The property was so beautiful, all the exterior and interior matched wonderfully and made us feel like we were in paradise. All the facilities were clean and easily located. The heated pool was such a welcome treat after a long walk on the beach which is literally in view of the hotel pool, only a couple mins walk away. The hot tub next to the pool was another wonderful addition as was the fire and seats that allowed us to enjoy the view of the waves at night. Everything was perfect and I cannot recommend staying here enough!

It’s barely even worth mentioning but my only issue was that the fireplace in our room wasn’t switched on by a switch like the other rooms but rather a dial that looked like it was for the air con so we didn’t know how to switch it on and had to call the front desk. They did say that they were going to update this design to match the other rooms.

I love this property. I love the people that run it. We've come twice a year for the last 15 years. But people have to be careful, the street outside the property has a downward lip when it reaches the sidewalk. This is controlled by the city or county, not the hotel. But nonetheless, it's in front of the hotel. As I was walking back to the hotel, my ankle turned in front of the hotel and I fell and severely sprained my ankle and cut up my knee. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short because I needed to get medical attention and go home. Again this is not the full of the hotel, but people need to be warned. I understand a lot of people fall there.

Location was perfect. Bed was very comfortable.

Outdoor communal firepit didn't work and trash around it hadn't been picked up from the day before. Also wine purchased in the lobby was ridiculously marked up. There's no A/C so you needed to leave windows open for air flow which didn't feel safe and secure given that it's a motel with folks passing next to your open window throughout the night. Roman shades on the window create visual privacy but also make for utter darkness in the day. When you're at the beach you want to see out!

Right by the water, had views of the ocean from the window. Clean and large, spacious bathroom, comfortable large bed for two. The fireplace was a nice touch.

Building was older and needed remodeling. For the high price of an older building, it wasn't completely worth it. No working heater and had to get a portable heater from reception. Water bottles in the room are $5 each, wish they'd been complementary.

The location was excellent you walk out to the pathway near the beach along on these wooden long trails with gorgeous views of moonstone beach. The room was large so our daughter could run around and it was nice they had tables with fire pits and a bench to sit out doors.

The check in was 3 and we couldn’t check in until 4 pm. We killed time in town and they were nice gave me a bottle of wine for inconvenience. The pillows were awful no support and the bed was uncomfortable

It’s a beautiful property w wonderful views of the ocean. They have a number of very peaceful places to sit and take in views.

I have stayed here before. They do not provide breakfast anymore and I think that makes them less competitive given the price they charge. They have also automated a lot of the outreach and I found it to be excessive. I would recommend that they try to restore more of the personal touch that is in keeping w the wonderful property that they have

Location is everything. The beds were comfy and there were pillows for every liking! We even took a picture of the pillow tag in hopes to find some for home!! The in room fireplace is a sweet touch and actually heats the room well. We've stayed here since 1995 and will keep coming back.

After 27 years, we really miss the breakfast room. C*vid took many options away. In the past paying a little extra for the delicious breakfast was a non issue. However, the price point is still slightly high and without the added amenity. In the room, there are no (or simply hard to reach) outlets near the bedside to charge the ever needy electronic devices.

The pool area and hot tub were very clean, the room was plenty big and the fire place was a bonus. Staff is super helpful and very polite. The maintenance guy on staff was incredibly helpful and was always around doing something. My wife needed some assistance for our room and he was over very quickly and resolved our issue.

Honestly there was nothing we didn’t like. Maybe the parking was a little tight for our big pick up. That’s all.

Right across the road from beautiful Moonstone Beach. One minute walk and I was enjoying one of the most beautiful places on earth, California Central Coast. 4 minute walk to Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill. This is one of the oldest motels on the beach, but it has been nicely remodeled on the inside. The room was good sized, the bathroom had great counter space. The fireplace, electric, was easy to use and very comforting. Rates are high all along Moonstone Beach, but this was a good value. Jack, the receptionist was very nice and helpful.

Could be more are better placed plugins, but I find this issue in most hotels/motels. The plug on the desk lamp was too loose to hold my charger cord.

Location and room lovely. Beautiful fireplace. Could hear the ocean from the room window. Easy access to the walkway along the beach. Close to Cambria, Harmony, Morro Bay. Atmosphere relaxing with cottage style and plants. Very clean. Good size room with high ceiling, table and swivel chairs, desk. Bathroom very nice. Good size closet and area for microwave, coffee, refrigerator. Plenty of room for suitcases. Good coffee and creamer.

Mattress could be a little better. Ours was okay but somewhat lumpy/soft. Refrigerator made high pitched noise in the middle of the night, so had to unplug it. Notified office, hopefully they will change it out. Shower could use a shelf in the middle, either very high by window or very low on tub shelf.
