Hampton Inn by Hilton Irvine Spectrum Lake Forest

location was great, next to the highway but our room was so quiet. hotel looked brand new, very modern, stylish and spacious. breakfast was very good: waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, breads, yogurt, eggs and bacon. Our kids had a blast swimming and playing at night in the heated pool. There is also a nice jacuzzi.

Rooms were a bit dark. A floor lamp could easily help with the lighting inside the room. Bed lamp lights were not enough, so if you need to pack or do anything at night time, not having enough light is an issue. We wish parking spot was not charged. ($12 per night).

Check in was a breeze and they were two lovely gentlemen working at the front desk at the time unfortunately i did not get their names. It was nice to be received by such friendly staff on Christmas Eve. The hotel rooms are modern, seem to be new or newly refurbished? and it was very clean. Even the hallways. I was very impressed with how clean it was. Bed was comfortable. and there was a good size TV and even a microwave and fridge which was a plus! I've seen some reviews about cleaning/housekeeping but the sign in the bathroom clearly states that you can request this if/when needed. We contacted front desk for a few items, and they were delivered to our room very promptly. The bar in the lobby was not open at the time, but there is a little "shop" area in the reception area where you can purchase some stuff like water. drinks. snacks etc. Water was a bit pricey though ! Complimentary tea/coffee and hot water was nice though. My husband checked out the pool area so i did not see it , he said its quite small but I wasn't trying to go for a swim in the middle of December anyway! Breakfast was ok. Location - there are some restaurants in the complex across the road from the Hotel and location was perfect for us as we were visiting family near Irvine Spectrum so it was like a 7min drive from hotel. Lloyd at front desk kindly helped us with extending our stay and he was also very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast options could be more, and on our last day, on the Monday morning. it was quite a struggle to get food as some families were piling up the food not leaving much for others and the kitchen were not replacing it quick enough (bacon was a hot commodity).

The price was great! The staff was super nice and very helpful. They made you feel welcomed. Great hot breakfast. The facilities were top notch. Close the things we needed to do during our stay. The beds were superb!!! My son fell asleep right away. Most comfortable bed yet. Definitely had good rest. The list goes on! I would definitely recommend it. Will make an effort to stay again!

I didn't like that I didn't book the room sooner!! Wish our stay was a lot longer because the facilities were grand.

The beds were very comfortable and the shower was very roomy. There was no noise from the traffic even though the room faced the freeway. I like the fact that room service did not come every day. It is such a waste of water to have the sheets and towels changed daily. Thank you for trying to preserve our precious water.

The walls are a little thin, especially if a neighbor has the volume up on their TV. With that said, there was only one night where we heard a neighbor.

This was a last minute booking since my other reservation was cancelled in error at a nearby hotel. This property was clean, staff was friendly and parking was always available. I will stay again!

Advance notice on the room key being needed for lights/outlets in room to work would have been nice! When you come in at night (in the dark) and the lights don't work it is easy to miss the key holder at the front door until the next day!

The property was clean and well located. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.

Our room door was left open. The cleaning crew did not turn the lock back before they left, we aren’t sure how long it was open but it could have ended differently.

The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect, near 405, so easy to get to where I was going. Also several restuarant options nearby. The breakfast was also good and there was some variety each morning in the egg dish. The free onsite parking was perfect. There was ample parking available and usually I got a covered spot as well unless I returned to the hotel very late at night.

There was a slight issue with the room rate being changed when they moved me to a king room instead, but the manager was accommodating and resolved this issue.

Breakfast was very good, great variety, very clean and plenty of room to move around. Very well setup! I never felt crowded as I do in some hotels.

I really can't think of anything. There were plenty of pool towels. Staff was always very friendly and would take care of any questions I had immediately. I would see your staff cleaning. The breakfast staff was very attentive, always cleaning and making sure all items were full. Staff was always available and visible.

It was very comfortable and parking was easy and accessible.I also love that they provide hot breakfast.The location was great super close to a couple beaches and the highway was close by.

Although it was pretty clean the shower could've been cleaner.

The hotel is kind of hard to get to. The room was large and comfortable. The only thing that could have been better would have been I'd there were an in room jacuzzi tub for two. Parking is plentiful, and some of it is covered, although there's a $12 / day parking fee.

Parking fee?? Really?
