Huntington Surf Inn

Great location across from beach and just down from pier, shopping and restaurants. Room had 2 beach chairs, umbrella and towels. Plus they had a lot of communal toys, boogie boards, etc. Fun themes for the rooms. Hard to tell from website what rooms could see the ocean. We originally booked #7 but the window looked at the office. Thankfully room 2 was open. Could see the ocean and right across from the deck which was great to sit out on.

It needed a deep clean and surfaces were lightly dusty. Was not a deal breaker as beds and bathroom were clean. Would also be nice to have a coffee pot.

This location was fantastic. Walkable to beautiful beach and the Huntington pier. The parking was included. The staff was very nice. The theming was very fun and it was nice to have the little shared balcony out front to enjoy the views.

You can tell it's a renovation of an old hotel and it shows a bit. It was clean and everything was workable, but it is a patch job on some things. This wouldn't make me not stay there because it was very comfortable and perfect for our needs, but just to be aware, there's a little roughness around the edges.

Communicated well. I arrived late and they still met me and escorted me to the room and showed me how the lights worked and where to get needed items from nearby 7/11. Room 1 for me was the best because of its beach view and size in the corner and also was very clean and bathroom looked updated as well and very comfy bed. Small ref and microwave plus small table with 2 chairs and good cable TV fast wifi close to the beach. Checked all boxes. Minor quibble no free breakfast included but otherwise will definitely stay again and recommend if going to the area. Enjoyed my stay.

Lighting could be better. Carpet may need a good cleaning as well.

We arrived very late - after the office was shut, but as we had informed them of this they made arrangements for us to get a key. This was really appreciated as we were tired and just wanted to sleep! The location was great - close to everything. There was plenty of free parking spots right on site. There was a nice little terrace outside. The staff were very chill, friendly and responsive.

The room wasn't the largest and it was a bit cold in the bed furthest from the heating - but we were only there for one night so it wasn't really an issue.

Love the Location, free parking, Decor, and outside Deck. Love the use of beach chairs, beach towels, and boogie boards. Staff always available, friendly and accommodating if possible. Thank you so much for allowing our son to park in the alley!

Wish you had an ice machine and the Deck would be extra lovely with a firepit. Also some frisbees or balls added to the toy section would be great.

The location of the hotel was perfect! The bed was surprisingly comfortable with lots of pillows which I personally love. The bathroom was beautiful and spacious and I love that they provided Beach necessities. The raised sitting area with a view of the ocean was amazing as well.

No ice machine. Air conditioner was way too loud to sleep with it running. Our room window faced the hallway where the staff supply room was so we didnt have a great view. The light switches were tricky to figure out (the light switch for the main over head light was on the far side of the room).

Very old hotel but very clean! The location was perfect for us. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We were traveling alone however this would be a Good hotel for families with extras such as sand chairs, beach towels and common space outside. Quiet place to stay as their prices are high enough to keep the riff raft out.

The decor was most likely fun at one time but now outdated. Our room had no curtain, only a black out shade that made it dark and depressing if you wanted any privacy at all. A light sheer curtain would have been nice for some privacy as well as to let some of the sea breeze in. With the shade closed the room got real stuffy.

Me and my best friend stayed here for a week in the beach front room (Room #1). We LOVED it! It has two windows you can see the beach from and your door is right in front of their shared patio. We sat out there two nights in a row to watch the sunset. Inn was quiet at night even though there were plenty of families staying there with kids. Walking distance to the beach and to Main Street.

This is a little gem of a property. Right in the heart of Huntington Beach I will absolutely be back. Thank you again for your attention to detail and how super your staff is. They let us check in early and accommodated us when we wanted to check out late.  They even had beach chairs, boogie boards, and toys for the beach.

Nothing, it is a wonderful hotel/motel.

This place was a jewel! It’s a small family owned joint right across the street from the blue Pacific. Each room has its own beach theme vibe. Ideal if you’re a surfer or not. My advice? Stay here!

My room was adjacent to the office which doesn’t have an ideal view of the ocean from the window. I stayed in room 5. Try to get the first room facing the West as you will have a better view.
