This place has a clean and homey vibe. Its not fancy, but its easy to relax in and you can tell the owners care about the place. Has a good energy and you cant beat the price. Its also right off the main street where all the shops and restaurants are.
The outlet in my room wasnt working. But I called the number they provided for any needs at check in and a woman came and helped me find another place in the room I could charge my phone. It was late and I was tired so didnt want to have to deal with this, but also was really nice for her to be available at that hour. generally grateful for my stay there.

An amazing hostel in the lovely town of Williams. When I arrived the keys and instructions were ready for me. You have a whole kitchen with a stove and oven at your disposal as well as a laundry room. The location is great and calm, Williams is a tourist town so lots of restaurants and grocery shops 5 minutes from the hostel. Plenty of parking space.
Not much to say here really, the rooms are a bit smaller so if you have a big suitcase with you it is already pretty much full. The beds are also a little too small so if you are a larger person you might have to scooch a little but both are just tiny details.

I made a new friend who was a long-term stay. We had much in common. She shared her dinner with me for which I was grateful. There was free wifi. The big trees and indoor fans kept the building cool. The bedroom I was assigned was very clean. They emphasized great cleanliness in the rooms. The sheets seemed like they were real cotton, not microfiber. The guests were quiet. The price was GREAT!
I'm petite, 5'3". The bed was high for my short legs, but I needed to stand on it to turn on the fan. Nevertheless, I was grateful for the fan since it was summer. The bedside lamp had a switch that was also far from my reach. - - I wish I'd brought my laptop. The wifi was free and I asked for a room with no TV.

The location was perfect. It was a redone house on the edge of a homey neighborhood in old Williams. Very clean place. Very sweet front garden with outdoor seating areas. I was welcomed by one of the guests upon arrival. The key waited for me with my name on it. The bed was very freshly made with fresh rolled towels and slippers nearby. The showers were separate from the toilet areas.
On the front door was a sign that incompletely described where I needed to go. It needed to say, "Go around the corner of the building to the other front door." After driving five plus hours on I-40, my brain was slow to process the very brief instructions on the door facing the street. I'm finding that a tiny bathroom is typical of half the hostels I've been in. A bit awkward, but I've been learning how to manage my grooming items.

The kitchen was very well-equipped for cooking and tea, coffee, hot chocolate and oats were provided. Great bedside tables in the room. They provide a body towel, hand towel and face cloth per person - loved that!! Plenty of bathrooms at the hostel - never had to wait to use a bathroom and the shower and toilets were separated (hostel heaven!!). Laundromat is down the street, safeway is a short driving distance away for groceries. Check-in was seamless - a well operated system! Lucia and Max are super helpful! An easy 1 hour drive from the Grand Canyon. Great stay - would stay here again!
Our room was right next door to the kitchen and it could be loud from those rising at 6am. Appreciated quiet hours from 10pm, could be from 9pm as it ended at 6am. Room was a little small for two people but manageable. Great bedside tables! Was a great stay!

Don't book hotels. Book a charming hostel with single rooms and double rooms like AZ Hostel powered by the amazing Lucia and her family. You can't get a better stay. Meet nice people from all over the world. Cook together. Sit in the well equipped kitchen and enjoy global conversations. Lucia is the smartest owner on PLANET SERVICE: fresh water, coffee, oat, tea, cups, a fridge, ice machine, oven, microwave - everything you need is there. The shared bathrooms are super clean, everyone is very respectful, the area is safe and familiar. Safeway is a mile to the left, Grand Canyon 60 miles to the north, Flagstaff/Sedona an hour drive. Your are in the heart of Kaibab Forest and feel the heart of Lucia and her family. Wanna come back pretty soon. Thanks for the unforgettable week, felt like home. We were on a photo shooting trip around the GC and several quarries in the region, AZ Hostel was our homebase.
I was not allowed to take the two lovely cats with me back home.

First time staying in a hostel, and was a little nervous as I didn't know what to expect. location was great. Felt safe. Hostel was clean and the other guest cleaned up after themselves. Other guest friendly to speak with.
Only complaint was the room temperature was a little warm as it only had a ceiling fan to cool down. Once fan was turned on, ceiling fan would make loud thumping vibrations sounds which did not allow for good sleeping so once turned off, made the room hot. Room had a window to open but just didn't feel comfortable to open for safety reasons.

Everything, this hostel is very clean, the owners Max and Lucia work hard to provide a safe, clean and Quiet environment in every aspect of their business, I can't think of anything lacking in their business, the community kitchen has all you need to prepare your own meals, and the rooms, Very clean and comfortable, I really commend this family for caring about their business, and their guests so much. Sure, there are other motels in town, but if you want peace, quiet and a home style atmosphere, the Williams Hostel is the place you want to stay. How do I know this? I have stayed at the hostel for years. It just gets better and better every stay.
I liked it all, every day there is relaxing. Peace and quiet you get nowhere else.

My husband liked that coffee was available. I am a tea drinker but there was only green tea available. You might want to have different flavors of tea. No worries on my part, I brought my own black tea. Thank you for the hot and cold water dispenser. That’s nice that you provided oatmeal. I liked having use of your kitchen, which had a microwave and a stove and oven range.😊
A closet in the rooms would be nice, however there were two rods to hang our clothes. The morning we checked out. I noticed that neither bathroom on my end of the building had toilet paper on the roll and there wasn’t any additional rolls in the bathroom under the sink or I would have put the new rolls on myself.

Simple but comfortable, safe accommodation in a friendly setting just nicely outside the touristed stretch of Williams. The hosts are welcoming and clearly work hard to maintain the place and add pleasant touches (e.g. in my room, a decorative bed and bedspread). Don't be put off by the "shared" bathrooms: these are several single-user wc and shower rooms throughout, kept clean, so privacy and accessibility are not an issue. The kitchen is serviceable for breakfasts and simple meals. Parking is adequate. A laundry is nearby. Pleasant encounters with other guests. It's also at least half the price of most other places -- but that really is not the main attraction. Mostly, I felt looked after in (to me) a new part of the world.
It was a bit hard at first to find Lucy, and I had no North American phone, but I did arrive a little late. Of course one could note various imperfections, but nothing serious.
