I arrived early as I was traveling the country on my Harley.. all hotels across the nation have accommodated my early arrival times without question.The manager was rude here about it and I was cool I said I could wait and I would sit in the Lobby until a room was ready the front desk lady told me well we can't have you hanging out in the Lobby ....What? Anyway, a room became available miraculously quickly. They make you feel like a criminal with their check in policy. Room is very nice thankfully.Glad I'm only here one night the view from the balcony is spectacular. The manager needs to learn some people skills and be friendly.

Beautiful, well appointed large room . I loved the view , the bed, the refrigerator, the microwave and other little nice amenities. One thing I didn’t like was no elevator and we had to carry our luggage to the 3 floor. It would have been nice to have help as we are 70 years old. We did not know which room we had been assigned until we got there. I’m sure we would have been happy on the first or second floor if we had known or if someone had offered to help with our luggage. Other then that everything else was lovely.

The ambience of the waves crashing on the rock was so cool being able to go out on our extra large balcony watch the sea otters play We also had a fireplace with a Jacuzzi overlooking the water.

Nice view. Really big room. It's a big difference to have real glasses, coffee cups, plates and silverware, rather than disposable. We had a nice view of the river and ocean from our whirlpool tub. Very comfortable bed and the robe actually covered me. I'm not that big but the robes are typically small. The front desk was very accommodating in giving us a room that still had a nice view with very few steps to climb. My wife appreciated that with a bum knee.

Didn't care for breakfast, but we're pretty picky with that and usually don't care much for the complimentary breakfast.

The views are stunning, waking up and falling asleep with the ocean in view was amazing. Friendly staff and good central location. Breakfast was humble but delicious. We plan on coming back and staying again it was so delightful 😊

Parking lot is a little tight and a few mornings we were pinned in due to bad parkers. There is a warning sound that is pretty continuous for the harbor, it quickly faded away for us as we determined it would be constant. The hotel did provide complimentary earplugs for sleeping but I'd rather listen to the ocean.

Holden, the late night clerk, could not have been more gracious, helpful, accommodating, and welcoming when we arrived after a difficult drive. We arrived around 11:30 PM and he was bright eyed cheerful and friendly . He is truly an asset to your organization.! The view from our room was delightful and we enjoyed the comforting fireplace .

I telephoned the office before 7 PM to explain that we were going to be arriving much later than I had expected. We were going to be driving route one late at night in the dark. It is a curvy mountainous road with deer all along the route at night. The female receptionist gave me a very curt, almost abusive response when I explained our predicament. The next morning I asked for an additional hour to check out because we had arrived so late. I was offered no apology just a brusque “ no we have people coming into your room”.

The ocean view and fireplace were great. Room on top floor was perfect for my wife and I. Thought the traffic was going to be loud but we cldnt hear it really when the balcony door is shut. Open it at night to hear the waves and fog horn while in bed. Relaxing.

There isnt a nice and easily accessible pathway to walk down to the beach or pier. It is possible to get down there. We stay for the view and like being able to walk into the harbor from underneath the bridge. The balcony is only semi private with only a short barrier between them. Anyone in the adjacent room could crawl underneath or over the barrier and force their way thru the slider door. The top lock was broke and did not actually lock the door. A wooden pole or something similar to wedge the door from sliding open would be ideal to feel secure.

The ocean view was amazing, just what we were looking for. The orientation of the bed was towards the view. Also the furniture in the room was perfect for looking out the window. Not only did the room have a small deck but a window you could sit in front of next to the gas fireplace to enjoy the ocean view. The hotel is also right next to a walking trail along the bluff and you can walk down to the harbor from the hotel.

The only negative was the room did become really warm at night, we could have opened the slider with screen door. So can't really complain.

The staff here were very kind and helped make our honeymoon extra special. when we arrived the bed had petals laid on it and they even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate! The views from the room were gorgeous and the hotel itself was in a very convenient location. Highly recommend staying here!

It was a little odd to me that the rooms do not have AC however, they provide a box fan and in combination with the ocean breeze it stayed very comfortable.

The view is always great. Fishing boats motor below in and out of the neighboring harbor. The fog horn blows in the distance. The waves lap the shore....

The North Cliff Hotel's breakfast has lost its panache. The smell of freshly made waffles up in the loft of the lobby has been replaced by wrapped muffins and cold breakfast sandwiches smothered by cellophane. The warm waffles and scrambled eggs are gone. The loft is now vacant and quiet. Did I mention that the freshly made waffles and their sweet smell have been relegated to the archives of the history? Covid did it! We are now faced with take away prepackaged food for breakfast. No cereal! No warm waffles!.....Sad, very sad!
