The free breakfast was a real treat as it had protein, fruit, eggs, muffins, and cereal! Was worth it because we spent $45 for breakfast in Cambria! The welcome cookies in the lobby were a nice touch. The room was large with a very comfortable bed; however, the pillows were horrible! (too soft) The bathroom was large and the shower/jacuzzi was excellent. We used the fridge to store our water bottles and kept the Blue Ice frozen. We were on the second floor which was very quiet at night and be aware that the rooms have no AC which made the rooms very stuffy at night. We bought a small tabletop fan from True Value in Cambria for $35 which kept the room comfortable. We did not eat at the attached restaurant but had several meals in Cambria and in Morro Bay. Parking lot was large and convenient to room. We will be back again! The staff was very friendly and welcoming!!

The flat screen controls were very confusing to operate. had 2 remotes to make the TV work!

All of the staff were very friendly and hard-working. I LOVED that the breakfast was not just continental style, but they also served hot food that just kept coming all 3 breakfast hours. We didn't realize there was no AC in the hotel because of the weather in the area, but when we asked for a fan, we were provided one and honestly, probably could have done without it because we left our balcony slider open the whole time. Our room was clean and spacious, the bed comfortable. They provided free Dasani water bottles at the front desk and coffee/tea/cookies all day long.

Very good location of the hotel. Our family of 5 from Florida, Poland and London (United Kingdom) stayed in this hotel in mid-March 2023. The weather was not good, but the owners took care of our comfort. We occupied two rooms located close to each other, we used the pool and hot tub. It was very pleasant and moody. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Thinking about our onward trip to Los Angeles, we forgot to pack a jacket and a pair of shoes. The hotel staff was very kind and sent back the things we had forgotten. We are very grateful to them for that. We will recommend this hotel to our friends.

The customer service here was excellent! We came with a group of 22 people and they upgraded 2 of our rooms and gave everyone in our party complimentary snickers bars. The breakfast selection was great as well! We loved the firepit by the outdoor heated pool and the location near the beach!

The hot tub wasn’t working very well during our stay and the hotel could use some TLC, but still a good price for what you’re getting. Everything in San Simeon is a bit rub down, but it’s a remote location so that’s to be expected.

Great value. Free breakfast was very good. Check in quick and easy. Staff friendly. Room was clean and parking plenty and easy. Garden view was ok, pool was meh.

Exterior could use an update (I know the coastal weather is harsh)and chain link fence on the road was a bit ugly(not their fault). Walk to the ocean, as described was not quite what I expected. It’s ok, the comfortable bed and clean linens were the most important part. Lots of options for breakfast was a bonus.

The room was very spacious. The complimentary breakfast was nice and one of the staff (the first morning we stayed) was very friendly and constantly had a smile on his face. The pool & hot tub area was quite cozy. You can't take laps on it but it's a nice place just for relaxation. The fire pit was a plus!

There was parking construction where we stayed. It took 3 or 4 spaces out. We were concerned we wouldn't be able to park near our room. Otherwise, all went well.

Great value especially with the GREAT breakfast. So many times I’ve stayed at places with “free breakfast” only to find danish’s and granola bars or the like. These guys do it right with eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, juice etc etc - if you are a breakfast person this is your place. Edward, the manager, is the most helpful, friendly and amazing manager of any property I’ve ever stayed at. Property could use a little refresh here and there but, everything is clean and tidy. As long as Edward is still there and rooms are available, this is where I stay every time I pass through.

For a budget hotel it had several nice extras such as fresh baked cookies and coffee in the lobby. The rooms were equipped with refrigerators and microwaves. The breakfast was really good with things like scrambled eggs, waffles,hash browns and if you eat meat, there was bacon. There were some great little touches like packets of brown sugar crumbles for the oatmeal. Staff were very nice and efficient. Great location to access the beach quickly. And the hot tub, fire pit and pool were great! Very good value for the money!

A bit worn but definitely worth the trade-off of the low price given the special touches.

Location was perfect to the castle and to the beach ! Parking was conveniently close to the room, I could see my car from the balcony. The room was clean with lots of pillow options. Manager managed to get our room ready two hours early! Reasonable cost. Nice fire pit burning next to the spa and pool. There were lots of compliments on the great breakfast variety!

The mattress and the noise level. People upstairs tromped around at 10pm and talked loudly! The front door was so heavy over a very short step making it difficult to get in to the office.

Such a great hotel! The staff was amazing, the room was huge and provided everything we needed (huge fridge, microwave, big TV, very comfy kingsize bed, a couch, armchair, desk, even a balcony with ocean view ... ). Also a very nice breakfast was inclusive, which brought us through the day during our Big Sur trip and there was always fresh and free coffee and tea (and one day even cookies!) at the lobby. Unfortunately we couldn't test the pool because it was too chilly these days, but it looked very nice. We extended our stay for one more night because it was so comfortable. We'd definitely book again!
