Friendly, staff. Retrieved our bags from taxi, recommended places to eat, very helpful. The included breakfast was just right in the amount and choices. Black out curtains very effective.

My only problem was with the high tech coffee maker. We had never used this type before and there were no instructions.

Location was great. Walkable to center of town no problem. Safe. Security on site. The hotel is still under construction so there is no restaurant on site, but they have some simple grab and go options for breakfast. There is free water, coffee, and tea in the lobby. Beds were comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Check in was smooth. We were on the first floor, so we did not have to worry about the lack of an elevator (during construction). Close to the train station but there is a large quantity of stairs down so not the best for anyone with mobility issues. Would definitely stay here again and can't wait to see what the location looks like when construction is done.

One issue we had is the rooms do not have enough plugs for phones and electronics. Not a deal breaker but we had four adults so even finding space for just the cell phones was a challenge.

I stayed the week that the Aviator had opened and everything was shiny and new. My room was exceptionally beautiful and clean - they were finished beautifully and looked just like the photos. The staff were so helpful and pleasant. They’d greet you like a friend when you came back in from your day. Overall I couldn’t fault the hotel once you were inside.

The “Mountain View” room didn’t exactly have much of a Mountain View at all and looked out onto the back parking lot. This is something that the hotel can’t really control but there is quite an issue with homelessness in Anchorage and it seems to be particularly bad within the blocks of this hotel. I was never bothered by them while walking back to the hotel but it can be quite intimidating as a young woman walking on her own when there are groups loitering along the road. That’s an issue for Anchorage in general though.

Hotel Aviator literally rescued me at the last minute when there was an issue with my other reservation. In hindsight, I am glad that the other reservation didn't work out because our stay at this property was great! Location, staff, service was very good. We didn't get inconvenienced because of any noise or other disturbances even though it is going through a renovation and is on a busy street. Adding a white noise machine was a great touch. The entire room has a modern and warm feel. All members of staff were very warm and courteous. Please continue to keep up the great standards.

Continenetal breakfast buffet selection can be a little better. Also, can have more reserved passes for parking at the garage opposite the hotel.

The room was recently remodeled with great decor. Good sized rooms, nice pillows and chair. Loved the Illy coffee maker!

The single queen room had a murphy bed in it which was different and not as comfortable as a regular bed frame. There is a train track in close proximity, bring ear plugs if the train horn bothers you. It does travel through the night. The lobby could use some more ambiance, music or something and the front desk staff greeted us with "name on the reservation?"

Staff were great and everything was clean. The room was well equipped but quite small. Basic help yourself continental breakfast items were included (with paper bowls and plastic cutlery). Coffee, tea, soft drinks and snacks were available all day in reception. The hotel is on the corner of downtown, only 5-15 minutes walk away from downtown sights, shops and restaurants.

A building is being converted to create the hotel. The areas that are open were all new, but some parts are temporary, and the reception area is doubling up as a breakfast area. The room had a coffee maker, but it couldn’t be used for boiling water for tea. We paid a bit extra for a harbour view; the water was a long way off across a car park, roads and the railway line, however it was also off the main road and quiet. Anchorage has a homeless problem, but we did not feel unsafe at any time.

The rooms looked brand new and just recently remodeled. The room we got was very spacious and modern looking.

The parking was not great. Paid parking was $15, and the we arrived late in the evening. There was no street light in the parking lot, and the area around the hotel isn't the nicest so it felt a bit dangerous. The entrance door from the parking lot said to use another door to construction, but there wasnt another door so the sign was confusing. Breakfast was not included and the room did not have a microwave.

Check out despite hotel not fully booked the receptionist was curt & negative to our request for a 2 hours delayed checkout as our flight was delayed. She reluctantly agreed for 1 hour & said we would be charged USD 50 per hour after that. In my 49 years of global travelling it’s the first instance of such response. I am a senior citizen too & a foreigner on US soil. For This sole reason I will avoid staying/ recommending this hotel to anyone

It’s newly renovated. The rooms are spacious and equipped with new seating area, beds, coat rack and robes! The bathrooms have a spacious shower and are very clean. The elevator didn’t work when we checked in but the staff was kind enough to help us with our bags! Most popular restaurants are located in walking distance. The train station is about 10min walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel is located on a busier street, so expect some street noise but not too bad.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The place is brand new and really nice. It is still under construction at the moment but we stayed on the weekend and heard no noise. They have a lot of cool additions they are working on such as a brewery and bar. This will be my go-to hotel in Anchorage!

The only problem is not the hotel but the area around has many homeless people. Security does a good job keeping them off the property. So as far as the hotel itself I had no issues.
