Havoc hockey team. I was so glad to see that the hotel was connected to the Von Braun Center. With it being night time, I was grateful to have a well lit, indoor walkway to the event. We had recently visited the same hotel in March 2022, and they were doing renovations. When we arrived this weekend (October 2022) the new area looked amazing. They did a great job on the renovation.

It's not even a thing of not liking it, if I had to complain at all, it would be that the rooms need to update their color scheme. But again, that's no big deal. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. Even the couch in the living area was comfortable. Like I said, it's not bad at all, just if I had to complain about something, a new color scheme would totally make this hotel perfect.

The staff was so friendly and helpful! The food was good, specially the omelet bar. The hotel itself was gorgeous and our room was so very clean and spacious. Definitely worth the value. Not to mention my daughter left some important medicine in the room and they stopped everything right then when she called to go see if they could track it down. Which they did!!!! The whole experience from getting there to even coming back home and having to reach out to them was excellent. The gentleman at the complimentary bar was so wonderful so cheerful and made the best drinks ever!! Highly highly recommend this place to anyone. The location was just right in walking distance to so many things! My daughter is getting prepared to go to UAH - the reason for our trip and I couldn't be more sure of a town I'd love for her to be in!

There was nothing about our trip we didn't like except for having to leave and come home!

I've stayed at this hotel 7 times. I love the location, also the breakfast and drink reception each night is really good. The grounds outside the hotel are beautiful. The skywalk to all the venues at the Vaughn Braun center are also great. I will be back.

They carpet thruout the hotel needs to be replaced.

Very spacious rooms, with everything you would want when on a trip. The bed was very big and comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful (we got the room with slightly malfunctioning faucet, they changed the rooms for us immediately). The hotel has all you need, and has a cool lobby overlooking all the rooms (like an internal atrium of a sort). Location very near the downtown, a nice walk near some ponds and fountains.

You could see that the hotel is not brand new (materials and that distinct "used" scent). However, they were in the process of the complete overhaul of the whole hotel. The breakfast was limited in choice, however, I also believe it was due to works at that time (make shift kitchen due to remodeling). One thing that bothered me a bit was that the room didn't have a darkening shades in the sleeping part.

the new restaurant is really good. try the apple drink. the breakfast was good, but the layout has some kinks to still be worked out. and ofcourse, the coffee from the convenience store, as always, was completely top notch.

had to fight to get the room that we actually booked, this time around. also didn't get our "kit" when we checked in (bottled water, snacks, etc). it was not the level of service that i've come to expect, but this was also a last minute trip, so i didn't hold that against them.

The property is in a great location in Huntsville. right by the downtown center, so it was easy to do things there with my family. It was also close to the main road for us to get on to head back to where we had come from easily. The staff were all wonderful. As someone who has worked in hospitality for many years, I love seeing people that understand what working in a hotel entails. Very friendly, cared about the guests and took pride in their property.

All was great so nothing to complain about

That it was downtown, in a beautiful area. That it had sitting area in rooms. Complementary evening happy hour for drinks, though we don't drink. Hot breakfast each morning, my favorite 😍 bacon both days of our stay. Great view from the 10th floor. Felt safe.

Construction/ renovation,of the main area. Will be beautiful after it is done. Wish we could have experienced the beauty. However they were awesome in accommodating the guest to provide a great breakfast each day. Rooms can be updated some, carpet had spots, like all throughout. A little mildew around hand rail in shower. Still had a great stay. A little on the dark side. Need more overhead lights, though they had plenty lamps all over the rooms.
