Extended Stay America Suites - Anchorage - Midtown

The hotel staff was friendly and they had a grab and go breakfast. The room was spacious and I liked the separation of the bedroom from the living space and kitchen.

I feel it was overpriced but a lot of hotels are expensive in Anchorage compared to other major cities in the U.S.

I was happy to find the kitchen clean and the unit spelled great. The thermostat in the room made adjusting the temperature easy. They provide a free kitchen packge so you can utilize the kitchen.

The tub in my unit was small and creaked like I might fall through. The water did not get very hot in my room probably due to them being at full capacity. It was annoying that I was not advised I had to request a kitchen package at check in.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a couple of issues with problems in the room, they were fixed right away. Can cook in your room. Comfortable bed. Close to Kinley's Restaurant and shopping. Things could use a little freshening up, but otherwise a good value.

They only had one granola bar when I went down for breakfast. Out of everything else. I believe they are under new management and trying hard to improve the situation. Just walked to Kaladi Bros. and grabbed something to eat. Shower curtain was too short for rod. Water literally poured out unless you chose to shower against the wall. Easy fix, just get longer curtains.

All the staff and security were friendly and helpful during our stay. Nice location and very close to just about everything that you can actually walk to as well.

The property was perfect for our needs. We were visiting family and this allowed us space and the ability to relax in a living room area and the separate bedroom allowed for quiet. The staff was EXCELLENT! They were polite, met our needs and were friendly and accommodating.

When we checked in our room hadn’t been cleaned- we went to the front desk and the staff was awesome. They changed our room immediately and verified it’s cleanliness before we went in.

Staff is great, with a small breakfast and it's a nice room. However, the bed was hard springs...I do like that the room as a kitchenette.

The bed was the only thing that could have been better and softer

The location was perfect for us. We were there for a hockey tournament and it was central to all the rinks. We got 2 rooms and they were next to each other so that was perfect.

There were several broken things in the kitchen, the knob on the stove, the sink handle.

Breakfast items consisted of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, oatmeal, and granola bars. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk Julie was super nice and went out of her way to find us breakfast items on the last night's stay since we were leaving super early (before breakfast) the next morning.

Groups of African American right out front talking, a couple of arguments at midnight right by the front door. My room was on the 3rd floor and with the heat issue windows were open so I had front row to the comotion.
