Great location, best restaurant in Anchorage on the top floor (Crows Nest). Could indulge in espressos from Cubby’s and a really amazing health club. The hotel has paintings from Captain Cook’s different voyages which makes it feel like a part museum

Staff was friendly and helpful everywhere. Front desk, concierge - even the wait staff.

Rooms could have been a bit more up-to-date.

Everything, the food was fantastic, staff was great, valet was so quick, location excellent, room was big, refrigerators were actually cold unlike some other hotels I’ve stayed at. The view was great too.

the room was too warm for me, however I completely I understand it…they couldn’t turn on the ac yet because it was getting too cold at night risking pipe damage. Being on a higher floor and small window openings the temp was 74 which is 10 degrees warmer then I keep. Again I understand it though.

Great choices for dining plus a coffee bar. Staff everywhere is so kind and accommodating from the front desk to restaurant staff and a super helpful doorman. My room was very clean, had nice toiletries and hot drink options. I checked out an hour late with no problem and the staff kindly stored my bag for the day until I finished activities of day before going to the airport. It’s a bit pricey, but nice to be spoiled in a relaxing, comfortable environment.

Hotel is huge and located in Downtown. Walking distance from mall, restaurants, stores and more. Valet service available. Junior Suite we received was exceptional, huge, and had a great view. Hotel has several restaurants, nightlife, pool, sauna and more. You can't go wrong.

Valet parking was $36 per day. If you don't valet park you have to park in another parking lot further off that still charges to park.

the bed was excellent perfect mix of soft and hard! the staff was exceptional! truly wonderful the Valet was top notch the housekeeping and front desk staff were amazing. the hotel is a historical site but while old it is well loved and excellently cared for! it is certainly old world style and class with new world accommodations and care!

not a fan o no free parking but it is downtown

I have been a frequent guest at yhe Captain Cook since 2007 and it is one of my favorite hotels in the world, it never disappoints. The rooms and facilities are comfortable and inspirational without being pretentious. Staff are gracious, easy going, and professional. Food, drink, and service in the Crow's Nest are world class, as are the views.

Check in was a breeze! Staff was very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful. It was only a one night stay at the start of our Alaskan adventure. We had a late dinner in the pub. Service was outstanding (sad I can't remember our servers name). He gave us excellent recommendations. The beef stroganoff was some of the best I've ever had! Very easy to walk to other establishments. The valet team is top notch. They brought our vehicle to us quickly and loaded our bags. Wish we could have stayed longer and had a chance to enjoy more of the amenities. Our room was well appointed and very comfy! We will definitely stay here on return trips!

Can't think of any improvements!

Everything on the property and in the room was clean and the staff were polite and friendly. Valet staff were very helpful and got our car and luggage cart right away.

We tried to order room service for dinner (it should have still been open I thought, the menu said till midnight) fletcher was open and we wanted cocktails since we arrived late. We were told it was too late to order room service. The next morning I tried to order breakfast from room service at 10 am and nobody answered in the restaurant or at the front counter. By the time someone DID answer it was after 11 am and they were no longer delivering breakfast.

All of the the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and clean. Restaurants and the coffee shop were very good.

Mattress was showing it's age a little. sides were worn down.
